Hello
I can't update the audio driver on my PC. When you try to install the driver (new sound card), I get the following message is displayed:
There was a problem installing this hardware:
An error occurred during the installation of the device
"The IO operation has been abandoned due to a thread exit or an application request."
The driver worked fine on this computer until a month ago. I think it's more a problem of Windows installation as a driver issue, but I do not know where to go from here. Any suggestions?
Thank you

After reading about the history of critical Flash Player update 23 patch flaws | PCWorld , I followed the link on the page update the version on my laptop at the 19.0.0.185.
Before that I did I ran a scan antivirus to my laptop, using the Kaspersky Security Total program, showing that the already installed version of flash player is a vulnerable program that needed to be updated. Then I uninstalled the current version and tried to upgrade to the new version 19.0.0.185.
When I tried to install the update, I saw the message "Application initialization error." I tried this update several times with the same result.
My laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 SP1 Build 7601, Internet Explorer 11 with Kaspersky Total Security 2015 (15.0.2.361).
Please can someone help me to get this issue resolved because I want to try to get this installed update as soon as possible.
Hi stewartb1985,
I would get the Installer log file of your part online for further investigation. Follow these steps:
- Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\
\AppData\Local\Temp\ - Create a file named ADM.trace empty text (right-click in an empty area and select new > text Document and name it ADM.trace).
- Note: Make sure that the file extensions are visible so that the extension is .trace and not .txt. See show or hide Windows Help - file name extensions
- Rerun Online Setup until it returns the error
- In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Users\
\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs - Download the two files, Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log, by following the instructions that the specified item was not found.
- Post the link to the files downloaded in your response.
Can Kaspersky interferes with the update. Can you try disabling Kaspersky and Setup? Please do after getting the log files.
If you continue to receive the error with disabled Kaspersky, please try the installer in offline mode, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the section "problems".
Please provide the log file because it will help determine why the error is returned.
Thank you.

Hello myducks,
To answer your question about the SFC command, follow these steps:
First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.
Click Start
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:SFC/scannow
This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.
Then restart your system.
Please see the article (KB) knowledge base if you find corrupted files:
Article 929833 - how to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7If you were able to successfully run the SFC, then run chkdsk:
1 disable any security software before you attempt to upgrade or do a clean install.
2. make sure that your computer is updated (devices and applications)
3. disconnect all external devices before installing.
4. check your hard disk for errors:
Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r
When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.In this forum, we are unable to connect to your computer remotely to help solve your problem. However, if you feel you need more support, you may want to open a business of pension paid with Microsoft. I will include the support options below, so you can choose yourself.

remains frozen and finally claims iTunes has been installed properly. Open iTunes generates an error indicating that Apple application support is not installed (Apple application support for mobile device support/Apple are not on the computer). (Software update Apple Hello and Quicktime are there).
I uninstalled programs that is fine, but try anything I can get itunes working. I tried to install itunes 8.0, running on a different administrator, as an administrator user, stopping all programs from running and installation in offline. I've read that it could be a problem with Microsoft Visual C++ 2005. My computer shows redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x 86 9.0.21022.218 on this subject.I tried to install the

This is the 1935 error once again, the installation of Norton Ghost Windows 7 64 bit
Hi, I say 'yet' because it's a frequently asked question, unfortunately with no viable solutions.
I installed Norton Ghost 15 on this machine 3 years ago. No problems. Today, when you pull up the ghost, she suddenly want to run the MSI installer for some reason any and then complains about something. Unfortunately I got a copy of the error. I just uninstalled completely, using the Symantec removal tool.
When you try to install Norton Ghost again, I get this:
I unchecked .net framework 3.5 in Windows features, rebooted, checked again and rebooted. I installed Microsoft C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable. This I did because another post suggested to do this.
I also activated the journal feature detailed in the Windows installation program and get a huge file full of data, which tell me what I can use. Yes, something went wrong shot, but in this (these) file (s) there is no special section that stands out in a way that tells me that what in fact was wrong.
Now, is say, not possible to obtain information in plain language? Saying that the Assembly is absent, this file is missing and so on. Because obviously something is not here that should be there, who were 3 years ago, when Norton Ghost installation went flawless.
Or is it something else? "An error occurred during the installation of assembly component", which component? And what is normally the cause of this problem, which will normally not when an assembly component cannot be installed?
My question basically goes like this:How can I know what is the real error? Assembly that is missing, have what is missing? The blind approach isn't trying for me, there must be a scientific way of this approach!
Any help appreciated!
-Ingvar
OK, I found the solution:
Big - just install Ghost until the error message. Do NOT click OK, instead, use task or much better, Manager procedure such as SysInternals Monitor to kill all processes of msi windows installer and everything that has nothing to do with Norton.
Ghost 15 is now installed and you can register and use it.
Problem is, there is a current cancellation, who will run the next time you want to install (all) application.
Delete these registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\InProgress\Rollback
Now, everything should be good, at least it looks so here!

BlackBerry World: "application setup error".
I made a simple program called "Custom dice. When I launch from the NDK BlackBerry on my Dev Alpha, it works fine. However, when I try to install my application on BlackBerry World, I get this rather vague error message: "application setup error". Is attached a screenshot of this error. I have absolutely no idea what could cause this error. Someone has any advice how to solve this problem, what I could do to find the cause of this error? Thank you!
I can confirm that the application now installs fine. What gives some help apparently contributed time
