I have an app "Steam" which opens every time at startup when the computer turns on, but I have found no disabling this option as there is on other applications, if anyone knows if there is another way to do it?

  • Start the application at startup of Windows 8

    Hi all

I'm launching my application on Windows 8 at startup. I tried the Task Scheduler. My concern is that, with Task Scheduler, the application begins only after the desktop appears. My intention is to start the application at startup without having to navigate the desktop.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

Task Scheduler will launch an application, even if you do not visit the office.

Or, you can just put a shortcut in your startup folder icon.

Press +R to display the run box, type : startup of the shell and put any icon.  It will run when you connect.

  • Add the application at startup

    Hello Microsoft
I want to add my apps (Skype) on startup.
    What should I do?

While you cannot run modern applications from a shortcut, you can work around it by creating a batch file to start applications for you.

Using Skype and calendar as examples: open notepad and type:

    %windir%\System32\cmd.exe /c start "" "Skype:

    %windir%\System32\cmd.exe /c start "" "wlcalendar:

Save the file as startup.bat (or any other name with .bat extension) and move it to the folder on startup as shown above.

Add or remove applications that you want using the above format.

Maybe it's not the cleanest way to launch metro applications at startup, but I find that it works and it is dead simple.

    Hey mate,

As far as I know that the TosNcCore.exe file belongs to the Toshiba Bulletin Board tool. So in your case I would reinstall this app and you can download it here:

  • Starts an application at startup of the BONE

I need to know how to start an application when the operating system starts and makes it running in the background and listen to events assigned to the application.

In properties, set the system App and Autostart.  Application of system, it have no icon.  If you want to have a UI and the bottom part of the application, create 2 projects.  The 1st has no flag set (this is the app icon) and the 2nd is defined as "another point of entry" to the main application.  The alternate entry point app has system and auto-start flags.  Add a parameter to the background app, i.e. "BG".

In your main function, check the arguments.  If there are 0 arguments, the icon was clicked.  If there is 1 argument and it's 'BG', the background process started when the phone starts.  According to the arguments, instantiate a class of UiApplication (from the application icon) or an Application class (for the app in the background).

Improve the substantive application a GlobalEventListener.  Then, he can listen to signals from the main application.  In addition, you can have listen for events from the call to run periodically on a timer, etc.

Foreground and background applications can communicate using a RuntimeStore object or world events.

  • From an application at startup of the device for BB10

    Hello

    I was creating a demand for BB10.

The application should start at the start of the device and (preferably) stay in the background.

I found this http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/rim_background_element_1265316_11.html , but it doesn't seem to be something similar to this for BB10. Is there such a feature which is flush on BB10? or does perform a work around that.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Nicole,.

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before this error message?

Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot State.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you can go ahead and disable or uninstall the same.

Note: Put your computer in normal mode by following step 7 of the hyperlink after you identify the third-party application that caused the problem to occur

    Step 2:

It can also be caused by a virus, I wish that you run a full scan of the PC using your updated security software or a scanner using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

UPDATES... I HOPE I'M THIS SENDING TO THE RIGHT FORUM...

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps:

Method 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2: If the problem does not exist in Mode without failure, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 3: Also try to scan your hard drive for Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

  • Satellite Pro L20: Headphone port crackling noice at startup

    Hello

I'm a uniform crackling noise that I've isolated to the headphone jack (green) of my Satellite Pro L20, who is just coming (2 days) for his first birthday, running XP Pro SP2 with all updates installed and no apparent driver problem.

This noise occurs without any sound applications to startup and running, namely when you tilt the computer and Windows loads or when you get back to windows after hibernation. If I plug headphones in this port, of course, the sound is removed. All audio applications seems to work OK (for example Windows Sound, iTunes, Etc.) and so it's disconcerting.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Mikey UK.

    Hello

During the operating system boot process Windows uses a standard, stored audio file on the HARD drive.
This audio file can be disabled, or you can choose another.
This can be done in the control panel-> sound and audio devices-> Audio tab

Choose Start Windows box program of events and check if audio windows xp demarrage.wav the file plays without crackling noise.
If crackling noise appears then I assume that this file is corrupted.

You can also choose another file wav for this event or you can simply choose no and no sound will appear during the Windows startup process.
