Application manager not updated on Windows 8

I try to check the updates with the help of Adobe Application Manager on Windows 8 and I get this error:

The update server is not responding. The server may be offline temporarily, or the settings of firewall or Internet is perhaps incorrect.

I have seen this error before on Windows 7 and remembered that I needed to disable Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter. I sailed in the right place but the Miniport Adapter was not there. After a bit of research in several forums, I saw a recommendation to change < logLevel > 2 < / logLevel > to < logLevel > 10 < / logLevel >. I tried which and again once it still does not work. I also tried to disable my antivirus and by disabling Windows Firewall. None worked.

I don't know what else to try or do at this point.

Are there other recommendations to solve this problem?

Note:

I am running Windows 8 Pro using the creative Version of CS6 cloud.

PROBLEM SOLVED! I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION!

~ For Windows 8 ~.

(1) under control panel, go to the search bar top of the page to the right and enter in 'Device Manager '.

2) click on "Device Manager" after the search

You should see a tree map of your devices in the new window

(3) browse: view > show hidden devices

(4) under "Network adapters", right click on "Microsoft Wi-fi Direct Virtual Adapter" and select Disable.

(5) run updates for your Adobe software on your machine, Windows 8 and VOILA!

  • Adobe Application Manager - some updates could not be installed

I just rebuilt my OS (Windows Home 64-bit 10) and reloaded my installation CD PS5. When I went to check the updates (there should be some new!), they showed me that there are updates for each product in the suite. I said to update App Manager took about 5 minutes and I was told that none of the updates could be downloaded. ("There was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. ") After 4 hours of this, still no luck. I use Kaspersky and I tried with UAC on and outside.

What Miss me? Is there something in the firewall of Kaspersky I need to address? (I can't find anything, but that doesn't mean no it isn't something here.) Anyone have any ideas?

  • conditionally quickly monitor the key based on LabVIEW being the application of the update in Windows

    Hi all

I use LV 2009 in Vista.  I use a VI dynamic, in addition to higher level, to monitor the key pad.  It works great except for the fact that when I have another application open during the execution of the LabVIEW application, it still meets the press of button.  that is so that the use of the calculator and pressing the ESC key to clear the display, LabVIEW reacts as well.

LabVIEW will know if it is the "application of the update" in windows environment?  I know he can tell it is windows that are in front, but what about other applications?  I think to use this to filter keys when LV is not the front application.

  • Could not update to Windows 8.1 0xc1900101 - 0 x 20017

I am on Windows 8 on an Acer TravelMate 5730 and decided to take the plunge to upgrade to 8.1 Windows. Reboot, I received the following message: "could not update to Windows 8.1 0xC1900101 - 0 x 20017. What is the 0xC1900101 - 0 x 20017 error?

I lost many times that I tried to install Windows 8.1, always for the same message. I searched the forums and my laptop rebuilt despair, assured all the drivers are up-to-date by downloading the software update driver and all the updates of Windows 8 have been installed. Has anyone in the community of the ideas on the problem or issue?

    Concerning

    Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm,

This error message is displayed when there is a driver problem. Since you've already done so that you have all the updated drivers, I would suggest trying the following steps and check:

I first suggest you remove all the devices connected to the computer with the exception of essential devices such as the keyboard and the mouse, and then start the computer and check.

    Method 1:

If you have installed a third party such as antivirus/firewall program security software, they can interfere with the download. I suggest to temporarily disable and check if you are able to download the update.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, I you suggest to start the computer in a clean boot state and then try to download and install. Start your computer in a clean boot state, you can reduce conflicts between software and help identify the root cause of the problem. You can read this article for more information:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: after the resolution of the problem, reset the computer to start as usual. Refer to the step How to configure the computer to start as usual after a boot minimum troubleshooting under more information.

Note: We sent you a private Message, asking for log files continue to troubleshoot the issue. Please respond to the private Message with the requested information.

  • Windows 8 applications do not update?

    I installed Windows 8 yesterday (October 27, 2012).

Interesting... Microsoft still does not seem to include seamless integration / implementation and has some problems serious with the abandonment of recognized standards (POP3!) but that's another story.

In the App Store, I had six applications that said that they had updates available. I selected all the and choose install.

Nothing seems to happen... Green dots fly in the upper part of the screen, but nothing seems to be updated.

My system date is correct, time is OK, everything is fine. I updated an application after the first installation of Windows 8, and he updated very quickly.

These applications do not appear to be updated.

Any ideas? The updater is so bogged down X number of people trying to update the same apps at the same time?

