  I get a blue screen of death after installing the recommended MS hotfix KB2670838 and using Internet EXPLORER 9. I stopped the problem by uninstalling the patch.   Installed versions (x 86 & x 64) running on my computer are 10.0.3.40219.  It seems that the package installer on HP support site cannot handle a newer version of the execution. I presume that the reason for the new version on my computer is software that relies on the SP1 version, so downgraded to the old version would just move the problem even if it gets the driver AMD installed package.

  Anyone else seeing this? HP updates the installation package? Any ideas?

  I shot the most recent version of the C++ 2010 runtime that blocked the Softpaq installation, installation fact and re-updated C++ 2010 runtime to the current version. The Softpaq, Intel and AMD drivers updated to the latest versions (on the site of HP). Then I reinstalled the MS fix and were broadcast for 12 hours, with no more BSODs.Funny thing is that the Softpaq still gave me an error on installation (relating to execution C++ 2010) but this time continued and completed.

  I didn't want to steam. I'll look further and maintain the ITI in mind for future updates. It seems that HP is almost through with the software/firmware for the DV6s.

  It's my first attempt to create and install a bunch of Mac; We are mainly a Windows shop hear at our College. A Mac lab administrator has used this same package to install on the iMac in a student lab, and he succeeded with a key USB of Thunderbolt.

  We copied the folder Build and Exceptions on an external USB hard disk and then copied on a Mac Pro Mid 2010 with OS X 10.9.2.   This is how we solved. Used a disk 32 GB formatted Flash drive HFS + and then copied the files and file PKG brought you to the target Mac and copied the files and running the PKG and install Exceptions. Everything seems fine now.

  Why would install you software on your D drive or partition?

  Any program .exe must be installed where the operating system is which is the conventional way and supported way :)

  Personal folders may be located on other partitions, but programs are better installed where the operating system.
