• Declarative component: she can't see page!

  Hello everyone, I have a problem with a declarative component. First of all it seems that the component has been set correctly because I can see it in the component palette and if I "drag and drop" on the page everything works perfectly. My problem is that I need to create this component programmatically from a bean but it does not work, I get no errors but I do not see the component!

  Simple! I create declarative component (MyDeclarativeComp) and put it on a Board and then refresh it. When I defined MyDeclarativeComp I checked the "custom usage component class" but I did not write any code in the java file. Is this right?

  You cannot add a declarative component in code. Get a decompiler, decompile the classes MyDeclarativeCompComponent and MyDeclarativeComp and you'll see what I mean. It's all in the jspx of the component part.

  I see a problem here (no jazn-"Data.xml").

  When you create pages using the task flow page information go to MDS but security information are always of jazn - addedd "Data.xml". MDS is retained, but jazn-"Data.xml" is published again when you deploy the application.

  Basically, you need a way to control jazn-"Data.xml".

  Fortunately, there is a way!

  When you deploy in the EAR indeployment profile you have an option 'Security Deployment Options' uncheck 'decide that to replace... ". »

  But this approach won't work on when redeployment. Will not work when the cancellation of the deployment and deployment.

  I'm trying to extract data from a table (project_reports), which is to have a column of type CLOB (details) inside data.

  ColdFusion is able to process and display a quantity limited data, but not the full data.
  I want to retrieve and display all of the data using ColdFusion.

  Check the data source settings in the CF administrator. Make sure that the CLOB parameter (enable Long Text Retrieval) is checked.  When this box is _not_ checked, CF retrieves only the 64000 bytes.

  For the record, we have solved the problem. It was that the dynamically generated 91 of stylesheets between the and the following. A bit of CF coding to create a CSS selector has been done and the page past unit and system testing and the user confirms that it works.

  I guess the moral of this story, it's this codification that violates W3C standards may or may not work in some browsers occasionally.

  PS: Only this package (for Flash pro CS... Editor) in more than 40 MB (and normally in the "ZIP" format) is good! package.

  Not pages with Flash Player file (for navigator) for +/-3 MB or other packages of Flash player of +/-20 MB (for developers or old system) and containing only not the right files for Flash Pro CS3.

  Those you need to download is:

  • Download the Windows Flash Player 9 Projector content debugger (EXE, 3.64 MB)
  • Download the Windows Flash Player 9 projector (EXE, 3.26 MB)

  The first file is in the Players\Debug directory.

  The second goes into the Players\Release directory and players (Yes, it's the same file - check the size)

  Once you put the files here, remove the 'old' and rename the new as FlashPlayer.exe

  b. the user may see them if they decide to print

  a. I can't print without having to open each one with a password - works well with printing of lots per page

  3 format pages as hidden 2,3,4 - the user cannot tell or see the other 3 pages but:

  a. I can't print the pages

  3 format pages 2,3,4 as hidden and have the form submitted as xml and import them into the complete PDF

  a. There are fields that are changed dyamically based on the selection of the user (ie. selection of fonts), so that the xml import does not work for this

  You could try a hidden field that seeks the username «»

  There are security problems, and the script has to be in a position of trust. You can make this place a Javascript file inside the Acrobat folder. The penalty usually with trusted fuctions is that you must send to each user a copy of the js file and it should also put it in the appropriate folder.

  In your case is not a problem, because you only want the js file on your computer and do not need to distribute it to others.

  When you put the (downloaded) file in Acrobat / folder Javascript, Acrobat will load it automatically.

  

  In Acrobat, make sure that you have defined a 'name' in Edition / Preferences / Identity tab:

  

  When you open the PDF document, your user name will be on the field. This only happens if the js file is loaded in the correct folder on the computer that you are using.

  

  Once it's working, it's a simple step to include an if statement in the textfield, after the script located in the initialize event:

  This means that the visibility of the three pages would be automatic. User with the js file AND your username could see pages 2-4, everyone would not see these pages.

  I know it's a little complicated, but once put in place it should continue to work OK.

• Dynamic page references

  I've done a few documents that contain what I would call inline references page numbers. For example in the middle of a paragraph, "for more information, see page x". Usually, the document redéroule at some point and I have to remember to update the page references.

  I can't help but wonder if there is a simple way (and I mean by simple without custom scripts) to the dynamic page number references. Kind of like how TOCs work, except that I don't want to pick up all instances of a certain style of paragraph, just a specific line or something. I guess I could do with the anchors, but I do not want to turn the words into hyperlinks in the document. I just want the correct page number is displayed permanently.

  For CS3, take a look at this script of sectors de Jong: Script for referrals, including a tutorial on how to use it (updated April 10, 2006) you need to update manually, I think.

  If you use a large number of cross-references, the upgrade to CS4 would probably be worth it for that alone.

• Problem with page number display

  I changed without intention some settings or something, but I can't fix it. I have documents (book chapters) that do not start with page 1 but the spirit 230 or 130 or some other number, but I see the sign where you ca see pages or master pages, the only pages starting with 1 (as in "the first page of this document and so on".) On another computer, no problem, the same file number in this Panel page corect.

  Can someone please help and tell me how corect this?

  I almost forgot; I am working on Windows and with InDesign CS3.

  Check your settings on each computer in Edit > Preferences > General > Page numbering. Chances are it's different on both computers.
