  Firefox changes so quickly that the content of the books is soon outdated or even before their publication.
  Many changes occur in the user interface in each new version and what parameters are present and how they are labeled, online documentation is much easier to update than books tat would be confusing if they contain outdated information.

• 7 copy slides with Captivate advanced Actions

  Hello

  I have a number of slides that I want to copy and paste into a new project. Many of these slides can click to display the advanced type of interactions.  When I copy and paste slides in a new project, advanced interactions do not seem to copy.  Does anyone know how to copy and paste slides into a new project and interaction advanced so that I don't have to recreate the variables and interactions?   I tried the following Adobe Captivate help, but I lost.

  Try help > updates to see if you can get it installed from Captivate.  But if you don't have administrator privileges, then you will not be able to do.  Call an IT guy.

• Advanced action appears in a loop - 6 Captivate

  I have a HTML5 project that connects to another URL page on about 5 slides.  Jim was eough kind to inform me that there is a known issue on the binding of Captivate URLs that are not typed by hand. All URLS are typed by hand, and all the advanced actions are put in place so that on the last click fo the button, the blade should move on to the next, and the URL should open in a new tab (in that order).  This goes perfectly on the first series, but the second set does not advance the slide, he just opened the new window. If you return to the captivate window and click on the next button it respawns the new window, never to go to the next slide.  I deleted the project on my Web server, slides have to be recreated, rebuilt the action advanced, with no effect.  Anyone else running in all what simiilar?

  It is a bit of a show-stopper for me because I don't want to have just code a button - my hope was to make it run as a native application iPad, but if I can not take the chrome because users will have to navigate it is impossible.

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  The first thing I would suggest running a virus scan.  Make sure you have no virus causing problems.  If you do not have an antivirus program, then you can download it free here: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/

• Are there disadvantages to the use of the generic video driver?

  I have a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics card on my Dell Dimension 8300 Win XP home sp3. Last week my computer could not start gives me a blue screen saying problem with NV4_disp device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. Problem with the device or the driver. Check the update of the driver of the seller.
  (1) I changed monitors - same problem
  (2) I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Dell driver dated 2004 - same problem
  (3) I went to the Nvidia site and downloaded and installed the latest version of the driver dated 2008 - same problem

  I suspected this to be the case. No, all shares advanced/shared in Captivate are event-driven. The conditional action will never be executed. I have a lot of examples on my blog for this use case, but post-it (yet) in this thread. BTW: I understand German (I'm Flemish) but do not dare to write in German.

  In a conditional action, you can have several decisions, which are all executed in the order: orders are from top to bottom, are decisions from the left to the humble. You will need to integrate the standard and the conditional action in a conditional action to be triggered by the buttons. Now that you have only one decision (indicated as "Unnamed" and choice in your screenshot), this decision should be the second decision. You don't need to put anything in the ELSE part, but I still don't know the break of the buttons, reason why I asked for a screenshot of the timeline. Your conditional action should look like this (sorry for the English terminology).

  The decision to "Always" 1 I like to cite the decisions and everything in my projects

  IF 1 is equal to 1

  Assign the v_button1 with 1

  Disable Button1

  Hide Button1

  See the Group1

  No Else part for this decision, you must edit the double button 2

  I try to set a peak action where an effect is applied to several objects, and then it climbs to a slide. Is it possible to define the action to make the jump from slide happen after effects?

  I have created an example, but used CP8, there will be a small difference for you in CP7. Those are the steps:

  • Create a variable user corresponding to each image that will follow if that one is clicked, a Boolean value with the default value of 0, branded the v_one, v_two... v_four
  • as I suspect you return to this slide, you need to reset all Boolean values enter; can be done with a tip action that affects 1 to each of the variables and don't forget the Continue statement as well
  • Make sure that the continue button has no suspension, and that the boxes to click on a break at 1 second before the end of the slide (1 second is the default duration of change of scale 0, what is the zoom effect)
  • I created a joint action for the areas of click, but since you can't define a variable as a parameter, you may use duplicates of the advanced actions:
    • Assign the v_one with 1
    • Apply the effect Image... Balance for x and Y, the value 0
    • Apply the effect Image... Balance for x and Y, the value 0
    • Apply the effect Image... Balance for x and Y, the value 0
    • Continue
  • Then created a conditional advanced action on the exit of the slide, with many decisions that you have variables, checks each variable and jump on this slide

  I found a way... I think so.. I could create my Quiz in Captivate, click a button, submit 5 questions in this section, return to the main slide and have this section button grayed out, click the next, etc.

