  I had the same problem when I first tried to synchronize. The problem for me was when the BlackBerry Desktop Software has updated to Version 6, it left the old version - Version 5 - on my computer. If you go into the Control Panel on your computer and uninstall the Version 5 and try to re-synchronization, it should work!

  I can't get my phone to work due to the error message.  This is a brand new SIM card and should work.  I used a similar card a year ago for a blanket to Costa Rica, and it worked fine.  I took the battery and SIM card many times but also tried to disable the wifi but no luck.

  BTW - have confirmed that this specific BB is even compatible with the network of ice?   I just put the media chip in my 8830.  When I set my camera on my computer and click on the Media icon I get the same error message.  Here it is... Error running c:\programfiles\Roxio\Media nursery 9\MediaManager9.exe.  The application requested execution to terminate in an unusual way.  When I click OK the next message says... R6025-pure virtual function call.  Can someone point me in the right direction.  Oh, I was told that the media card is correctly placed and that it is formatted.  Thank you!

  With regard to the Desktop Manager to crash, I would try two things

  1. Delete the intellisync folder, and then try to synchronize again - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11703

  No, they are not saved anywhere.  If you want to record a conversation, you can (while IN the convo), click the wheel/Menu button and click Copy history.  Then, you will also need to paste it somewhere (like an e-mail or a note of memo pad).

  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  See if it works now? Often, a traction battery restart will fix 95% of gltiches like that.

  Problem is now solved. RIM and T-Mobile have worked together to create a directory of services for instant messaging programs that are used on the 8800.  So now anyone with a 8800 on T-Mobile's network can enjoy everything what they pay for.
