Attach to the path

I'm following a tutorial easy to place text on a path, see below.  However when I select the text and the drawn line, attachment to the path option is not available... Am I missing something?

Thank you

Fireworks: text on a path

Simple lesson to create text that follows a path.

Step 1. Let's start by creating a new document, let's say 400 x 400

Go ahead and type text.

Step 2.                Then draw a path with the pen tool, pencil, rectangle, or circular tool.

Select the text and the path

Step 3. Now, just go to menu and select TEXT > attach to path.

I'm following a tutorial on setting to path, it reads

Using the pen tool or the pencil tool? The pencil tool creates a line of the bitmap, not a vector path.

  • Where is the path of the attachment store?

    Hello

    We would like to migrate attachments for packaging materials (tab: supporting documents) directly to the DB.

    Packaging of all the attachment must point to the same file.png.

    With a procedure, we were able to create empty attachments with name, extension, size, etc., but we can not find the path where the image is located.

    In fact, when we click on the empty attachment system displays an error message: "file not found: attachments you are trying to open is missing from the file system." [...]"

    You can help us to understand where it is the path of the file to store? How we make the connection between people?

    Thank you very much

    Instead of pieces attached under ProdikaHome\XDocuments\Drl? If this isn't the case, please do. Name of the attachment must be the PKID that begins with 7503.

  • How to get the path of the file attached to appliction

    Hello

    I use jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0

    I have a folder named "Img" attached to my application, I need to get the path of this file running. I used code below to get:

    String relativeWebPath = "/ Img";

    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    ServletContext servletContext = (ServletContext) facesContext.getExternalContext () .getContext ();

    String absoluteDiskPath = servletContext.getRealPath (relativeWebPath);

    When I run the application on integrated WebLogic, the true path returns:

    C:\Users\eslami\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60\o.j2ee\drs\testAddr\ViewControllerWebApp.war\Img

    but when I run the application on server Stanalone, returns null.

    How can I get this path on the server Stanalone?

    Habib

    Hello

    ServletContext.getRealPath () returns null if the servlet container cannot translate the virtual path to a real path for any reason any (for example, when content is made available a .war archive).

    To do this, add the following line in the weblogic.xml:

    true

  • The path for the images of attachment in RoboHelp 8

    I'm pretty new to Robohelp, so please forgive me if this has been addressed in another discussion... I have looked and can't seem to find what I'm looking for to describe.

    I work in Robohelp 8 and creation of a new help system in important subjects to a former aid system. The problem, I'm running in and I don't see how to solve is that there are a few topics that have images where instead of the path of the image to a folder called "Images" in the main directory, it plunges the graph in the Project Manager window when I import the subject. I tried watch a subjects who do not have their images in the window of senior project manager, and compared with that, and I don't see the difference. I tried to rename the images and placing them in the correct folders and then insert the images in the topics, but he always tries to look at the main folder and rest pours out the image in the project manager.

    Please share any help you can provide.

    Right-click on the project files and add a new folder called Images. The images probably will appear.

    You do not have to have images in the same folder as the subjects, it is up to you, where they are stored. When project files shows, you see the real records and you can store things where you want. When you see the HTML files, RoboHelp shows the old view with Nick records. I suggest you stick with project files and then have the images where you want.

  • The build directory path appears in the paths of internal vi EXE

    Told us our customers use ActiveX to open a vi within our exe file reference years.  However, a few years ago, we had to turn off the use of LabVIEW 8.x file layout, then the exe started to contain the path that our software has been built since.  For example if the construction c:\ourapp\ourapp.lvproj, before changing the layout of the file, we could access ourapp.exe\viinroot.vi.  Now, the paths of vi in the exe would be Ourapp.exe\ourapp\viinroot.vi.  To work around this problem, we have created a virtual disk V:\ and mapped c:\ourapp with the virtual drive.  On our x 64 build machine (with LabVIEW 2014 x 64) thise creates an exe file with the file path expected (ourapp.exe\viinroot.vi).  On our x 86 build machiene, however, the path is ourapp.exe\V\viinroot.vi, which breaks the possibility to our customers to use ActiveX to control our app.

    What should we do?

    We have solved this problem.  The root cause was cross linking to vi outside our source code directory.

    @mikeporter: we begin to do something like this and it solved the problem in the places where we have implemented this solution.  We went to the root directory where all subdirectories with sub live live and created a vi 'get the root path.vi' he has stripped that it returns path.  Then, we built all paths relative, rather than the path of our exe.

    However, there were a few places not permitted in our code that did not build paths quite the same way and so we didn't find and fix this code.  So, we still had to resolve the issue of the included build directory. In another forum post someone described that LabVIEW detects all the dependencies and then back until it finds the root folder most common and then creates the exe with files from this root.  So we understood that some of the vi in our source code were being attached elsewhere.  In particular, they were linked to copies of themselves stored in our automaded build directory.  So the solution OR proposed was mass compile the code directory.  Once we did it, this problem disappeared

  • How to find the path to the project file programmatically

    I'm trying to find a way to get the path to the project file in the development environment.

    I have attached a small project in LV 8.5.1 with a project file, a library file and the VI. I can get the path to the file library, but not to the project. This channel is still .

    I know that the problem exists in LV 8.6.1f1 but I didn't test in LV 2009.

