Application recommended. First request first served?

Hello

I'm just curious, if with apps in appworld is something like 'first request first' served?

I sent the RIM 4 weeks asking my application to the list of featured applications. Until today, I got nothing from them. On the other hand, I see some applications featured, which were released only 2 weeks ago. Some have even no comments yet (I thought side should be 3 +).

How long does take normally (for those who have had their applications featured on App World)? RIM will send us a message if the App is not qualified to be presented?

Thank you...

I had one of my apps featured.  There were about 8-10 weeks of the demand for it goes on the list.

I'm not convinced it's first come first served - I think that they cherry pick them.

  • Application.CFC on the test server

    Hello

    I use Application.cfc on the local server to test, and I'd like to test my site in a subfolder "/ beta" on the remote server.

    I wish I had an Application.cfc in/beta/admin so to have different behaviors. So I used an ApplicationProxy.cfc in/beta/admin that inherit from the Application.cfc of /beta, but I get the root one.

    I think with Application.cfm, would be easier: If there is nothing in this record, the app will search the folder above and so on. If I could move files without hassle.

    But I also need Orm...

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you

    I wish I had an Application.cfc in/beta/admin so to have different behaviors. So I used an ApplicationProxy.cfc in/beta/admin that inherit from the Application.cfc of /beta, but I get the root one.

    The file/beta/admin should always be Application.cfc.  You have another file dir which extends from the root of your Application.cfc... does not mean that CF knows to look for.  CF Search Application.cfc, not ApplicationProxy.cfc.

    The Application.cfc in/beta/admin should extend beta. Request.

    For applications, hosted on a private server, users have to reinstall the application to see the updates to the App Builder? Let's say that I was updating a banner of right or a library style...

    If you change the .zip offline banner or a library style that is part of a .zip file that you specify in DPS App Builder, then Yes, you must change the app and make it available for users to update. But if you change the style of banner or library that is hosted on a server, the changes appear immediately without any modification to the application.

  • Application of Service Web ADF Server - case Variable senseative

    I built the server using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3 application to be used by external users.

    I wrote the class to use as the

    @WebService (serviceName = "TestProxyServlet")

    public class TestProxyServlet

    {

    @WebMethod (operationName = "sayHi")

    public void sayHi(@WebParam (name = "SomeName")

    String unnom)

    {

    System.out.println ("Hello" + unnom);

    }

    }

    Note the variable 'SomeName' with big "S" at the beginning.

    But when I went through the visualization, the WSDL file generated showing the 'SomeName' variable as:

    < xs: element name = "someName"type = "xs: String" minOccurs = "0" / >

    You can see that JDeveloper automatically change the name of the variable 'SomeName' to 'someName' who exactly, I want to avoid.

    How to force JDeveloper to use the name defined in the class and rating?

    Bonus: Why I want to do this?

    When the external user tries to send the request to the application server, use using the following xml tag:

    Salman < unnom > < / unnom >

    The application does not recognize the tag and consider the variable to null. When change request to < unnom > Salman < / unnom > it works, but I want the first letter uppercase

    In fact, it is was simple example. The reality is that I am using a complex object in sayHi method, JDeveloper is auto, change the variable name in the complex to be tiny at the beginning with type

    Problem is solved by adding the @XmlElement (name = "MyVar1") annotation before variable defination as follows:

    It's different coding by comparing to the question, but it's the same idea.

    Import javax.jws.Oneway;

    Import javax.jws.WebMethod;

    Import javax.jws.WebParam;

    Import javax.jws.WebService;

    Import javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlElement;

    Import javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlType;

    Class MyObject

    @XmlType (name = "MyObject")

    @WebService

    public class MyObject

    {

    Dim MyVar1; Variable with capital letter at the beginning

    @XmlElement (name = "MyVar1") / / this line solve out. "The variable will keep am" uppercase

    @WebMethod

    public void setMyVar1 (@WebParam (name = "MyVar1")

    Dim MyVar1) / / added manually after creating web services

    {

    This. MyVar1 = MyVar1;

    }

    @WebMethod

    public String getMyVar1()

    {

    Return to MyVar1;

    }

    }

  • Application error handler: "the update server is not responding."

    With each attempt to check updates for Creative Suite 5, the Application Manager responds immediately with an error: "the update server is not responding. The server may be offline temporarily, or internet or Firewall setting may be incorrect. Please try again later. "My last check for updates was 27/03/2012.

    I haven't added any restriction since 3/27. I do not block outbound communications in my firewall. All communications through all firewalls are functioning normally.

    Is there a way to check if the update server is really low?

    Perhaps the address of the server has changed. It would not be the first time that a person no - think had this notion: '' this is what we will do, change the IP address of the update server and then unroll the new address in the next update."

    Thanks, Tooky. You nailed it.

    For anyone who reads this, simple workaround for this problem on Windows is as follows:

    • Open the Device Manager. To do this, type "device manager" in the search bar of the Start Menu.
    • Open "network adapters."
    • Disable any device driver listed with the name "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.... ». To do this, right-click the name, and then select "disable."
    • Try updating Adobe Application Manager. This should work for now.

