    Hello

    1. are you able to boot in safe mode?

    Method 1.
First of all I ask you to check if you can boot to the desktop in SafeMode with network. Then we can run the online antivirus scan. I also recommend you update your security software regularly.
    a. follow the link below to start the free online scan:
    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

    b. run the malware removal tool from Microsoft.
Microsoft Malicious - 32-bit removal tool

    Method 2.
If the problem persists, then you can perform the system restore in safe mode, to an earlier time and see if you can boot to the desktop. If you are able to start, and then run the scan online from the links above and check.

  • How can I remove an application from the start menu

I have an iMac with OS El Capitan 10.11.5 update.  My startup is too slow, and Excel is one of the applications that start automatically.  I really want to remove it from opening each time, but can't find a way to do it.  I went to the route Finder, GB, computer, Macintosh HD/Library/StartupItems, but no apps are listed.

I can't find it under system preferences iMac (and have lived each icon), or in the Excel application.  Any guidance?

OK, so I followed the instructions from another thread stuck in Temp Mode, and it worked pretty well--apart from a few customization details... and some of my Apps Menu start are tapping out. How do you get these apps in Windows Explorer so that I can properly re - transfer to my new account?

You can't, the apps are installed by user and integrated.  You'll need open the app Store and reinstall those you want.

  • The start menu has disappeared from the computer... With explore 7 and the upper part is not constant either. No miracle solution?

The start menu can only be achieved by using ctrl and esc.  Sometimes, it would be great if they kept things simple.

    Hello coinfused,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

The taskbar is visible? Usually when you ctrl + esc and get the start menu, it means that the hide feature is automatically enabled for the taskbar.

    ·         Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar expected popup.

    ·         Right-click on the taskbar visible now and left click on properties.

    ·         Search for auto-hide the taskbar, uncheck the box in the box and click ok.

    Hope this helps

  • How can I add my Documents on the right side of the start menu?

I had my old computer set up so that there is one, I suppose, a link to My Documents on the right side of the Start Menu.  If I clicked it it made a menu drop-down, and then resumed for a folder in there.  The hard drive on this computer is dead on my and I try to get this new back upward in the same way as the old.  Can someone tell me how to get that back?

But you see the small triangles, not you?

Depending on what you select here:

    gives you the following options:

    • Display as a link - button when the Start Menu is clicked, it opens a window for it.
    • Display as a menu - button when the Start Menu is clicked or hovered over, he developed a menu for him.

Do this for all items (computer, Documents, etc.).

And this isn't a right but normal (left-clicking) click...

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.
