AppleTV

AppleTV will display the events of cable 'live' on your iPhone and iPad4 6Plus? If not, what do need me see TV/Cable programs as they look on the iPad 4...

Hello. Apple TV lets you view them on a TV connected by HDMI to web programming. That's all. Cable operators and cable networks often have iOS applications that allow you to view programs on mobile devices. As 'TV everywhere' service may be part of your subscription to the cable.

  • Unexpected airPlay with AppleTV list after the iOS10

    Hello

After 10 times my iPhone and iPad iOS update, I started to see some Apple TV which do not belong to me in my mailing list. For example, the 'Apple TV' and 'Living Room' in the picture.

I checked my router and I'm sure that I only have my own devices inside my WiFi environment. In addition, I don't see these two unexpected in my Mac iTunes devices, as indicated below.

I also did an experiment to unplug my Apple TV room and kitchen and then they disappear from the mailing list, while the other two unexpected are still there. I tried to contact them, and I was asked for passwords. So now I'm kind of confused why this happens. As I did not detect these two in either on my Mac mailing list or the list of the devices connected to my router, I think it might be some sort of bug introduced by iOS 10, given that I have never seen this before the update. I wonder if someone could please take a look at. thank you!

Also, here's an update. I tested with another Mac that is updated for Sierra, and I also started seeing these AppleTV unexpected AirPlay list (as shown in the picture), while for my two other Mac on El Capitan, I don't see this problem.

  • is there an app CSPAN for the AppleTV? Seems reasonable for Apple to provide one as a municipal public service essential.

is there an app CSPAN for the AppleTV? Seems reasonable for Apple to provide one as a municipal public service essential.

It is an application provided by C-SPAN, no Apple. Check and see if there is a C-SPAN app in the app store for your iPhone/iPad. You can then use home sharing, if the application permits.

  • How can I get my netflix and hulu accounts to load to the appleTV

We use netflix and hulu on our smart TV, but have some questions then got an AppleTV.  How can I get these accounts to get on screen the AppleTV.  The App store don't show them not as "in the cloud" to download?

    Hi Diane

Once you're on the appleTV, you shouldn't be on the interface (right now all what you're used to seeing) of your smart TV.

After you have connected your your ATV HDMI cable to your TV, your TV remote, you should be able to go to the respective HDMI (usually the key to which is called input or Source)

Once you see the ATV interface, netflix should be there. You should perhaps update your ATV first and configure it to your wifi for the first time.

  • With the iOS10, AirPlay works through AppleTv?

I used to listen to my music with an APR iPhone/iPad or airplay speakers connected to the Wifi network. Now, with the iOS 10, AVR / icons of speakers appear not more in my devices, only the icon AppleTv.

    Help appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hey MeJorge,

If I understand correctly, you try music to AirPlay device and it does not appear in the list of available items.
I recommend you read this article, there are certain measures that may be able to help solve the problem.

Don't see the AirPlay device you need? Here is what you should check:

    1. Make sure you plug in and switch on the device of airtime you want to broadcast on.
    2. If you are streaming to an Apple TV, make sure that the AirPlay is enabled in settings > AirPlay.
    3. If your Apple TV using Ethernet, * check that the cable is plugged into the router that you use for the free Wi - Fi connection.
    4. On your iOS device, go to settings > Wi - Fi and check that you are on the same WiFi network as your Apple TV or any other AirPlay device.
    5. Check the same thing on your Apple TV (or other AirPlay device):
      • For Apple TV (4th generation), go to settings > network. Make sure you are on the same WiFi network as your iOS device.
      • Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), go to settings > general > network. Make sure you are on the same WiFi network as your iOS device.

  • Homekit no longer works on Appletv 4 after tvOS updated

Before I could turn on the devices and turn off outside my network WiWFi as the ATV4 was the HomeKit connection. Now with all my devices on iOS10 and AppleTV updated to the new tvOS, I can no longer turn things works when I am outside my wifi network.

    Hi MulderDSM,

I understand that after updating to iOS 10, you no longer have remote control to your home devices. I know it's nice not to have to worry about leaving the lights on when you're gone, so I'm happy to help you.

It appears from your description, you must make sure that remote access is enabled for your account. This page displays more information on how to do it:

Automation and remote access - iPhone

Allow access remotely. Go to settings > iCloud, then light the fire. Make sure that you are logged in using the same Apple ID on all devices.

If you have an Apple TV using the same account iCloud as your iPhone, it will be automatically coupled and active for automation. To configure iPad for automation, see the chapter of the House of iPad User Guide.

  • AppleTV doesn't work after software update

I have a new generation AppleTV and upgraded to the latest version of the software, as it has been invited. After the upgrade, I can't see an image more. It is not the HDMI cable that I joined my old AppleTV and it works. And now the part of the frustration. I called Apple Support and they advised me to go to the Apple Store to get an Exchange because my unit was still under warranty. However, the new unit had the same problem. He works first, and after the upgrade, it became a brick.

Hello. Please see my response to your previous post Re: Apple TV update allows playback of video tvOS 10.0 breaks.

  • AirPlay on Appletv 4 does not not after update TVOS10

I have a lot of experience problems. Almost nothing is possible to airtime for my Appletv4 after the TVOS10.

I have an Ipad 2 with ios9 and an air of Ipad 2 with ios10, and every time I try to spread anything through airtime to my Appletv it shows only a few seconds - then it goes back to the menu page.

Apps works great - but airtime does not at all after the upgrade. I tried to restart everything, including my router. No results. I wish I could go down. Worked perfectly fine before. It's really annoying. So, now, I watch my favorite football team via a Chromecast.