    I don't know if the original plan of Microsoft to push the use of this driver in the throat of the Windows 7 certification companies never materialized. So although my internet and network connections remained after I disabled the driver, I recommend the pilot in reactivating once your update is complete.

    TookyDC has been damaged, but easy enough to find a way to fix. If you want to read the outdated Adobe solution still works for this problem, the fixed link is http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-update-server-repsonding-cs4.html.

    WARNING: After completing the last updated Adobe, Microsoft Security Essentials is now failing to validate Windows 7 on my computer. By reactivating the above driver did not help. This could be an isolated incident. But you should be aware of the problem I now have much more serious. What a joy!

  • Application on Win and PHP server

    Hello

    I created my first Flex very simple application that displays data from tables in my DB. I installed WAMP on my computer, but when I exported the liberation and uploaded it - it didn't work.

    I use ASP in my site, and it runs on Windows server. My implementation is based on PHP.
    I can do it again if necessary, but I don't know if it is possible to make the application work on my site.

    What should I install on my server (if any), to make it work? My site manager do not want to install Apache.

    Is there a way?

    Thank you for your help.

    There are many sites that will tell you how to set up PHP on a server of the ISS, but I recommend u to use ASP for all your backend in the future because looks like you know better or find a better hosting service because most good now supports all common scripting languages, including ASP and PHP. I went resonance to the data mart and I am very happy, but I recommend that u simply switch to one that supports ASP and PHP and uses the BAR Control Panel

    I managed to solve the problem of deployment by modifying the deployment under the Application properties configuration:

    1. unselect Auto Generate and Synchronize weblogic - jdbc.xml deployment descriptors

    2 deselect the credentials under Security Deployment Options

    3 deselect users and groups under deployment and Security Options

    I think auto generation of weblogic deployment descriptor - jdbc.xml was most probably the origin of the problem.

    Thank you.

  • Post adjustment Application items in the apex.server.process for a * process application *.

    We were spending the entirety of our method of apex.server.process htmldb_get request the favorite (and documented and supported!). It has worked well so far for the AJAX JavaScript process call, as long as the process of AJAX in question was one * Page * level process. However, when we try to eat a * application * process, it just doesn't seem to work.

    For the examples below, we have two elements of Application named PRS_PRODUCT_PROFILE_ID and PRS_PROFILE_OPERATION. We have a process to request on request (* not * a process page!) named MAINTAIN_PRODUCT_PROFILE_2.

    Here are the previous htmldb_get approach (which works fine):

    function resynchronizeProductProfile (productProfileID)

    {

    var profileOperation = 'EDIT_PROFILE ';

    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get (null, $v ('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS is MAINTAIN_PRODUCT_PROFILE_2', 0);

    ajaxRequest.add ("PRS_PRODUCT_PROFILE_ID", productProfileID);

    ajaxRequest.add ("PRS_PROFILE_OPERATION", profileOperation);

    var resynchronizeResult = ajaxRequest.get ();

    ajaxRequest = null;

    Return resynchronizeResult;

    }

    Here's the (what I think is the) same call using the new approach of apex.server.process:

    function resynchronizeProductProfile (productProfileID)

    {

    var resynchronizeResult;

    $s ("PRS_PRODUCT_PROFILE_ID", productProfileID);

    $s ('PRS_PROFILE_OPERATION', 'EDIT_PROFILE');

    Apex. Server.Process ("MAINTAIN_PRODUCT_PROFILE_2"

    , {pageItems: ' #PRS_PRODUCT_PROFILE_ID, #PRS_PROFILE_OPERATION '}

    , {dataType: "text"}

    Async: false,

    complete: function (ajaxResponse)

    {

    var resynchronizeResult = ajaxResponse.responseText;

    }

    });

    Return resynchronizeResult;

    }

    However, in the new version, arguments don't appear to be preparing when the MAINTAIN_PRODUCT_PROFILE_2 application process is called. PRS_PROFILE_OPERATION, for example, is on "even if above, you can see that it is, in fact, pre-programmed on 'EDIT_PROFILE '.

    As a general rule, the call to apex.server.process sets the item values in the page and in the session in a single step. This doesn't seem to be the case with elements of the Application (although it works very well for the items on the Page).

    What's up with that? Everyone see my mistake?

    Thank you

    -Joe

    Joe,

    Using the pictures I showed you can simply use your application objects in the process. This is exactly the same as what htmldb_Get: when you use. add(), you provide a key pair / value that will be added to the respective tables, it is just behind the scenes. By manually adding to the table with apex.server.process, you get the same exact behavior and apex define elements of page/application corresponding to the value in the table of p_arg_names with the value in the p_arg_values table.

    When test you it in your demo application by assigning the value of the page element, and then using the 4 button (point), you can see that the question of the application session state has changed by inspecting the session state of the elements of the application through "session" in the developer toolbar. (it's in the "apex of ajax samples - forum" app)

    Of course, you can use the scalar parameters x # to provide values for the process, but why would you do the extra arch? If the elements of the application would set the restrictions, you still get the same result as if they were not, and they are easily manipulated through the same ajax call. I added an extra button with an ajax call using x 01. I never had problems with the help of the scalar parameters.
