• Photoshop CS3 and Nikon D300s = BUYER beware

  I recently bought a Nikon D300s and noticed an error message when I try to open RAW files in Photoshop CS3. I checked for an upgrade to the Camera Raw plugin and guess what? The upgrade that includes the D300s is only available for Photoshop CS4.

  I called Adobe and they confirm not only that I upgrade Photoshop but because I bought Adobe Creative Suite, I have to upgrade the WHOLE suite and CANNOT just Photoshop upgrade.

  I'm not a programmer, but it seems to me that when they update Camera Raw (which they have done several times in CS3) what they are doing is adding support for new cameras. I doubt that there is so much programming made this pluging update not being able to rely on CS3. It is a complete scam.

  Hello! I need help to find all my item numbers and apply a paragraph style so I can use them to create a Table of contents page.

  I tried to enter #^? ^ ? ^ ? ^ ? ^ ? in the search/replace and but it is exactly 5 characters after the sign #. I wonder if you can find all characters starting by # and up until the last characters.

  Once I found all item numbers, how can I apply the paragraph style to have these characters after the sign #? Because I only want to show item numbers without the # sign on the Table of contents/Index page.

  In addition, I have InDesign CS2, which have no function GREP maybe I can do this without the GREP?

  Are your numbers by themselves in a separate paragraph? OTHERWISE you can not USE the table of contents feature to list all the numbers.

  If are, then just look at # in find/replace, then set it to change formatting a new paragraph style (you must create this style in CS2) that you want to include in the table of contents, then as you say, you can use find/replace once more on the history of the TOC to remove the # of all numbers.

  I just realized to my surprise that my Nikon D - 90 has had the exposure compensation adjusted to 2/3 EV for about the last year.  I was not aware of this.  I took some photos of a mile.  I'm not sure that understand what, if all the consequences it would have for me.  What, exactly, that means?  As I understand things, this means that all the photos I've taken are obliged to allow 2/3 of a stop underexposed.  Is this correct?  Can I change them all in Lightroom by changing the exposure compensation?  Should I try to do?  I don't want to cause further damage, but frankly don't really understand the interaction of my images and lightroom enough to know what to do (if anything) to fix it.  I would be grateful for all your comments/advice/help.

  Perhaps.  You can try to insert the video as a video synchronized multiple slides (even if it's on a single slide) which will then translate the video editing is locked in the timeline of the slide. You can drag the length of the blade of quiz and set the point of break of the quiz slide to where you want the video to pause.  Try in a quick experimental project and see if it does what you want.  The other way to pause the slide would be to use a smart shape button as other types of interactive objects can be added to the quiz slides.

• Cursors in the development in the latest Lightroom module are slow to respond

  I've updated to the latest Lightroom and my problem is not as bad as some. However, it's boring.

  When I click on a slider to move it, the response is slow, and sometimes I have to click it a second time to get attached to my cursor so that I can move it.

  The other problems that people seem to have is caused by the graphics processor. But here, I have a Quadro graphics card and whether or not the gpu is enabled or not makes no difference.

  I have a lot of memory and eight processor so I don't really think there is a problem with my pc. Any ideas?

  According to Microsoft, you want something with non-printable strings as an array of bytes, not a string.  I don't know that it will make a difference in this case, but may be worth a try.

• What is the best way to break the questions quiz thanks to a project?

  If you use the default question slides, it is almost impossible. You report the results of an LMS? It is a requirement of SCORM that each file can have only a quiz, transfer the only quiz results.   Situation: Quiz to tell 5 random questions drawn from a pool of 50 questions multiple choice.

  
  Questions pool Panel:
  I'm building the Quizzing question slides workspace.
  I can view the slide and add questions and answers + jpg images that may be necessary.

  If I want to add a shadow to an image, I select the object (img) and place you in the effect controls panel.
  I add a drop shadow and can make adjustments, BUT the effect is not visible on the slide.

  
  The Live Preview button is grayed out and unavailable.

  
  Overview of the toolbar options are...
  F3 slide... Does not show the effect.
  F4 project... would take too long AND would be not safe to view the slide at which I had added the image effect.
  F12 browser... shows the entire project with 5 random questions but not necessarily the specific slide.

  F8 this slide... If I select a blank Question slide at random, it shoots a question of the pool of 50, but not necessarily that I'm working on.

  A lot of extra work...

  If you want to test the effects on a particular slide of your pool of the Question, and you don't want to publish all slides to see it, just click with the right button on the slide in the question pool and select move Question to > the project main.

  Then, you will be able to preview the effects as with any other slide.  When you know that the slide is over, just get him back in the Question pool.
