  I bought a new Dell laptop (Windows 10 Pro) and LV 2015 (32-bit) is installed. I copied my project files and tried to build the exe file and received the error 8. After much searching for an answer, I created a minimal test with just a single white vi project and an exe based build spec to reproduce the error with. Whenever I try to build, I get the same error 8:

  An error occurred during the generation of the application. You don't have the appropriate permissions to create the application at the specified location, or the application is in use.

  Possible reasons:

  LabVIEW: File permission error. You do not have the correct permissions for the file.

  I can't quite imagine I could have permissions issues. I of course have full admin on the machine privileges.

  I've seen other messages (like this one) who speak to have Windows Explorer opened the path of construction when it tries to go up and get this error. I made double sure that I don't have ANY Windows Open Windows Explorer, trying to build. There was a mention in one of the positions which perhaps of LabVIEW in current directory is defined in the file generation, but I'm not quite what that means, or why that might happen when there isn't usually prevents me to build on other machines.

  I tried the procedure described in the KB, but no help.

  Interestingly, I have created a virtual machine (Win 10) for a different project and installed LV 2015 32 bits in the virtual machine, and all my applications build very well in the virtual machine. But on OS from my physical machine, I get this error 8 for all construction applications.

  I tried to fix LabVIEW, and also I tried to uninstall reinstall LabVIEW. Nor was the error to go away completely. After the repair, the project has successfully generated once. But subsequent attempts to build fail with the same error.

  My best guess is that some external process is the use of the folder and do not let you write here. The most likely candidates are anti-virus software or a service of indexation of a certain type. I'm guessing that he sometimes managed everything simply because it is a race condition and in these cases, the blocking part yet or is already done.

  You could try the building to a network drive, when these forces are less likely to be able to make the lock or you could try to find a software that shows you what software has handles opened in a folder and control for an offender. I seem to remember that the Process Explorer and SIW show this, but it's far from my area of expertise.

  I would like to know if any of you have experienced this problem.

  I run an application built by me in a computer with LabVIEW Run-time 9 in which I display a PDF file using an ActiveX control:

  

  The target computer is running Adobe Reader 9.0.  Everything works perfectly until the application is closed.  From time to time (almost most of the time), I have the following error in windows:

  «Application error: the instruction at "0x0ffd609c" referenced memory at "0 x 00000014".»  The memory could not be "read".  Click OK to complete the program."

  Try to find the reason why, I found a few forums who say that the reason is a bug in Adobe 9.0 (in fact, I tried to run the application with Adobe Reader 8 and I can't make the same mistake).  Someone of you have had this error before and found a solution?  These links were not on LabVIEW and I have no idea how to get around this problem.

  Who may be interested, I managed to find a workaround for this bug in Adobe Reader 9.0.

  It seems that, somehow, LabVIEW and other programming tools, hang around with this version of Adobe (I guess it is because of this bug) when the reference to closing Adobe created by the ActiveX container.  That the solution will be closing "by hand" this reference, then saying Windows to release the whole relationship between the application (LabVIEW for us) and Adobe.  The idea is that when we did with VI which displays the PDF via ActiveX, we should close the reference to the ActiveX control, close the reference to the VI, and:

  -process all Windows messages currently in the queue of messages (.NET: System.Windows.Form.Application-> DoEvents)
  -run CoFreeUnusedLibraries in "ole32.dll".

  

  I hope this information can help someone, I lost too much time to understand this (eventually find the answer in an Adobe forum!)

  OPA dear developers,

  Need your help around one of the new features of 10.4 OPA's Modules.

  I have two rulebases A and B.  While the modules A, I would like to be able to determine the results of the policies written in modules B.  So I created a module off B modules (select Build Module), has opened the project to the modules A and connected the output B modules in modules A .rmod (folder Modules > add a Module link..)

  When I try to debug without screens, construction is successful and I am able to investigate the rules in here B modules.  However, when I debug with screens, build and run for CONTROLLED substances, or build and run in OWD, they all prompt a strace pile on the screen.  The cause of the exception is a "means: Java heap space".

  If I build separately these rulebases, it works very well and no errors.  It happens when one becomes the other module.  How this error memory can be fixed?  I paste the entire error message below in the hope of helping the investigation.  (Sorry for the long text..)

  You can increase the size of the segment for the built-in Tomcat server.

  In OPM, go to tools > Options > Embedded Server, you should see under "Server Properties":

  -Xms200m-Xmx200m - Ddeploy.enabled = true

  You can just up the memory of something like:

  -Xms512m-Xmx512m - Ddeploy.enabled = true

  I normally encountered this in rulebases with many alleged (and deducted from the instances) relationships / aliasing / scope of operators etc... You can try your performance rules ensuring that the common logic is grouped in a single intermediate attribute rather than explicitly used each time.

  I don't know if it's the 'official' line but this has worked for me in the past.

  I was wondering if there is a way to push off the loading application autostart until after the SD card / memory Store is available. I'm having a problem with an app that I developed, forcing some users to enter a code of activation before the trial period is over. I did a class that writes debugging information on the SD card for users to send it to me, so I can see where the failure occurs. Well, it seems that the card SD is not available when you start, is it true that weel to store memory? If so, is there a way around it?

  Our application written in memory of camera store and enabled auto-start. First thing that is written to the log file is not at the beginning of the start feature, the still saw issues with our log file. At least, it seems that the storage is on front of network connection. If you still have the problem of storage, you could extend peterof idea and write to the file using some proxy in the buffer until the storage is available.

  -Did you change your computer, after which the question began?

  Follow these steps and check if they help.

  Step 1:

  APSDaemon.exe is a file Apple Application Support. (Apple Application Support, this is where are kept copies of the program files used by several different programs from Apple).

  Let's try something relatively simple first.

  a. restart the PC.

  b. now, click Start, type "Add or remove programs".

  c. Select Apple Application Support, click on 'Edit' and then click 'repair '.

  Step 2:

  I recommend you to run SFC scan as this seems to be a problem with the integrity of system files.

The screen turns white - I can ctrl-alt-delete to get the menu items to the top, but any of what to choose (Task Manager) for example, I get the same error message (error application taskmgr.exe etc.). • Equium L100: error memory after the installation of 2 modules

  I changed the default RAM in a L100 to 5300 2 x 512 MB sticks. When I install 2 sticks of memory vivid I get memory errors. I have run 2 different controls of RAM (Win diag and memtest86 and these problems).

  Now, when I use only one of the sticks, I don't get problems with memory and RAM checks are clear at all. This is the case for the 2 sticks of RAM.

  Also, if I use the original with either 512 MB sticks 256 MB stick, I don't get the error of RAM.

  I could with some suggestions here, please. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the RAM bars are OK?

  I thought the second ram slot could be corrupted, but you post the original 256 MB and 512 MB additional module worked correctly. So, it seems that the second location is ok.

  Looks like your first connection attempt is closer to golden. with oracle express edition default SID is "XE" without the quotes, so you'll need spend the ORCL SID that the connection is looking for, so the "currently know of SID given of".

  You should fnd ORCL sid somewhere in the configuration... I'm not familiar with the details of what you are trying to do, but it's my best guess...
