Apple TV Podcast App Remote problem

I have the 4th generation Apple TV (with remote Ciids) and listen to the podcasts at home. I can't understand how fast forward or rewind podcasts via Apple TV.

I tired to pause and swipe, Menu and swipe, hit the main button, holding the main button... and nothing. Nothing allows me to move forward or backward, even if the touch key allows me to skip to the beginning for the next episode. I have looked at every possible combo of words and can not find someone with this question or a way to solve it.

Anyone know how I can move forward or backward through the application of Podcast on Apple TV? I can do in all applications except Podcast.

    My Apple Podcasts app has ceased to update when I update all apps. I get the error message 'Podcasts is available on iOS' and "for podcasts look for it in the Apple store on your iOS device" that stop my other applications update every hour. The purple icon remains. All my devices are Apple. Any suggestions?

  • the apple podcast app keeps a story?

    I use the app to apple podcast and listen to several types of podcasts.  I'll put up a podcast before going to bed and put my iPhone stop in half an hour, before his term.  In the morning, I'll listen to a different podcast on my way to work.  Tonight I might want to finish listening to one of the previous night.  But if I have listed several different on a long drive during the day, I don't always know that I listened to the day before.  I hope that there is some history listen in the podcast app that I'm missing.  Can someone help me?

    Select the option "Unplayed" in the background toolbar in Podcasts about episodes that have not at all been played are indicated by an icon of point blue (circle). The ones you started listening to, but has not finished playing, are marked with a blue dot half full. Which makes them very easy to spot.

    Otherwise, if you synchronize your podcasts with iTunes on your computer, select the last column has played. You will see the dates, the episodes were played on it and can sort before that date.

    That sort of thing happens from time to time - it seems to be a bug in the store. Go to the Podcasts Connect, log in, choose your podcast and click 'Refresh Feed'. Give it time - the store can take a day or two to update. If that does not work, contact support and ask for a re-indexing: who can solve it. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click on the link "Contact us" at the bottom of the page.

  • Podcasts App suddenly stops playing

    Since the last major release of Podcsasts I was struggeling with her. Fortunetely some of its bugs have been fixed. Unfortunately for the most annoying bugs have not. Maybe I'm wrong with my opinion, but I really think that the main purpose of the application of Podcasts is to read podcasts, right? So why does he completely suddenly stop playing podcasts? the only thing that can be done is then open the app manually and click the comparable play hidden button and continue playing. The whole OS would not react on something else if you do not do this. It makes no sense to me and as I got this question all the time. My 4S on children 5 years to my at the 6ers, I'm not very confident to get afix it all soon.

    @mgollmick, I have no solutions to your questions but I wanted to add on your frustration about the application of Podcasts.  I started regularly using the Podcast app 6 months ago, and it has always been glitch in a multitude of ways:

    1. when I select a podcast, it won't often begin play immediately, regardless of whether I'm listening to a podcast already downloaded or via wifi.  Sometimes it will take 30 seconds to 1 minute before the podcast begins to play.  At other times, he won't play at all, and I have to close the app and re - manually open it (sometimes several times) until I can play a podcast.  I noticed that I do not suffer the same problem during access to downloaded podcasts offline (for example, during a hike).  This leads to believe that it is a problem of wifi, but I never experience lag issues when you access a music video Youtube or iCloud on my iPhone.

    2. when the list of "Unplayed Épisodes", I'm often impossible to remove (or there is a significant shift to delete) of podcast episodes in which I'm not interested.  I drag an individual podcast episode or click the 'Edit' button to remove podcast episodes, but more often that otherwise, I am unable to do.  Once again, I have to close the application and reopen it manually a couple of times before that I can delete episodes.

    3. the application of Podcast will often suddenly crash within 30 seconds of play an episode.   Sometimes it will crash after playing for an hour, even if I do not have set the sleep timer.   I have to open the app manually and click the 'Play '.

    4. There is often a long latency when trying manually updated list of "Unplayed Episodes.  Why I immediately see new videos for subscribed Youtube channels so I manually update the Youtube app, but it takes a minute or more to see a current list of new episodes of the podcast through Apple app?

