  What is the patch number? If the readme says to apply on the CM/DB node then comes to do otherwise, you should apply on all nodes.

• Error application Cumulative Patch (p17546336_111171_Generic)

  I have made several attempts now to apply the patch cumulative, published in March and failed each time.  I made sure the condition sine qua non patches have been applied to both OBIA and ODI, I stopped and restarted the entire stack OBIEE but I get the same error:

  SEVERE: Cause is:

  java.lang.RuntimeException: error on reading or writing filejava.io.FileNotFoundException: /u01/app/oracle/product/fmwhome/Oracle_BI1/.biapps_patch_storage/biapps-md-patchInventory.xml (no such file or directory)

  I checked and indeed this file is missing.  I guess I missed something along the way?

  The client had moved all folders of SDE adapter they used not to another folder to declutter their ODI Designer tab.  I have all the files of the adapter SDE withdrew to their original locations and patch finally completed successfully.

  Most of the time the Peopletools patches are cumulative, you do not need to apply the previous to apply later. But overall, read the documentation, everything is well explained there.

• Application of patches to the IOM

  I'm about to apply patches 9.1 of the IOM. I found a few fixes in metalink (7156789, 7368324, 7462455), but I need a clarification:
  
  Do I need to apply all patchsets available (BP01 BP02, BP03), or are they cumulative?
  
  I saw in its ' readme files "that many resolved bugs are present in 3 of them, and others are not. Has anyone apply these hotfixes before?

  We applied BP02 successfully. It was really easy: we have followed the README provided, and everything went well.

  BP02 was a rollup. I think BP03 is a cumulative patch also, but I'm not sure.

  Also, check the note 743221.1 if you have deployed the web service IOM SPML on JBoss.

• application patch 10152652 compilation error

  I was following notes 437878.1 at level 10.1.2.3 tech stack.

  I've seen this error when executing post install steps after the quick installation.

  The work-around, I knew was to recreate a link to libXtst.so.6:

  remove the /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6 link
  ln-s /usr/X11R6/lib/libXtst.so.6.1 /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6

  After the restoration of links to the motif version I have re-directed the "sh. / patch.sh ' and it is completed successfully.

  Is it a good or recommend get around them?

  Simple I'll link /usr/lib/libXtst.so.6-> libXtst.so.6.1.0?  And then move on.

  Please notify.

• How to apply for a NLS 21030421 patch

  Hi, I need a patch of 21030421 Dainish, which is not available.

  That said, do not expect Palm to provide public support for a phone that has been customized.  If you modifty your phone, you need to be prepaired to:

  1 restore all patches/settings on the device * BEFORE * apply a new update to Palm webOS.

  2. be ready to run webOS Doctor when things go wrong.

  I see that an initial version starts to v1.0.0 and I imagine that this essentially follows the semantic versioning system is MAJOR. MINOR. PATCH

  I can see that when you use the Patch the number grows to version by a passerby from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1

  My confusion is that this is called a Patch, but is in fact a full file replacement. I created other applications by using Visual Studio, and when I have to create a Patch with those I use a Patching app that creates a small file, which is smaller than the original because he doesn't need that information has changed and not the build.

  OK, I think I worked it.

  It must relate to the BundleID element.

  Basically, I think you can get version almost anything as long as it is in the 0.0.0 format and all versions of the add-on that is higher than the last version published by using the BundleID even element will be pushed to users and replace the old version.

  My is that correct?