  I found this article in which Mark (I guess that Fletcher) created an example with doors and I did the same thing, I had images greyed out under the buttons and then hid the buttons on a scenario.  It works... almost.

  I created variables user for each button and set the values to 0.  Once a section is selected and questions answered, on the slide of congratulations (they are children) following, I put the corresponding variable to 1.  Then drag on output, returned to the home page where the slopes of script on slide enter and the parts to the answer buttons are hidden, showing through the greyed out image.

  My problem is that the article no matter what is answered first works very well.  Back to section is good, but when you click the second button, you get the launch for this article page and clicking on the button continue does nothing while the slide is sitting there and just does nothing which I suppose is 3 seconds can I substitute because I have objects on the page.  Then he moves to the slide section completed without ever presenting the question.

  It works this way if I try to respond to the first section first and then the second or I first answer to another and then try the first one second.  Whoever I do first works. Whichever one I second does not work.

  I wish I could copy the script in here, but of course, I can't that Captivate is not select, copy of the script window.

  Any ideas?  This is the example that Marc and his works, each time, but of course, he won't transparent intermediaries in the meantime, I found... which, IMO, should not be a factor.

  Hi Nancy,.

  I think I wasn't clear enough. Lets consider situation below

  1 quiz has 10 question slides and a slide of result

  2. you have a House slide that allows you to access a particular section and take questions in there.

  3. you jump to slide home after taking the questions in a section

  4. you select again the section to go to and take Questions in it.

  In the above situation after that step 3, Captivate will consider that you have completed the questionnaire as you jump to a slide that overflows the Quiz rank (1st question slide and blade of result)

  In step 4, all Questions will be greyed out you already took the Quiz.

  It is also designed as a Cp because it supports only one quiz per project. This isn't a new feature introduced in Cp4.

  To work around the problem, you can try variables and advanced actions. In this case the increase in the number of Quiz attempts to Quiz--> Quiz preferences--> pass/fail. You must also calculate the score for yourself and replace the result with your personal results slide blade.

• CRNT FF: 1 of 5 emails lost all my messages on viewing but shows the amount of mails are there. Search can find them all, just will not appear in the Inbox

  1 of 5 email ACCOUNTS receive mail OK, but as soon as you leave this account and that you come back, nothing appears in the Inbox. The status bar shows however, that there are 32 emails it even if the Inbox is devoid of any text.

    Using Search, I can find ALL 32 emails by searching for a word in the subject field or the body fields. The mails ARE there!  They just do not display in the Inbox.
  

  Then... How the hell can I get the Inbox to display its content again?

  It worked until the day before yesterday when I read an e-mail from a reliable source and it automatically disappeared, along with all others in the Inbox. All other accounts are working very well.

     I tried creating a new email account but it wouldn't let me, giving me an error that the "incoming already exists".  No number or anything; it come when I click DONE in the creation process.  The new account will not write to the disk.
  

  I ran NOrton, AVG, MalWare Bytes, Windows Defender, Spybot AV and the other that I forgot the name of that time. ALL showed nothing found after each live scan success. I'm reasonable sure, I have no malicious software.

  Emails from this account are quite important, and I don't want to lose them if possible; they are for a Committee planning the 50th high-school reunion.

  Windows 7 HP, Dell XPS L702, 6 Gig of RAM, Intel i7 processor and lots of disk space. I've also compacted without change. The messages are all still there, but nothing shows in my Inbox; It is empty. I only see them using Find Messages from words I know are in them.

    Happy to provide any other info needed to evaluate this.  Oh, the account Sends OK too; it's a POP3 account setup.

• I do not see in 19.0.2 cookies that I know are there in the window of the cookies I keep always open; Why not?

  I keep the tools-> options-> show_cookies window open whenever Firefox is running. I want to see what sites are down cookies and I their aggressive management, since many sites ignore "do not follow." Sites like nytimes.com lose also, cookies that have read articles. I delete these cookies from counter to counter their surveillance efforts. Anyway, why I do this is not relevant to my question otherwise than to describe the technique that I use. After the upgrade to 19.0.2 the cookies window no longer displays the cookies. I know that they are there because I can always remove from tools-> clear_recent_history. The evidence: I have connection to google/finance and can see portfolio info staff. When I clear_recent_history-> cookies my session of google/finance updates the generic site, without all the personal info. I want to see the cookie real-time activity that I could before this upgrade. What has changed; Why; and how to restore my window in activity of cookie?

