Apple MacBook Air DVD Burner

I'm trying to connect my Apple's DVD writer to my Macbook Air running Windows 7, but its does not work.  When I switch to the mode of Apple on the laptip, the DVD is recognized.  I also tried to plug the Apple DVD for a new HP laptop with Windows 7 installed and this laptop is also not recognize the drive.  Anyone have any ideas on the drivers that I can install to get the Apple DVD work?

I found the problem with my question by sheer luck.  I had traced my G: drive on a HOME network.  My DVD then mapped in G: drive when the network WORK, but has not changed the description on my screen Navigation of Windows.  So I thought that the G: drive is always unavailable network location.  But when I clicked it, the Apple DVD information has been posted.

I disconnected the mapped network drive, plugged the DVD player and whola, my connected perfectly Apple's DVD player.

Bring her back. It's new, it's at the shop for sorting or replace it, not you to try to fix it.

  • Is it possible to cast from an Apple MacBook air to a desktop apple no?

    Hey guys,.

So I recently bought an Apple MacBook air for my final year of University. We have weekly presentations and I was wondering if it is possible to presentations of casting, or still the MacBook (mirror to detect) screen on your windows desktop, as it is the operating system they have in the classes. I know that it is possible using a smart TV, but everything we have in the classes are the windows on desktop computer connected to a projector.

    Thank you very much!

Keynote can export a presentation in PowerPoint format for use on a Windows PC. I've used this for years when I was still in my presentations.

If you move the cable from the projector from the PC to your Mac which should allow you to make the presentation directly from Keynote on your Mac.

Looking to buy Apple MacBook Air 13.3 inch notebook computer MD760LL/B, processor 1.4 GHz Intel i5 Dual Core.  I want to learn coding app and cannot on my old Apple computer presents.  How life can I expect from this unless it becomes obsolete?

It is an MBA from 2013.  Apple currently supports the MBAS in the middle of the year 2008 and newer.  Draw your own conclusions.

New software that comes on the market will determine whether or not the MBA will become "obsolete".  Your crystal ball is as good as mine in this regard.

    Ciao.

Under the terms, you are allowed to install and activate both perpetual software computers, as long as you use it on one at a time.

  • Install on MacBook Air - DVD player not recognized

    Strange problem.

Just picked up my MacBook Air today and went to install VMWare Fusion.  Plugged in an optical dvd/cd drive and it is recognized by OSX - the disc appears on the desktop and I can navigate it very well.

I launch Fusion and he sees not the drive - no button continue unless I keep the DVD player.  The second screen does not see the CD/DVD.

What I am doing wrong?  Seems if OSX saw the disc, it would be the merge.  It's a serious iso on a DVD of MSDN Windows 7 x 64.

Going along for an hour trying to understand this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

She was told that I need to run vmware, rather than worrying with bootcamp or parallels.

    Thank you!

HM, test this point, I expected it to work, but in my results, I was not able to make reognized on my MacBook Air.

I tested and then on one of our test machines (which is a bit outdated, running 10.6.5 and missing the update of the firmware to 2.0 EFI) and it worked.

We have improved this test to 10.6.6 machine and it no longer works.

So it seems that Apple has changed something, and who broke our EasyInstall to physical DVD drive detection.

Therefore, you can create a disk image using disk utility and install using that for now until we work with Apple in order to understand who has bug is.

Here's our KB for how to do this:

  • Shooting Logicboard - Apple MacBook Air 13.3 (2014)

Hi there, my MacBook Air 13.3 (2014) simply renounced me. The problem started with it all of a sudden crashing while I was working on a presentation. Took it to an Apple authorized service provider and they ran a diagnostic. He was fine after that. Several days ago it happened again. Taken in, and this time they said that the logicboard needs to be replaced. Cost is MYR1500 (approximately USD350) and has only 90 days of warranty on it. My Apple care expired a few weeks earlier. I did a search within our community of Apple and it seems that MacBook Air that year has this problem (worth about 5 pages of comments from the community). Apple plans to do something about it? A reminder is needed. Isn't it?

