Application server and integration server

Hello

What is the difference between the application server and integration server?

That make the latter two are used?

Application server connects the engine to opmn. This allows to integrate the code base of the application server. Integration server is just the web server. It also uses the connection to the server application as though it must be configured first.

see you soon

    I'm looking for in the WebCenter portal at the moment and I tried to get the Mail Service works with my GMail account.
    To do this, an SSL connection must be made for GMail IMAP and SMTP servers.

    However, I kept running in "SunCertPathBuilderException: could not find the path of valid certification to requested target 'exceptions, which indicates that an SSL certificate has been received which was unknown to the application running on the integrated WebLogic Server."
    Certificates for GMail are apparently not present in DemoTrust.jks of the integrated WebLogic, but they were certainly in my JRE cacerts file. For some reason, it seems that, even if default WLS is configured to use the DemoTrust.jks, he found no certificates in my cacerts file. Even when I changed in the administration Console to use no key file at all or a new custom key file, the question came back.

    A way around that is described in this blog: http://soadev.blogspot.com/2010/10/using-gmail-as-mail-server-for-oracle.html
    However, I could not seem to get rid of the option

    -Djavax.NET.SSL.trustStore=C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\DemoTrust.jks

    in JAVA_OPTIONS, simply because it isn't in the setDomainEnv.cmd file in my directory area!
    In fact, when I add echo % JAVA_OPTIONS % at the beginning, I can see that before running setDomainEnv.cmd, it is already set to:

    -Djavax.NET.SSL.trustStore=C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\DemoTrust.jks-Doracle.adfm.usemds=true-Dweblogic.nodemanager.ServiceEnabled=true

    Is there a way to tell JDeveloper to get rid of the trustStore DemoTrust.jks? The only way I found was through the project properties-> Java EE Application--> command-line integrated WLS and withdrawal of the forest of {java.options} it altogether, but I want to be able to use other Java options. A solution would be to add the required certificates for the trustStore DemoTrust as well.

    JDeveloper version: JDEVADF_11.1.1.4.0_GENERIC_101227.1736.5923, with the WebCenter extensions.

    Ah, I found whence this option.
    The key file can be configured via preferences-> credentials. Here comes this setting.

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E17904_01/WebCenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_svc_intro.htm#BABHBDEI

    However, the DemoTrust.jks still does not add default cacerts certificates.

  • Application of flow through Webgate and web application server

    I have a scenarios,

    There are two webgates on both web servers configured as a reverse proxy to an application. The doors of two web use external load balancer 1 (material). Two web portals are registered on two servers OAM (load balancing - logical web application server). The application is protected by OAM, and is set to launch a custom login page. The application web servers also use external load balancer 2.

    First, when the user tries to access the URL of the application, the flow would be:

    LoadBalancer1 - Web server with OAM WebGate - WebServer with WebGate (after successful authentication) - LoadBalancer2 (lettering) - server of web App - homepage

    Now, what happens if the user goes to another link within the app? The user will be routed to the loadbalancer 2 to the Web server with load balancer WebGate GOLD 2 to 1 load balancer, then to the Web server with WebGate. Please note that the web server with WebGate is configured as reverse proxy for the application. Sorry if I'm not able to articulate the situation clearly.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Allows to call the application URL app.mydomain.com. With the components you mentioned above, generally that would make a DNS change to point app.mydomain.com to 'loadbalancer1 '.

    Say so the user has already been authenticated and authorized and on the page of the application (app.mydomain.com/home.jsp). OAM is usually configured to protect web pages within an application. When the user clicks on 'Préférences' inside of home.jsp which is "app.mydomain.com/preferences.jsp", control would again go to loadbalancer1-> of the webgates.

    Hope that answers your question.

  • Application server and jQuery

    The application server DPS has a web server such as apache running? I'm working on a solution to search for jQuery and jQuery must run on a server to find HTML files even if they are in the local file tree. I'm trying not to have to convert my Indesign layouts to the text of a json file. I'd rather export to HTML format.

