  Typically, the upgrade should take less than an hour. Can you please check that:

  1. the device is suspended (CLI command: suspend)

  2. the update interval is increased from 5 minutes to 60 minutes (GUI: Security-> Service updates)

  3 proxy Server in your network do not intercept the upgrade

  Especially the upgrade process get stuck or aborted due to load on the device problems or because of network connectivity issues.

  If the advice above does not help, please do not hesitate to trigger a service request with the support team.

  I have not seen something official, but I have investigated this area extensively and have every reason to think that the local storage will be preserved as the app is not actually uninstalled.  An upgrade should preserve all that content.  I would consider another thing to be a serious bug and really I'm sure that they choose to do it this way.  For all that is worth...

  My mac is a mid-2008 24 "with the latest OS (El Capitan) and everything works as it should and I have a lot of design/photography is installed. Someone has an idea of what to do here? It's very frustrating.

  Force quit Adobe all processes as creative cloud, CoreSync, AAMUpdater related... activity monitor.

  (1) right click on the Finder icon and select 'Go - To Folder' option.