You have to ask Apple. It is primarily a site for user support, in which the participation of Apple is very limited.

  • Win 7 drivers for apple macbook air trackpad

Running win 7 on bootcamp on macbook air and the trackpad is not working well. Can move the cursor, but left/right click does not work

This isn't the trackpad hardware itself because when I attach a USB mouse, the mouse works normally - no problem. And when I'm under Leopard, no problem either.

So I need drivers and software updated, I guess. The ides out there?

    Hello

(I need to copy a special "sharpening" ("Magic Focus") program that I downloaded. How can I find this file?

I don't know what you mean about "extended", but click once on your desktop and press Command + Shift + A and who should open the applications folder. Find the folder Adobe Photoshop elements 12 in there, then the support files folder inside and the plugins folder in the folder of media files.

Hi I need urgently solve the problem where I bought an Apple Macbook Air Thursday to use with LR5 I downloaded without problem, but when I try to create a new catalog on an external HD, it is said that LR can save in this location - LR catalogs can not be opened on a network, removable storage volumes or read only volumes. -It is not the HD because I tried another one where I created a catalog on a similar and used HD on PC and Apple Mac and it wouldn't read that either. need urgent help because I need to solve this problem for ajob tomorrow - I only bought the Macbook to use for photography and leave with LR5

Apple kind of it is resolved I had to change the format of the disc to ExFAT rather than MS-DOS - explains why the second HD has worked on the other Apple Mac, but not on this one should be so copy that data elsewhere reformat and copy backup... ugh!

  • Can I use your Apple TV with MacBook Air

I use a MacBook Air, 13-inch, mid 2013, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I am interested in Apple TV. With this product I was able to connect my Epson EB - S18 projector to my Mac in order to project movies that I bought on iTunes on my wall of the apartment? Would be there is always a problem to play these movies 'protected' outside the computer itself? Must they be downloaded in SD and not HD? Can I use a patch to connect my Mac to the Thunderbolt port to the projector via the HDMI port? Can I use a patch to connect the VGA cable to the port on the computer to the projector? Please notify.

    Thank you very much.

Can I use your Apple TV with MacBook Air

Yes! AirPlay with an AppleTV is the easiest to use and less complicated solution.

SD / HD makes no difference.

You will only be able to enjoy the full quality of an HD movie with a better projector however. This model projector is not really intended for presentation of home theater. It will work well. As you can imagine that there is no upper limit on the amount, you can overlook these things, but $2000 is going to buy a nice home theater projector these days. A few years ago, you would need to spend $ 50,000 or more.

Would be there is always a problem to play these movies 'protected' outside the computer itself?

No, not if you bought (or leased) from iTunes. They have to play on any device compatible iTunes. You can even use AirPlay to distribute it to your AppleTV from an iPhone.

Can I use a patch to connect my Mac to the Thunderbolt port to the projector via the HDMI port?

    Yes.

Can I use a patch to connect the VGA cable to the port on the computer to the projector?

Not without a converter. Avoid using the VGA if possible. It's a terribly outdated and generally horrible alternative to any digital standard. Since your MBA has a port Thunderbolt, and if your projector has a HDMI input, buy a cheap (± $10) Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter cable. But AirPlay is preferable to a wired connection.

  • Is it worth to spend on the Apple Care for repair on my Macbook Air?

My macbook air rcently got a problem in marketing and it is bound to be replaced by a new logic board. I am a student and I find that the replacement cost is quite expensive for my budget. So I'm wondering if I buy an apple care, this will help covering the cost of this? I have run out of warranty because I bought my macbook air 2 years ago and it is a technical mistake completely since I have never had any accident with my macbook air.

Apple Care cannot be purchased so that your Mac is still under the one year warranty. It's too late to try to buy it now. http://www.Apple.com/support/products/Mac.html
