Hello

Confirm if the OS is Windows?

If Yes, then we have a known problem.

Cause:
====
On the ports of Unix, we use post_deploy.sh that explicitly defines EMDROOT. This is not the case in post_deploy.bat

Is discussed in the following bug:
Bug 16061278: POST_DEPLOY of RACE. BAT FOR PATCH 14833587 FAILS WITH a NOCLASSDEFFOUNDERROR

Workaround solution:
========
As a work around, follow the steps below:

1 set the EMDROOT variable manually:
Set EMDROOT = $ORACLE_HOME

2. run the post script: post_deploy.bat

Now, this operation fails with the following error:
C:\Oracle\oem\oms\14833587>post_deploy

Post SGD automation deployment script [Version: 11.1.0.9.5, Build date: February 5, 2012]
________________________________________________________________________________
_______

Enter the location of the Patch: C:\Oracle\oem\oms\14833587\
Please enter the SYSMAN password:
********
****

The script will run the following commands:
applypatch rest - patchHome C:\Oracle\oem\oms\14833587\ c:\oracle\oem\oms\bin\emctl
Please check logfile "C:\Oracle\oem\oms\14833587\log\2013-01-18-14-32-07.log"...
The system does not have the specified path.
The script has failed to complete due to failure of the command. Please check the log file for err

3. now the above error, choose the command that it runs in-house and run it manually:
applypatch rest - patchHome Patch Location\14833587\ \bin\emctl

Now the application of the fix is complete.

Thank you
Vincent

    Sinan,

I guess I'm not sure if families and patchsets packs can be substitutes for each other.

Sorry, but I'm really confused with your answers.

You're talking about what a family pack?

    What patchsets you speak?

For both, please mention the name of patch and number.

Is there a document MOS you can direct me to learn more about these two types of patches?

    See the links following/documents.

Note: the 457566,1 - patch FAQ for version 11i Oracle Applications
Note: the 459156,1 - patch FAQ for release 12 Oracle Applications
Note: the 174436,1 - patch FAQ Oracle Applications

    Maintain all Documentation Oracle Applications
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html

Products and families and Versions - Oh, my!
    http://blogs.Oracle.com/stevenChan/2009/04/products_and_families_and_vers.html

And finally, I will then need to apply all the packs families and patchsets listed as two sections in the report above (completely at the top)?

Depends, you can find some of the patchsets included in family packs and in this case, you do not have to apply it-when you find the number of patch via MOS, it must list all patches which include this fix.

    Thank you

-He will invite me to restore all these fixes when I run a command 'opatch apply?

Yes, it will give an option with if you want to proceed with the installation

-l' used it allows me to go away until and unless I get an amalgamation patch/remove these hotfixes manually?

No it will allow you to move forward. You can install the overlay patches after you got their Oracle for this power supply

I also checked the conflict patch 8635272 is available for 11.1.0.7.4 on your platform, while the other 2 conflicts are not available. I suggest you to raise a SR with Oracle's Support so that he can ask the overlay for other patches 2 conflicts

  • Measures to apply the patch...

    Hello
I found the steps required for the application of a fix on page 3-2 on doc called "Procedures of Maintenance Oracle Applications".
During step 7: 'Reply to the AutoPatch guests', the system asks the ORACLE user password. This is the password of the system.. db user account ???

Do I have to run the autoconfig after each patch application, once after you have applied the last of them, or if the Readme of a patch committed to do so... or...?

    Note: I use EBS 11.5.10.2

    Thank you
    SIM

    SIM,

Ah... that's why the paragraph "Test a Patch before It application" page 3-5 (the doc I referred in my previous post) it is written:
".... In test mode, AutoPatch reads and validates the patch file of the driver, bed product file
driver files, object modules from the libraries of product (for version checking),
performs version checking, * and runs the automatic configuration (in test mode) service *. »

Test mode means that use you 'option = no', it is useful if you want to know exactly what a fix will do before applying the patch.

    https://metalink2.Oracle.com/MetaLink/PLSQL/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=not&P_ID=181665.1

Except for the notes written on this doc, is there something else that I should be careful because I'm going to do my first patch and I do not want to miss...

Just make sure you take a backup and follow the steps in the Readme of the fix.

See the following thread, it may be useful.

Hello guys, I have a bit of a situation with the terminology of patch. My manager came to me and told me that we needed to know which patches to apply, and after that, we had to go to metalink and know what patches are available for our systems.

so first of all off, I logged into a knot, went to $ORACLE_HOME/Opatch/and of the fact the next "lsinventory opatch" and obtained the following information.

Now my question is, how to, I use the following information to find out what other patches to apply?

You run 11.2.0.2 the current level of patches (latest version) group is 11.2.0.4, which requires an 'out-of-place' upgrade - i.e. by installing 11.2.0.4 in another ORACLE_HOME and then by running catupgrd.

However, before you do this, you should be upgrading your Infrastructure of grid (to 11.2.0.4)

Since an upgrade of 11.2.0.2 11.2.0.4 is important, you should test your applications against 11.2.0.4 in a first test environment.