    DPS is available you can run arbitrary HTML servers. If you want to write something in HTML/javascript/jquery for your folios, you host it yourself.

  • Oracle Weblogic server and Oracle Application Server

    The Bea weblogic and Oracle application server have been combined in a product-viz Oracle Weblogic server.

    Please clarify - because Oracle Application Server is always available as a separate offering

    Thank you

    Yes, since version 10.3.4 the product called Weblogic Server provides the two "BEA WLS' and 'Oracle AS' characteristics (namely, support for forms and reports, ADF, etc..)

    Existing customers of Oracle ACEs can move to Weblogic Server to get its benefits (for example, JRockIt JVM). For the new Oracle AS it is no longer available.

    BTW. This is not a good forum for this kind of questions. You must use these: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=193

  • Difference between oracle and Oracle Application Server Developer's costume?

    Hi all

    If someone please tell me the main difference between the costume of developer and Oracle Application Server.

    I will be very thank ful.

    Thank you

    Hina.

    You would need an application to host the application, but each user could access this application using a browser. So the obligation for each user is simply a browser with an appropriate Sun JRE installed - this JRE (if not already installed) can be configured to be automatically downloaded and installed on the client from the application server.

  • mechanism between DB and application server

    Hello

    Currently I have installed R12.1.3 ebs and DB under 11.1.0.7 upgrade to 11.2.0.2.
    When upgrading the database server, I have a question how application server detects the database server.
    The question may seem a little silly, but that's how it is. :)
    For example, when DB is upgraded, upgrade, configuration and post activities are explained on side DB in the documents.
    But then, how the database server to find application after the installation of new DB?
    It works based on the updated file listener only...?
    Or is there a configuration that must be done application server side as well after the DB is upgraded?

    Can someone help with my questions...?

    Thank you

    Hello
    > It works based on the updated file listener only...?
    Definitely, it will use the earpiece to connect with the db.

    During the upgrade, you create appsutl.zip and copy this to the level of the database and run the automatic configuration service. It's that time where the link is established.

  • Oracle 11G and application server installed on the same server

    What are the advantages and disadvantages installation of Oracle 11 G database and Oracle (forms and reports) application server on the same server?

    Thank you in advance, Sonya

    Some people might want their data in an area of separate network for security reasons.
    It also depends on if it is the same people who do maintenance on db and appserver.

    It is at a lower cost with a single server and only 1 Os to implement.

  • Application server and webutil.

    Hi all

    I installed 10g R2 sever Application successfully, but when I went to set up the
    webutil so I have not found the webutil folder and I'm surprised how would it?
    Because as a 10 g R2 the webutil is already installed.
    can someone tell me what will be the reason?

    Hi Daniel,.

    AS 10g R2, has no webutil by default, we set it up outside... Please give me your mail address.will send you the file... its just 2 MB of the file and then just follow the 10 steps below...

    1. create the directory webutil in ORACLE_HOME/forms

    2. transfer in binary mode, the following files in the directory
    $ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil

    d2kwut60.dll

    Jacob.dll

    JNIsharedstubs.dll

    3. the following alias has been created in the ORACLE_HOME/forms/server/forms.conf file:

    AliasMatch ^ / forms/webutil / (. *) "ORACLCE_HOME/forms/webutil / $1.

    4. the file webutil.cfg has been created in the ORACLE_HOME/Forms/Server and it is
    resembling:

    Logging.file =

    Logging.Enabled = False

    Logging.ErrorsOnly = false

    Logging.Connections = false

    install.syslib.Location=/webutil

    install.syslib.0.7.1 = Jacob.dll | 94208 | 1.0: true

    install.syslib.0.9.1 = JNIsharedstubs.dll | 65582 | 1.0: true

    install.syslib.0.9.2 = d2kwut60.dll | 192512 | 1.0: true

    5 copy/sign the files in the following ORACLE_HOME/forms/java jar directory:

    Jacob.jar, frmwebutil.jar

    6. If you already have a pattern in your RDBMS which contains the stored WebUtil
    code,

    You can skip this step. If not take a look on note: 333385.1
    step 4

    7. copy from webutil_106\java to ORACLE_HOME/forms/java the following two
    JavaScript files:

    forms_base_ie.js

    forms_ie.js

    8. transfer in binary mode, the following files:

    webutil.olb

    webutil. PLL

    WU_TEST_106.FMB

    in the ORACLE_HOME/forms directory

    9 transfer the following files:

    webutilbase.htm

    webutiljini.htm

    webutiljpi.htm

    in the ORACLE_HOME/Forms/Server directory

    10. in formsweb.cfg create the following configuration section

    [webutil]

    WebUtilArchive = frmwebutil.jar, jacob.jar

    WebUtilLogging = off

    WebUtilLoggingDetail = normal

    WebUtilErrorMode = alert

    WebUtilDispatchMonitorInterval = 5

    WebUtilTrustInternal = true

    WebUtilMaxTransferSize = 16384

    baseHTMLjinitiator = webutiljini.htm

    baseHTMLjpi = webutiljpi.htm

    baseHTML = webutilbase.htm

  • Discoverer and application server 10g R2.

    Hi all.

    I installed the application server with the discoverer, but I found no dicoverer it
    It is nothing else but a batch file.
    Please guide me what should I do?

    Hello
    Do you have what version of the application server installed? Not only 10g but you install 10.1.2.0.0 and 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3, patch or have you installed a different version of basic?

    Discoverer 10 g R2 will be available if you use the application 10.1.2.0.0 Server and then patch 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3. If you have installed a different version of the application server you won't have the engine installed discoverer.

    To test simply launch a browser and call the URL for the home page of the server like this: http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778

    If the discoverer is installed you will see links to launch more Discoverer and Discoverer Viewer. You can also try to call direct using Discoverer: discoverer/more/http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778 or http://yourserver.yourdomain:7778/discoverer Viewer

    Another way to see if the discoverer components are installed is to locate the root for the ORACLE_HOME in which the application server has been installed. From there, if you have discoverer, you will see an ORACLE_HOME\discoverer with Sub-folders folder of config, deploy, lib, newspapers, mesg, doc, plus_files, secure and util.

    In addition, if you browse here: ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications you should see a folder called discoverer

    If you can't find the files above, you have installed an application server which does not support the discoverer. You will need to uninstall it and then install 10.1.2.0.0 and it patch. You can also find this post on my blog to be useful: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2008/04/most-useful-patch-numbers.html

  • How to separate the application server and web server on the level of physical servers?

    I want to separate the application server and web server: locate on different hosts. Generally, we use Weblogic ACE. In the future maybe use Apache Tomcat as web server.
    Example,
    192.168.1.10 - as - Weblogic application server / module EJB
    192.168.1.11 - as a Web server - Weblogic / WEB module (can be - Apache Tomcat)

    Impossible to find examples and resources about it on google.
    Thank you.

    So, if we're looking for a subject such as:

    try {
        someEJB = context.lookup("ejb/Videotheek#model.logic.Videotheek");
    } catch (NamingException e) {
        e.printStackTrace();
    }

    If the EJB application is clustered in an object of type ' ClusterableRemoteRef (-4005477377232786958S: 172.31.0.107: [7003,7003,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]: [8351443287261246917S:172.31.0.107:[7002,7002,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:ScriptDomain:VideotheekServer1/292])/289 172.31.0.107:ScriptDomain:VideotheekServer2 - 4005477377232786958S:172.31.0.107:[7003,7003,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:172.31.0.107:ScriptDomain:VideotheekServer2/289,-' is returned, which is part of the wlfullclient.jar.)

    You can try using the EJB or the annotation of the resource (do not know with certainty if Tomcat is favorable). For annotations work, you must use version servlet 2.5 or later. JNDI research work in a general such as for example Tomcat servlet container.