I'm on Verizon FIOS and my internet speed is pretty darn good (download speed 77,96 Mbps upload speed 48,52 Mbit/s to Virginia to test the server in Pennsylvania) so I don't think that is the question.

Here's how I solved my problem.

The goal is to remove or rename the "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" file located in c:/Windows. Usually, it seems that windows will not let you change the folder because other services are constantly using it. So I booted in safe mode.
    (1) search apps for 'run '.
    (2) enter "msconfig" in the box run and click on enter
    3) go to the tab startup and check the option "Safe Boot". Click ok and then click on the option "Exit and restart" after that.
    (4) once you have started using safe, go to C:/windows of your applications to search for 'Computer' and navigate well the c: / drive.
    (5) you should see a folder called "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution". Rename it to 'SoftwareDistributionOld' to be on the safe side in the case where you still need.
    (6) repeat steps 1-3 to return to the secure boot option. This time, uncheck and then quit and restart.
When you start to save, open the app Store of Windows and click on the update notification. I hope that you will be able to attend your applications up-to-date perfectly!

There is no second running instance of Adobe Application Manager.

There is a common workaround solution circulating the net since 2010, which recommend starting PDApp with sudo under root permission. Although this work around is successfully updated, it is not a sufficient solution in the long term.

Obviously there is a problem with the permissions of files somewhere when running under normal user permissions.

I already searched the places following, but without success:

    $HOME/Library /.

    / Library/Application\ Support/Adobe /.

    / Library/Preferences

    / Library/cache /.

Well, the next step could be a complete Update Manager dtrace to isolate the problem.

But please, Adobe, it's really not my job

    Please provide an adequate solution.

Many thanks and best regards, Norman

  • Adobe Application Manager Trying Update itself gives the error Code: U43M1D207

I have CS5 running on Windows 7 with Adobe Application Manager and I have ben notified and installed the software updates very well for the last 18 months. But there are a few days the Adobe Application Manager informed me of an update and every time I have try and install the update it gives me the following error after downloading the patch 'a mistake to is updated. Quit and try again later. Error code: U43M1D207. »

I tried several times the update even after restarting the system. It seems to me that it is an update for Adobe Application Manager itself.

    Any thoughts?

If not I can remove this app, so I can get rid of the annoying icon on the bar telling me tasks, I have an update avialble who can't be implemented?

    Thanks for any help.

I went into the preferences for the application manager and the saw was both CS5 and CS6 products listed and so I just disabled all CS6 products and he said no update available and the icon went away. I also see in the preferences, you have the option to disable the icon in the task bar if you don't want to tell their updates.

  • Adobe Application Manager is updating every time I start it.

I use Adobe Application Manager Mac OS 10.6.8 to manage my subscriptions Photoshop and InDesign. A few days back, Adobe Application Manager downloaded and installed an updated (to himself) and since then, whenever I open it, it installs an update (the message says "updating Adobe Application Manager"), and then asks for my password of Mac OS and then my Adobe ID and password. So, if I light 5 times a day, each time the same process will be repeated. It's so frustrating and unnecessarily consumes my internet bandwidth. All troubleshooting help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Adobe Application Manager is no longer used now to download and install applications on older operating systems.

Adobe Application Manager is automatically updated for the purposes of Office Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac OS X 10.7 or later and Windows 7 or later version.

  • Application manager is updating itself in CC

I had to reinstall the creative suite Premium Prod 6'n & the creative suite 5.5 design premium due to a PC failure.

Both installed OK without any problems.

After that, the App Manager me informed of updates are available. He showed most of the applications have updates available.

The first was the Manager of the Application itself. So I selected that & deselected others, update, then intended to be run again to select other updates.

It updated OK, but now when I open it, the window that appears is all about creative cloud. I see anywhere how to check updates for applications. CS5.5 & CS6 installed on my PC.

How to return to the usable App Manager?

Adobe Creative cloud is nothing, but updated the version of Adobe Application Manager.

As you use 6 CS and CS 5, you can simply download and install the updates manually, which is comparable pomp that automatic update unless you had installed a lot of Apps lol

  • I installed Adobe Application Manager, it updated itself to Creative Cloud?

Hello, I assumed erroneously that the Adobe Application Manager icon was to check the updates to Photoshop CS6, but it is indeed to launch the Setup program for the application manager that automatically updates to Adobe Creative cloud.

I'm not a Subscriber CC, I have a local installation of Adobe Photoshop CS6, I can uninstall safely creative Cloud?

Is not serious anyway. The CC app is the new AAM.