See notes for Support of Oracle

11.2.0.4 patch Set - availability and known issues (Doc ID 1562139.1)

    and

Changes important related to Patch Oracle database sets starting with 11.2.0.2 (Doc ID 1189783.1)

    CPUs are documented here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alerts-086861.html

The last CPU, for the version October 2013, is the last CPU for 11.2.0.2 [note see Oracle Support "Patch Set update and Critical Patch Update October 2013 availability Document (Doc ID 1571391.1)"].  The subsequent processors will be available for 11.2.0.3 and 11.2.0.4

Some customers, to be safe, do not apply the latest patch "until it has stabilized.  They can choose to be a lower than the last patch level.  For example, to be on the 11.2.0.3 and the CPU of July 2013.  Your organization must have a Patch management policy that drives decisions on correction.

  • The database connection failed while creating DataSource in Hyperion planning.

    Hi all

I installed it and configured Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4 and also apply the planning Patch 20937926 (Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4.002) successfully.  When I'm creating the Source of data for planning its getting failed with reason "the connection failed" here is the screenshot of the same thing.

Can someone help me how to solve this problem.

    Kind regards

    VJ

If it is an Oracle database, you connect to so be, you must enable the custom URL and change the url to server connection: port: sid to the server: port / servicename

Also you can get better Planning_WebApp.log that is located in the directory the plannning managed server logs the log information.

    See you soon

  • Apply the hotfix using ADOPTION in R12.2.4

    Hi all

    EBS R12.2.4

    OEL 6.5

    11 GR 2

The consultant encoutered issue in the setup and asked me to apply the p18955265_R12 patch. HZ. C_R12_GENERIC.

I want to apply this fix by using "adoption." I understand that in R12.2.4, you can not apply a patch using adpatch? but only adopt?

Patch adoption cycles mentioned the following:

    Phases:

adoption phase = prepare-> copy the code of the application

adoption phase =-> apply patch in PATCH environment

adoption phase = finalize-> makes it ready for the failover system

adoption phase = failover-> bounce the transition to the system of system files and. FS2 becomes runtime environment.

adoption phase = cleaning-> withdrawal of obsolete objects.

adoption phase = fs_clone-> synchronize file systems

Do I have to perform the steps above to apply the p18955265_R12 hotfix. HZ. C_R12_GENERIC?

Thanks a lot for your kind cooperation.

    MK

    MariaKarpa (MK) wrote:

    Thanks hussein,.

I think that these phases are carried out in complete sequence if you apply major patches as 12.2.2 12.2.3 and 12.2.4?

Well, these phases are applicable to the 12.2.x

    Thank you

  • Apply the hotfix 16000686 on 12.1.3

    EBS R12 version 12.1.3

OS Linux 64 bit (OEL 5.9)

    Hello

Can someone please check if the procedure for the application of the fix 16000686 on R12 below, installation is correct?

I am a beginner in this area.

    1. connect as applmgr

    2 export approx. variables

    . APPS-server - dbname.env

    3. allow the maintenance

    $adadmin defaultsfile=$APPL_TOP/admin/EBS64/adalldefaults.txt logfile = adadmin.log menu_option = worker ENABLE_MAINT_MODE = 4

    4. stop all application processes.   SH adstpall.sh

    5. apply the 16000686 patch

    $ defaultsfile=$APPL_TOP/admin/$TWO_TASK/adalldefaults.txt = u16000686.log patchtop = logfile adpatch / u01/patches/16000686 driver = worker u16000686.drv = 8

When patches/u01/16000686 is the directory where this patch is decompressed.

    6 thin oracle.apps.per.DataInstall < UN > < pw > java < host: port: sid >

    DataInstall main menu

    1. Select legislative data to install/upgrade

    2. Select data from college to install/upgrade

    3. select JIT/geocode or OTL to install/upgrade

    4. exit confirmation menu

    Enter your choice: 1

Apply for Global and the United States.

    7 adpatch driver=$PER_TOP/patch/115/driver/hrglobal.drv logfile = hrglobal.drv.log options = /hotpatch

    8 disable maintenance.

    9 start level app.

    SH adstrtal.sh apps/apps

Your steps look great - I would spend 3 and 4 (i.e. stop all application services before enabling maintenance mode)

PL has also see MOS Docs 1549442.1 and 1538636.1 before applying the patch. As always, you would have had to apply these patches and followed the same exact process on a test system which was a clone of the production, before applying it on the production.

  • Loss of HDV support after the latest patches to Adobe...

Recently, I applied the latest patches that have been released for AE, organization and a few other applications in the master suite and after that the patches have been applied I lost the abilty to edit HDV in the body and EI.  In the body, it in fact grayed out option to turn off the product, which makes it appear like it has disabled somehow my product, but in AE the deactivate option is always there. I read to you run the trial HDV version is not supported, so I think it somehow disabled my products.  Anyone facing this problem?

    Skeeze:

Your problem may be related to this issue, mentioned in the blog of Todd Kopriva, Region of interest.

If you have downloaded the trial after effects 9.0, and then updated to After Effects 9.0.1 and then activated the application with a serial number after purchasing a license (all in exactly in that order), then the After Effects 9.0.2 update will fail to update your content to third parties, such as the Cycore (CC) effect plug-ins. It seems that uninstalling the third-party content and then restarting the application will cause third party content updated to install correctly.

Please note that the support for HDV, AVCHD and other formarts based on MPEG relies on technology under licensed by third-party, and which are installed as part of the package of third-party content developers. So I would definitely start by trying this.

  • emctl does not start after the latest patch

After you apply the latest patch of the database, 9169460, on our 10.2.0.4.0 databases, the dbconsole does not start through Services or manally on the command line. Is the error when you try to emctl start dbconsole or emctl status dbconsole
