  Is it possible to update the video bios with out having a battery installed on your laptop?  My dell battery died a few months ago, so I've been running with it.  I Dj and video mix with this laptop and the software that I use in video playback (Win Amp, WMP, RealPlayer etc) sometimes becomes unstable.  With my computer experience, I have yet to find a work around.

• 64 MB to 128 MB ATI Mobility Radeon X 300 conflicts? Inspiron 6000...

  I just bought a graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon X 300 128 MB (part #W5320) card to replace the 64 MB version (part #GD296) on my Inspiron 6000. Installed the 128 MB but my 6000 won't even turn on. Replace the old 64 MB or the 6000 began without any problem (did twice to if ensure that 128MB was well seated and all connected).

  What do you think, just a card DOA? Or is there a conflict between the Dell parties which allow me to upgrade? (Dell also has an another 64 MB listed in the #W5322 framework). Thanks in advance...

  When I try to connect my TV to my Dell Inspiron 6400 with ATI Mobility Radeon X 1400 card, all I get is a black and white image. I have tride all the PAL settings.

  What I tried: I connected the s-video with an s-video cable output to my TV s-video connector (composite) result: no color image, just black and white of my office.

  Eh, I've had this laptop for the year 2003 model and it was pretty good laptop.

  Vista disables the default 256 color mode, but if you right-click on the file, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab there should be
  an option to run in mode 256 colors, but I don't know if these settings in your system using 256 colors will fix the program.

  Since you´ve already tried, you can also try to install a virtual system like VMware and then install Win95/98 in VMware. Then it should work.

  Sorry, but I searched and find a solution to the couldn t. Maybe you should google on some microsoft sites to find a workaround... typing "256 colors Vista" should help.

  There is no man. I tried all the drivers that windows update provides the catalyst beta and nothing. I managed a successful bi using the drivers from the site hp for windows 7 and then run them in compatibility mode for windows 8, then right clicking on the maps in the Device Manager and choosing "let me search for the best driver" and then point it to C:\SWSetup\SP50640\Packages\Drivers\Display-ou whatever is the number of sp , and then they install with a typical brand, but always seem to work less the HDMI-cant get to project in my TV :-/

  You can download the mobile page AMD for the Radeon HD2600 graphics card drivers. But I think you need to install/update the driver through the Device Manager.
  Unzip the package downloaded to the folder created on the desktop.
  Then go to Device Manager and here you must use the advanced procedure that allows you to point to the folder (on the desktop) where the driver package was extracted.

  The message appears because these drivers are not certified by Toshiba.
  But as far as I know, you can install the driver through the Device Manager.
  Create a folder on the desktop and unzip the driver package it.
  Now, go into Device Manager, choose graphics card and use the Advanced installation which allows to point to the driver files, stored in the folder on the desktop.
  Windows system must search for the new driver files.

  The chip graphic card cannot be upgraded.
  The driver can even if you do not find a newer version on the Toshiba page.