Hello. A few questions to clarify your situation. Using AirPlay basis, not mirroring? Do you really see the program selected for a few seconds, not a commercial filling or other?

  • AppleTV Screensaver - number of Photos

    Hello

I have a shared photo album on iCloud with more than 2500 photos inside. They are all reduced to about 1920 x 1440.

It seems that appletv plays fewer than 50 photos. .. and I have the 64 GB AppleTV with plenty of space.

The same album plays on my screen to watch Mac and seems to use all the photos.

Is it possible to use all the shared album?

    Thank you
    Cooch

Only a small amount of space is used for the temporary screen saver photos of cache, usually around 100 but can vary based on resolution. The ATV is mainly a transmitting device continuously with only space for the storage of the applications.

If you want to view your album, you can create a slideshow

  • AppleTV has been paired with the keyboard but now won't do

My keyboard (mod-A1314) was paired with the AppleTV, I do not use it for a few months and now it won't pair anymore. The Bluetooth shows just the rotation of the pinion turns but never stops. I changed the batteries in the keyboard, but nothing helped.

What can I do to make this work?

check that the keyboard still works by connecting to another device, if the device works then reset the Apple TV and the device software update

  • Some films no longer appear on my AppleTv

I have a 3rd gen AppleTv. A few movements in my library is no longer visible on the ATV. I can see and read on the Mac so I think iTunes thinks that they are in the library. How can I get all to appear them again? my mac is a 27 iMac using the last software/16 GB of ram.

You use the application in films or computers to play these movies.

  • Our AppleTV alcoholic, if we opt for a movie / TV that was bought, we get the notice that it is "impossible to load the content. You need to restart completely to access the content you've purchased.

We have the AppleTV (4th Gen, 64 GB). Whenever we 'wake up' the AppleTV from sleep, we are unable to access all our content purchased until we start the system. We have never had this problem until a few weeks ago. All software is up-to-date and automatically update, internet is very good, and nothing has changed since we have implemented the AppleTV. Frustrating to not be able to access the content that we have already purchased without jumping through hoops.

    Hello

I met this time. All I did was to completely close the application TV Shows and reopened. It worked after that without needing a reboot.

  • AppleTV not recognizing HomeShared library

Hi all, for those who have seen this message in its previous location, I decided to move it. Why it is here, no one responded to it in the sharing category then I hope someone help here.

My apple TV (3rd gen, A1469 model, software version 7.2.1) does not recognize HomeShared of my laptop or desktop, libraries that have both different downloaded content.
Now, until someone comes up with a copy paste of the troubleshooting page.
All devices are on the same network.

All devices have home sharing enabled.

All devices use the same account for sharing and itunes.
    I restarted the router.

iTunes is open on both computers all the time.
I restarted the devices in all possible orders.

Now, I thought the appleTV was not only interact with other computers, but I can't airplay on both computers to the AppleTV.
Now, at first I thought that the ATV was just streaming on the internet and not in fact the computer, so I forced to through the option 'Read iTunes in the cloud' Airplay (I have set Auto Off). AirPlay works always.

So, which leads me to conclude that it can interact with computers, but simply refuses to acknowledge their library for roommate for some reason any.

    Anyone had this problem before?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Have you checked the necessary computer firewall for home sharing settings. I don't link to the troubleshooting page, since you have already seen.

You are the poster of this Apple TV not recognizing my iTunes (shared hosting) libraries? You have very similar writing styles...

I have long had a similar problem.  In my case, I have an Apple TV 2.

Part of the answer is to turn off home sharing, and then turn it on.  This should be repeated every time that you restart your computer.  Although home sharing is on when you last use of the computer, and all the things to check indicates that it is already on, it's not.

That's how it worked in El Capitan 10.11.5.  I reported it as a bug.  It seemed that it would be fixed.  It has been changed, but not fixed.

In El Capitan 10.11.6, it may or may not be necessary to turn off sharing at home, and then back on it, that it.  Sometimes it works when the computer reboots, sometimes not.  The problem since the release of 10.11.6, is that when the albums that are in the shared House are shown, the images are not.

On my system, it's completely reproducible.  I have reported as a bug.

Note that I refer to release builds.  I'm reporting the bugs with the systems put in place for beta testing, but these problems are in the release version.

  • How to set up the AppleTV on WiFi dual band network

    Hello

At home, I have a modem/router double band in a Hitron CGN3 installed, providing 2.4 G and 5G wifi access. However, the dual band seems not suitable for airplay, because they cannot communicate with each other via the double frequencies.

    Devices in the House:

    AppleTV (3rd generation): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #1 (version 9.3.4): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #2 (version 9.3.4): 2.4 g

    Audio/video receiver: Wired Ethernet

    #1 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    #2 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    Questions and facts of communication:

    • iPhone 5 s #1 (on 5 G) can reach AppleTV (on 5 G) - very well, but the iPhone 5 s #2 (in 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)
    • All iPhones and iTunes on laptops can see the AV receiver (on Ethernet cable)
    • All iTunes on laptop computers (about 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)

In my view, that airplay should work in the same network. All my devices to connect to the same router/modem, just using WiFi dual bands. Could you please tell how to configure to activate devices on 2.4 G to see on 5G AppleTV using airplay? Except the resolution that I have to put all devices on 2. 4 g. My laptop does not support the network of 5G, BTW.

    Thank you very much.

    Po

Had a similar problem with my router Netgear of Virgin in Britain. My router has a network of comments rather than the two strips running on the same network, then the router has isolate traffic from 5 G to 2. 4 g. I connected to the interface of the router and changed the settings for everything, and it works.

A way to check see if you have different IP addresses on devices ranges. 5g is 192.168.0 and 2.4 g is 10.10.0
