  I couldn't find the hp support center and apparently atheros site does not publish for its device.

• Help! Atheros 5007 let not my wireless router works!

  I have a laptop with Windows Vista sp2, and I try to connect a Cisco, Lynksis router E2000 wireless.  It does not work and I had a chat session with someone from Cisco, and he says it's my Atheros 5007 802. 11 b / g WiFi adapt which is causing the problem, and I need to upgrade. Where this to do and how. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to understand.  When I go to my driver Atheros and doing an "update", it tells me that it is currently being updated.  As you can tell I'm not super savvy, computer so any any help will be appreciated.

  Open the Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for your Wifi as mentioned below:

  1) click Start and type Device Manager

  2) click devices and network expansion card Manager

  (3) make a right click on your wireless network adapter and click on uninstall

  (4) the closed Device Manager

  (5) right-click on the downlaoded Setup files and click on run as administrator

  6) follow instructions on the screen to complete the installation

  When I checked the soft switch in the Pc, swith found to disable the position. Could someone help to solve?

  Well I solved it by bypassing the wireless adapter and buy something external usb nano wireless, it works perfectly now. problem still not fixed however.

  I found a way to fix my network, ive manually uninstalled the network cards, drivers and downloaded the following file "win78 - 10.0.0.75 - whql" of

  and simply installed the driver via Device Manager

• Satellite M70 - CLI - cannot install display or SM Bus controller driver

  I have a Satellite M70 - cli PSM73C-CL100E and I got a new hard drive and loaded Windows xp. I went on the Toshiba site and downloaded and installed all the drivers. I have no problem with the wifi atheros, the sound, modem or chipset drivers. I also updated the bios v2.10 all successfully.

  The problem is with the video card. I used huntersoft program and know that the chipset is an ATI. He also says it's an ATIradeon xpress 200 m with 128 MB DDR shared video. When I try and install the ATI driver it says Setup could not complete the installation. Try to configure your graphics card with the standard vga driver.

  I spent hours on the net. I tried the ATI L30 XP driver and it does the same thing. I tried the driver ATI radeon xpress 200 m and it says not found material. I don't have the original CD I know he works as the old drive worked fine. Unfortunately, I wiped as well to put in a laptop more old. I should have gotten the drivers out of it. :(

  How have you tried to install the display driver?

  Normally, you can install the driver (screen) If you run the setup.exe file that comes with the driver package. Follow the instructions on the screen thanks to the installation of the driver, the driver will be installed.

  Alternative you can install the driver if you go to Device Manager and right click on the graphics card. Choose update driver and use advanced installation where you can choose the directory and the driver yourself.

  By the way: before starting with the installation of the driver, you must install Service Pack 3 for XP.

  Since I installed windows 8.1 I've known issues so that the closing. It seems that windows shuts properly, then the screen goes black and it crashes for like 10-15 minutes with the leds and the fan still runs. • Since the last update of Windows, I have problems with iastor.sys dpc latencies...

  Has been published since the last Windows Update (happened to autoamtically in the background ) I now have a few latencies.

  It seems to come from the LatencyMon also says iastor.sys driver.

  Tried to install the version the more recent but no luck. STIL have these DPC latencies every few minutes.

  I also see the spike in ProcessExplorer and DPC latency.

  How can I fix it (without breaking my Windows 7)?

  I have baught a new laptop of hp2000-2c29wm and the love machine.  HATE win 8 on this subject. I installed win 7 pro 64-bit on the machine but can not find the drivers anywhere. I checked the hp site and come alone with 1 BIOS update, 2 diagnostic updates for UEFI, tools-utility software-multimedia and 1 1. I need drivers for audio, display, wireless, ethernet, the whole shebang. have tried a little around the net with no luck. tried the instrument manufacturer sites with no luck.

  Maybe my research have failed. I'm about to return the machine.

• Aspire 771G V3 - no network via Wifi

  Dear Acer community and support,

  I use an Acer Aspire V3 771 G model computer laptop that I bought about 2 years ago from the Finland. It has Windows 8 is installed since the time I bought it. It also uses the Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 wifi/bluetooth model component I think with the 10.0.0.225 drivers. I get very well recently with her. My wifi started acting like turning and return after some time spent. So I advanced and checked by users who have various problems with which they all reinstalled their drivers and it seemed to solve the problem they stated. So I decided to reinstall mine so I don't know what I thought so but I uninstall the drivers from Device Manager, which could be a mistake. I then visited the page of download from Acer for pilots and had the pilot-263, which is newer and wanted to install that instead, he asked me yet again to uninstall the drivers (since I did not uninstall completely before I guess, I don't know), and I did it and then reinstalled. After it's over, he asked me to restart and I went and restarted the computer. But after that, I noticed that there are no networks available in the networks to the taskbar section. I tried to uninstall properly then and reinstalled it restart each time of course. Problem remains even if I installed the old drivers. So I panicked and did a system restore (which was from the start > General > advanced since the control panel boot does not work "because of my firewall" as it is said could be due to DEP - no idea on that too-) and restored to a point which is 4 days before this date. He seemed ok, but I thought that the problem with the disconnection may still persist so I did correct this time reinstalling but same thing happens again and no network was found. Now I can't restore the pc at this point yet since him restore point removed somehow and I'm stuck with its current state as it is now. Can someone help with that, what should I do to solve this problem I have in my hands now, it confused me a lot. Can it be due to DEP or my Antivirus/Firewall (Zone Alarm installed on it now) maybe? I don't want to lose my current data and want to keep the pc as it is if possible. Thanks in advance.

The reason for me to uninstall the drivers via Device Manager has been to install the unofficial drivers from here: https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=74&system=7 but he said the drivers are for another system that Windows 8, but it's for Windows 8, which is what tells the site on the link? Can anyone confirm this drivers for Windows 8 or the site is a legitimate/trustable? If Yes can I manually install this driver whql by chance?