    5. the iOS app also does not sync with iTunes on my Macbook or iMac:

    (a) iTunes does not reflect my order of podcasts that appear in "My Podcasts" on iOS.  I have manually re-ordered podcasts on iOS so that I can quickly access my favorite podcasts, but this reorganization does not appear in iTunes even after that I have to sync my phone with my iMac.  In addition, the left column of iTunes (with photos of each subscribed podcast nail) does not list podcast subscriptions in order alphabetical or any other rational means of organization.  It takes time to find a specific podcast under "My Podcasts) to access the episodes.  Why no iCloud synchronize?

    (b) "Unplayed Épisodes" iTunes version does not reflect the most recent episodes that appear on the Podcast app on my phone.   iTunes is about 24 hours of delay in the updates, and when I try to update iTunes manually, it does not work.  Also, I get a message that iTunes stopped updating a podcast special because I have not listened episodes recently.  Why iTunes does not recognize that I regularly listen to this podcast especially through the iOS app? Why this information is not automatically synchronize iTunes via iCloud?

    I've always been a fan of Apple products, and I understand when there are software problems from time to time, but to have so many important issues that impact, use of an application is beyond frustrating.   I understand now better Walt Mossberg recent Re / Code article criticizing Apple for not fixing not important issues with their own applications.  Although his article does not mention issues with Podcasts app, its purpose is also applicable.

    Everyone knows the problem of the iSO native Podcast app stopping randomly during playback?

    I have an iPhone with iOS 9.2.1 6. I listen to podcasts downloaded through the Apple iTunes Podcast store, using own Apple earbuds.

    About 50% of the podcasts listened stops unexpectedly. They are not only suspended. I tried to see if it related to a specific action receiving a text or e-mail, but there is no model. I saw advice here to try to restart the phone. What I did, but it did not fix the problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    If I understand your app Podcasts will stop just to randomly play your podcasts without reason. I would start by stop smoking Podcasts and applications settings:

    Force an app to close the iOS

    1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
    2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
    3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

    When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

    iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset
     
    If the problem persists, save your device in iTunes, then restore it like new and verify that it works.
     
    How to clear your iOS device and then set up as a new device or restore from backups

    If this is the case, restore your backup either check it still works and just reinstalled software or circumvent the problem in the backup file itself.

  • Is it possible to load podcasts (using podcasts app) on the iPhone without the need to have these load on iTunes on Mac at the same time?

    I agree, download and listen to podcasts on my iPhone (6 s 9.3.4).) When I sync with my Mac (2008 Macbook OS Lion) it also syncs podcasts (obviously) but it takes too much space on my Mac, and I never listen to the podcasts on the Mac. When I uncheck the sync option of podcasts in iTunes (12.2.2.25), he said that it will remove all the podcasts on the iPhone too, that I don't want. Is it possible to download podcasts over the phone without also their sync iTunes as well?

    The Podcast app works using the connection of the iPhone and can sync no read using iCloud. Can simply browse podcasts and download them directly from the phone.

  • Apple Watch Podcast needs support now please!

    Like many people, I listen to podcasts where possible.  In the car, at work and while he was working.  When I bought my Apple Watch Sport around Christmas of last year, I was pleased to untether my iPhone 6 so that the work in the gym or jogging.  I dreamed of my watch using listening podcasts wireless with my Bluetooth headset.  Imagine my disappointment when I found that the Podcast app transfer to watch!  This seems like an EASY difficulty Apple.  Please add the Podcast app to watch, so we can synchronize a few podcasts at the same time.  Yes, I know that you can go on iTunes and record a podcast in a music file to transfer to your iPhone and then transfer to your watch, but it's way to much hassle on a daily basis.  My hopes were dashed again when watch OS v2 is out... still no native support podcast!  The watch is an excellent companion to the iPhone, but it should have more autonomous features.  Native support for podcasts seems like it should be easy to address.  I've seen a lot of discussions about this on the net (which I find hard to believe) so I thought I'd better step up.

    Ignore the update, Podcasts is built into iOS 9, you can't update built-in apps on your iPad (except through iOS updates). (It's show due to: remove the built-in apps from the home screen on your device iOS with iOS beta 10 - Apple Support)

    If you have not all devices running older versions of iOS (or if you do, if you do not use Podcasts on them), you could remove the application from the My Apps from your iTunes library section so that the "update" to disappear.

    Podcasts app is installed as part of the iOS. It cannot be downloaded separately in iOS 9.

    If you do not see on your screens home or inside files, check the settings > general > restrictions.

    If you try to update based on a command prompt in iTunes, it is a mistake. Ignore the message or delete Podcasts to iTunes app to stop messages.
