It is not rwrun60, which is the client/server command. I think in 6i is rwmts60. Better yet, run it on the command line:

  • PATCH ARABIC on 11i

    Hello
We have an existing Oracle 11i Applications and I have to install the patch ARABIC nls on it. So I'm following Document Oracle Applications NLS Release Notes, version 11i (11.5.10.2) [316804.1 ID]. I have two concerns about this.

    (1) we have this instance that runs for more than 3 months and apply many English patches. So first I would apply patch NLS and then all other ARABS patches for patches matching [if any]. Is this Correct?

2). in the doc 316804.1 in section 4: item 3: it says create a nls11i10 directory and complete the fix using adcrptop.sh. This step must?

    (3) should I apply u11510nls.drv or u11510upgnls.drv. My case has been installed 11.5.10.2 fresh and 3 years. So should I go for u11510nls.drv?

  • How the classification of versioning and patch Oracle 11i did.

    Hi Hussein.

Sometimes, I see there are updates for Oracle 11i and mini/family/ORS patches are released. How these patches are classified. What's the point also releases average figures. For example 11.5.10.2.x.x for 5, 10, 2 and x.
and any time a product includes names such as 11i. GSS. E.1.

Please can you me to any ML Doc or URL so that I can ask for the conventions of patching.

    1. not a correct way to apply the patch

    2. you must stop your database - instance. Since patch applies it would execute a re-release of links (as the binaries are access it would apply)

Look in your current patch its not needed

Skip [7 December 2015 02:07:01] patch 19504744 list of patches to apply: this patch is not necessary. (if you can't find the question)

Please refer to the documentation opatch 12 c, atleast see the patch readme.txt (Please spend some time this basic thing every DBA should do - do not jump).

    Update:

Check the environment and performing preliminary controls...

Jump list of patches to apply 19504744 patch : this patch is not necessary.

  • cloning oracle 11i on windows applications

    Hello
I have clone oracle 11i with db version 10 g (10.2.0.1) applications under windows. Is there something different AIX or LINUX compared to WINDOWS. Y at - it any good method to copy the files to the production server to clone the server. Any consideration, I have to take.

    Please advice

    Concerning
    Taher

    Hi taher;

That is how long it takes to copy. I know it depends on network resources and resources H/W. I want to estiamate how long it takes to copy. Please if you can get a rough idea, I could say so, how much time I need.

You are right, but if you need example, for 90 GB it takes aprox. 1.5 hours on our server. But as you do it depends on a lot of things so it's difficult to compare... But like I said start copying APPL_TOP and COMMON_TOP next to the apps... Normally I follow these steps:

    1. first I copy the file ORACLE_HOME and dbf source to the target
    2. I started APPL_TOP copy simultaneously
3 Dbside copy is complete earlier then APPL_TOP thatswhy I have the chance to start dbtier clone post. Meanwhile, I'm starting to COMMON_TOP in these steps
    4. While COMMON and APPL is made I copy other folders
    5. start clone post to appstier

I hope she gives u idea and might be useful for your question

Where can I find the list of all patches that should be applied to EBS 11i, and

See Note: 123456,1 - latest Applications 11i recommended list of patches
    https://metalink2.Oracle.com/MetaLink/PLSQL/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=not&P_ID=123456.1

How to reconcile it with the release of the following...

You can use patch AD Merge to merge patches and reduce maintenance downtime.

  • Online Enablement Patching patch Failed 13543062 with applications. AD_ZD_PREP contains errors

    Hi people,

We have recently updated our application 12.2.0 of 12.1.3. Everything was fine. Application also works smoothly. Now, we are working on enablement patch online using Oracle EBS - Réf.-E48839-02, Chapter 4. When applying patch 13543062: R12. AD. C, after all the pre-reqs tasks that we face worker failed on the first steps. After reviewing the logfile worker, we try to compile the requested package body but it returns:

    ERROR on line 1:

ORA-04063: package body "APPS. AD_ZD_PREP"contains errors

ORA-06508: PL/SQL: called program unit is not found: 'APPS. AD_ZD_PREP ".

    ORA-06512: at line 3 level

    Kind regards

    Ali

Thanks for your reply. The problem has been resolved by the following plan of action.

    1. check if the RDBMS 17502060 patch has been applied to the database.

    2. If the hotfix has been applied, then run the script:

SQL > sqlplus / as sysdba

    17502060/files/sqlpatch/17502060/postinstall. This patch SQL.

    3 run ADGRANTS

SQL > sqlplus / as sysdba

    SQL > @$APPL_TOP/admin/adgrants.sql APPS

    4. Finally, to compile the package body

    SQL > conn apps/apps

    SQL > alter the body of package AD_ZD_PREP compilation;
