  Looks like you're running into a problem where the iMac runs more slowly over time and is now to the point that it is difficult to do anything about it because of how long it takes to move the mouse.  I can only imagine how that would interfere with being able to use it for normal tasks while we must certainly take a look inside and see what happens with it.

  One of the first things to check would be to see if there are elements of openness that could be causing the problem.  To do this, click the  in the upper left corner, click System Preferences.  From there, click users and groups, click connection points.  If you have things listed there, click on each one and then click on the symbol less box, it so that nothing is listed.  Then restart the iMac and test to see if it's better.

  Also, take a look at the Activity Monitor to see if there is runaway applications or processes that could cause it to run more slowly.  If there are those who use a lot, then go ahead and stop the process.  Here, this article shows how to use the activity monitor: use on your Mac activity monitor

  Adobe removed this feature (and many others) of the new import in CC 2015.2 / 6.2.  They have apologized for that and for having introduced a large number of bugs, and in the next version they will be restoring the old import feature: Lightroom 6.2 version update and apologies, 6.2 Lightroom import update.

  To return to the previous secure version which is 3.6.17, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and upload it to the office.
  2. Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, etc., the customizations (don't tick the box).

• Distorted in the latest Version of Lightroom - confused images

  I use the latest version of Lightroom CC via Creative Cloud. Records that I haven't looked for a long time, I see the images in preview of the library that are grossly deformed: banding, color blocks, overlays of color in some parts or all of the images. The images are not Camera Raw files. They are jpg and psd files. It is not all the files in any folder, just a few. When I open them in Photoshop, Bridge, or the develop module, they are totally fine and shows no distortions I see in Lightroom. The same is true if I saw them in the viewfinder. If I go back to the library, without making any changes, I still see the distortions. If I make a small change to develop, and then go back, the problem goes away. I use the latest version of the software for my OS [do all the updates without delay]. No problem in 2015 CC Photoshop or Illustrator CC 2015. I use a 27 "iMac with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 M 4096 MB graphics card.

  I wonder if, somehow, a CF card has been corrupted so that in my camera. I'm able to fix older photos, so it isn't a horrible problem.

  It is possible that your preview file is corrupt. You can try to rename your file previews so that Lightroom creates new insights and see if that solves the problem.