  The article on private browsing has been very helpful and gives me another tool, I didn't know I had. I'm not looking for new features after an upgrade as a solid browser that gets the basics right is what I'm looking for. Less is more, as far as I'm concerned. As to not see the cookies in the cookies window, I cut up the pilot error... sort of. I keep the tools-> options-> privacy-> open show_cookies all the time so, I take the default settings for granted. By default, I mean when it opens after a Firefox upgraded it opens a size minimum, even once it has been used several times. • I backed up my playlists M3U files before setting up a new computer, but even if music files are there, the playlists now show only a part of the music that was originally in the playlists. How can I get my playlists to work properly?

  I have the latest version of iTunes on a Windows 10 computer with a processor i5, 8 GB of RAM and a lot of storage capacity.

  I recently updated my computer to the above specifications and installed a new SSD as my main and kept my old C drive as a new drive E drive.

  I backed up all my iTunes playlists as .m3u files export.

  Now that I have set up my computer and installed the latest version of iTunes (I think that I initially ran 9? Or?), my playlists import OK, but the majority of the songs that were in each playlist are not displayed, even if they are there when I see everything in 'My music', and they are in my iTunes folder.

  The selections are saved correctly I would say. When I opened the files as text files to check .m3u, good song lists are all in tact and the songs that do not appear in iTunes imported playlists are there in the .m3u.

  I tried to re - import playlists, as well as the copy of my music files to my different readers (including the same drive as the .m3u links to and those that they do not). Nothing seems to work. I spent years of compiling playlists are now empty or almost empty, and I can't find a reasonable solution to fix it.

  Must the .m3u files be .xml files? Is this a bug between versions of iTunes?

  Not sure if it's relevant, but my iPod Touch still has playlists on it. I hesitate to plug them in and try to sync because I don't want them crushed.

  Any help would be great, if you please.

  "Backup" individual playlists is not necessary and probably will not work in all cases.  All selections are stored in the iTunes (iTunes Library.itl) database and all approaches successful transfer, reproduce or modify your library depends on manipulation of this file correctly.

  If you haven't changed anything on the E: drive, you have nothing more that hold down the SHIFT key at startup of iTunes, then when you see this message:

  

  Select the iTunes (the file iTunes Library.itl ) on your E: drive database - if you use default iTunes, this will be in E:\Users\username\Music\iTunes.

  To start, I read in countless discussions here on iPhoto glitches and patches, so I hope I'm not repeating this question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere I had a question after question with iPhoto (mainly around several accidents after organizing photos into albums that made the album organization and this issue I describe below) and is considering moving to Adobe Bridge just to have a reliable place to store my photos without worrying about the constant pain. I realize that no program is immune to glitches, but the volume and the frequency that I've had with iPhoto is unmatched (which led me to wonder if it is just a user error, but I honestly can't understand for the life of me). So I describe my current number below, in the hope of resolving the issue so that either A. I can fix and give iPhoto a chance more or B can I ensure that my photos are safe and intact before transfer to another program.

  Some of my iPhoto albums appear empty with no sticker and say '0' when I fly over the album, but the photos are there when I open the album. I have rebuilt the thumbnails, and it has not solved the problem. After the other issues that I had with iPhoto crashes, I made sure that all updates have been installed. Unfortunately, I don't remember if I've rebuilt or repaired the database, but it seems that all my photos are present, all mixed together and some showing in the albums 'empty '. Here's my question: is one problem, other than being boring? And should I switch to another program, or have I missed something?

  A few details:

  • I have rebuilt thumbnails today and it took 5.5 hours. It seems completing without problem, but has not solved the problem.

  • I have my computer fully backed up on an external drive to Seagate drive as Mac OS extended (journaled) as well as iPhoto backed up separately on the drive as well.

  • Looks like I have a "library" and "alias."

  • I use iPhoto to organize my photos. I use Photoshop to edit. I love the feel of iPhoto, but I lost hours and hours trying to organize and solve problems.

  • I use iPhoto 11 version 9.4.3 OSX 10.8.5 / / MacBook Pro processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

  Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its function of reconstruction. (In early versions of the Library Manager, this is the file-> control Rebuild. In versions later it is under the menu library.)

  This will create a completely new library. It will then copy (or try) your photos and all associated metadata and versions to this library and as close as possible to what you had in the damaged library fix it. It does this based on the information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but it means that things not shared won't be there, so no slide shows, books or calendars, for example - but it should recover all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places.

  Because this process creates a completely new library and does not change your old, it is non-destructive, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can simply go back to your old.

  No, he can't hack into your phone via a WiFi hotspot. If it's a BlueTooth tethering connection rather WiFi, it may be able to access certain content on your phone.
