Area 51 - R2, 64GB of memory Support?

I see that the manual indicates the limitation is 32 GB, but everything that I read concerning the chipset and the processor is that it should support 64 GB.  Has anyone successfully upgraded to 64 GB?

    Apple says the following:

    General requirements

    • OS X 10.6.8 or later version
    • 2 GB memory
    • 8.8 GB of available storage

For best performance, I would say not less 4 GB and preferably 8 GB or more.

Your i5 is well able to support properly.

  • Is 2 x 1 GB memory supports dual channel on Satellite Pro M70?

    Hello

I was wondering if I can wquip my M70 with 2 x 1 GB of RAM running in Dual channel mode? Seller is sure it should work, but as I found no info on the pages of toshiba, I would rather confirm here.

    THX in advance

    Hello

The seller was right. The Satellite Pro M70 supports DDR2 memory modules. These modules are dual channel.
You can upgrade the memory up to max 2048 MB (2 x 1024 MB)

    Greetings

  • Satellite A100-626 - maximum memory supported?

    Hello

I have a Satellite A100-626 with 2 GB of RAM.

As indicated in the record of this model:
    standard: 1 024 (512 + 512) MB
    maximum extension: 4 096 MB
    technology: DDR2 RAM (533 MHz)
    expansion module sizes: 256, 512, 1 024 MB

It is said that it can go up to 4 GB, but only shows module sizes up to 1 Gb. (maybe 2 GB modules did not exist at the time).
Anyone know or tested if it is possible to install 2 2 GB modules or 1 module 4 GB to achieve the maximum of 4 GB extension?
Also, it supports up to 800 MHz of frequency? If not, what is the maximum?
And finally, DDR3 works on this model?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

    Hello

I found this Toshiba product page:
    [Satellite A100-626 | http://pt.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=PT&DISC_MODEL=0 & ACTION = PRINT_WITH_BACK & BV_UseBVCookie = Yes & PRODUCT _ID = 119571]

It s a Portuguese Toshiba page because I believe that this model of laptop is designed for the Portuguese market.
You will find information that it of possible to upgrade the RAM to 4 GB (2 x 2 GB RAM).

But note; the 32-bit operating system will not be able to use the full 4 GB of RAM.
Just the 6 bit OS can use and recognize all of the 4 GB

    > Also, is it supports up to 800 MHz of frequency?
It depends on the chipset. If the chipset allows that the then the memory at 800 Mhz would go to 800 Mhz otherwise they would be pointing down.

    > And finally, DDR3 works on this model?
No, as much as I know just the DDR2 modules are supprted.

  • Taken Max memory supported by HP G62-b50SQ.

    Hello.

4 months ago I needed a laptop, and my choice was HP G62-b50sq. I am happy with my choice, but it came with only 3 GB of memory, and it is simply not enough for me.

I read a lot of reviews and specifications of this particular configuration, and in each of them, he says that the accepted maximum memory is 4 GB. Here's the question: why? The processor P6100, then it has a controller integrated DDR3-1066 memory and it supports 8 GB of RAM, so why this particular cell takes in charge only half? Or there is not enough physical space for double side slots inside to adapt?

    Thank you.

    Specifications:

    HP G62-b50sq

    Intel P6100 @ 2.00GHz

    3 GB DDR3 - 1066

    ATi Radeon 5470 512 MB DDR3

    Seagate 500 GB HARD drive

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02542102.PDF

There is conflicting info on the product specifications page and the service manual.

State of care product max is 4 GB.

Service manual says max is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).

    My advice:

Download and run the free memory Crucial Analyzer.  That will tell you how much memory you can install on your laptop.

    http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/

I'm sure he'll come back and tell you that you can install 8 GB.

If for some unforeseen reason it does not work, then you can still play and buy a 4 GB chip and install it and see what happens.

Chips 4 GB DDR3 are not too expensive (under $ 20.00).

  • Memory support for the Poweredge R710 speed

The Dell Poweredge R710 supports up to 1600 MHz memories? As [manufacturer: SNP20D6FC / 16G |] [Dell Part #: A6994465] is compatible with R710?

    Osmanhamid,

Frequency of memory in servers are affected by a number of factors, including; Speed DIMMS and CPU and memory configuration.

    R710 server supports:

    1. Speed up to 1333 MHz for one module of memory through
    2. Speed up to 1066 MHz for both modules of memory through
    3. Speed up to 800 MHz for three modules of memory per channel. All these speeds correspond to memory single or double modules. Therefore, the speed of 1600 MHz will be down-clocked at a speed suitable depending on the configuration.

  • What is the maximum memory supporting Equium L300 - 17Q?

My laptop comes with a memory chip Samsung 1 G standard and I recently added a 2 G kingston DDR-667 to the other location. Vista recongnizes the total memory than the 3G system. My question is if this laptop supports 4G memory if I just use 2 2 G Samsung chips?

Another weird thing is that as soon as I added this new chip, Everrest indicates that dual channel has been opened! Samsung 1 G and 2 G Kingston? How these two different chips can open the channel double?

The usuer mannual says that the memory maximum expansionbility for this laptop is 2 G.

    Any explanation?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    The user manual says:
512 MB, 1 GB, or 2 GB PC2-5300 memory modules can be installed in two memory slots.
Memory PC2-5300 work as speed of PC2-4200 GL960 Express Chipset.
The system maximum memory size and speed depend on the model you purchased.

2 GB of RAM supported by your model if Vista is able to perceive the 3 GB of RAM so it seems

Mobile Intel GL960 Express chipset has memory dual channel DDR2, 533 MHz system bus, so dual channel has been opened!

    According to the a100 specification

    standard: 512 MB
    maximum scalability: 2 048 MB
    technology: DDR2 RAM (533 MHz)

So, as you can see, it supports up to 2 GB ddr2

    Hi all!

I got the thinkpad with lenovo 23511 t430 has 8 motherboard, I have also 4 GB of ram...

What is the maximum size of memory ram support?

    THX...

You should be able to use 2 strips of 8 GB of RAM for a total of 16 GB.

  • maximum memory supported

According to the specifications of your R60 supports 4 GB.

Based on what PC Doctor told of 'Memory Maximum support' on endia system, the fact that Windows XP reports the full 3 GB and results similar on a couple of X 41 I here (1.5 GB real vs 1 GB according to PC Doctor), I suggest that the message from PC Doctor is poorly drafted and means in fact "supported memory CARD maximum SIZE."
