  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300-11F. It comes with 2 USB ports.
  I have a pendrive plus 1 GB and all recently bought a Maxell 16 GB USB key.
  The USB works flawlessly at work, desktop pc, but doesn't seem to work with the laptop.

  I managed to use that only once since the USB port of the laptop simply does not recognize.
  I can tell that the Red led does not Flash and the Flash DRIVE is not accessible.
  I tried to use the hub USB Toshiba provided, no chance either :(

  2 USB ports are ok I use mouse, digital camera with her.
  Is the 16 GB USB key, it works perfectly with other machines. * desktop pcs *.

  I'm missing a few USB drivers or what is the problem?

  I have a couple of USB flash drives. I recently got a new computer and none of them work. They work on a computer with Vista and a Macintosh running leopard OSX. I tried to install the drivers for them, but they do not work. I tried to uninstall the from Device Manager, but they don't always work. Also, one of them appears SOMETIMES (very rarely) and when he does works incredibly slow and unresponsive so. I searched the internet for each method I can find, but nothing yet. And they work very well on other computers. Can I use bluetooth USB and a USB mouse and pregnant too much work, but the sticks of memory will not work. Also do they not appear on Device Manager.   Thank you for your message.  Have you tried formatting of thumb drives?  If you have data on them, you will need to copy these data to a computer first.
  If you can see the drive but not access it under XP:
  Open 'My computer' > click the drive and select "format...". »
  When the Format window opens, scroll down the "NTFS" file system, and select 'start '.

• x755w: x755w 128 GB Flash Drive does not work.

  I recently bought two of the aforementioned usb 3.0 Flash Drives.  At the same time I upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10.  I tried to use one of the discs, but it would not appear.  I tried on each of my machines: HP, Dell, Toshiba, Asus and it don't work.  I could find it in the Device Manager, but the 'Location' field was empty.  It took a hacker and he tried everyway he knew to get there, but failed.  The other worked right out of the box, no problem

  Guess my question is, how can I I get a refund on the first hard drive?  There seems to be no provision on this site to address these concerns.  (Bought in October).

  It worked fine, but not now.
  My OS is win xp, sp3, home ed.

  The Toshiba drive is more steady and is almost impossible to work with now. I checked with Device Manager that says the drive is working correctly.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, cleaned and Defrag the disk (when I was able to access) but it works still very badly now!

  What else can I do to find out what is the problem with this Toshiba drive and return it works reliably?

  Somehow I'm the drive working again, I went in 'tools' and all reset setting 'default '. Now the drive works, but I transferred some data on the hard disk, just in case. Wish me luck on this...

  Well, it seems that after more than a week of messing around with this for, and finally give up and seek help, I could solve a few hours after doing so. After a lot of searching on Google, one of the things I had seen repeatedly was that the drive letters change can solve the problem. When I first had the problem, I did, and it did not fix the problem. However, somewhere between initially and after patching doing so in my original post, as well as several other elements are not, looks like my original problem has been resolved, and that the drive letters change was actually the origin of the residual problem with the same symptoms. The USB key now works in my USB 2.0 ports original or USB 3.0 adapter card TL; DR: changing the drive letter for the drive solved the problem, but only after a myriad of other changes.