    I am aware that in reality he could there have more nested levels of the library files, but it doesn't matter when this simple example does not work.

    If this is related to the problem I initially created the library by using the file > new... and later, I created the project and added to the library.

  • Remove the path traced in XY graph

    The attached VI is an implementation of a transistor output features. I've set up using the basic equations. However, my problem is that the XY graph traces to 0 and then starts a new value of VBB. I don't want which retrace the path. I mean, is that, upon completion of the inner loop the external value is updated. Because the inner loop starts agains by 0, I don't want the latest iteration of the inner loop line to the new interation of the inner loop.

    How can I remove that. Help, please

    Insert an additional point containing NaN in the data, it will break the line.

  • FPGA Xilinx compilation failed. Access to the path 'C:\NIFPGA\corecache\activity.log' is denied.

    I just has my cRIO.  I installed all necessary software and drivers and have written a VI mode FPGA.  However, when I try to compile the code, I get the error of follow-up message (see attachment).  I contacted the support NEITHER and they have been unable to solve this problem at the moment.

    The engineer NOR gave me the following advice:

    ' 1. start the registry editor by selecting Start ' Run and then entering the window run regedit.
    2. press the Enter key to open the editor.
    3. find the following registry key in the path below:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\LabVIEW\11.0\AddOns\FPGA\CompilerPath_Xilinx12_4
    * the Wow6432Node is not correct in all cases. on my PC, you go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE. National Instruments\LabVIEW\11.0\AddOns\FPGA\CompilerPath_Xilinx12_4
    4. on the data tab, you should see the path associated with your CompilerPath_Xilinx12_4. Please confirm that it is linked to the C:\NIFGPA\programs\Xilinx12_4
    If you Xilinx 11.5 installed, make sure it is also bound to the correct path.
    5. If you have previous versions of LabVIEW installed, you will need to go to these versions as well. For example if you have LabVIEW 2010 is installed, please, go to 10.0\AddOns\FPGA
    Make sure that the CompilerPath_Xilinx12_4 or the CompilerPath_Xilinx11_5 or the CompilerPath_Xilinx10_1 are all properly placed under the drive C as seen above in step 4.
    (6) make sure that the "Working Directory" under LabVIEW 11.0 has the right path of C:\NIFPGA\
    (7) after that, close the registry editor and navigate to where is the worker to compile the FPGA. By default, it should be here: C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\FPGA\CompileWorker
    (8) here open the document "WorkerRootDirectory.txt" and change the path. Make sure that it is pointing to the C drive.
    (9) save and close the file. Restart your computer.

    It was already correct and still impossible to compile.

    Usually, a "access to the path... denied." error comes from the permissions of the user.

    What operating system do you use?

    You use this tool from an administrator account?

    Is there a security policy on your computer which determines the permissions and user rights?

    Is it possible to run LabVIEW as an administrator?  (e.g. under Windows 7, you right-click on LabVIEW.exe and choose 'Run as administrator'.)

  • Unable to get the write IMAQ 2 file to ask the user for the path.

    I am currently using an IMAQ 2 writing file to create a .bmp image. I have the VI attached to a control which allows the user to enter the path where they want to save the file. However, I do not want the user to have to ensure that they have typed the path forward the write IMAQ file runs. I want the program to work so that when the write IMAQ file running a window is displayed asking the user where they would like to save the file. If someone could help me out I would be grateful thanks.

  • App, opening a file via windows shell commands: "a device attached to the system does not work.

    Hello!

    I hope that someone here will be able to throw some lights on my question, if I post this is the wrong place please let me know because I was directed here (which forum? ). OK, I support and develop custom applications. An older application especially written in Delphi allows users to attached documents (pdf, jpg, txt, etc.) to the records of equipment in a data base. Later users can view these records of equipment and press a button to display the document.

    When the user presses the button to view the document, the application uses the folder variable to save the document to the temporary path and then asks windows via a shell command to open the file. The appeal of Delphi for windows used is the following:

    ShellExecute (GetDesktopWindow, 'open', PChar (TempFile), ",", SW_SHOWNORMAL);

    Normally this process works very well, we have had no problems so far. On a single computer (windows xp pro with Service Pack 3) belonging to a client, instead of opening the file, windows returns the system 31 error and the message ""a device attached to the system is not functioning. ". is displayed.

    * If I navigate to the location where the file is stored on the disk and try to open it, software adobe reader opens the file correctly.

    * I found some suggestions that the file extension is associated properly. PDF associated with Notepad, I changed, and the application could ask windows to open the file very well. Open the file from the location on the work of disc as well. Change the file for adobe and the problem persisted.

    * I reinstalled adobe reader software, but also a previous version of adobe and the problem persisted.

    * The application doesn't have any problem asking other files opened, only those associated with adobe reader on this same machine. The problem does not exist on other machines.

    That about sums up the problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Louis

    It was determined that the version of adobe reader was at fault.

    I use Windows 7 Professional. My network server is WHS V1.

  • Excerpt from the path of device iSCSI in a list

    Hello

    Can someone please help on how to extract a name of a particular device (for example, a path of the device that contains the string "clone") of a software iSCSI storage card. Here is the script that I found in the internet that retrieves the device attached to the HBA for iSCSI, but I'm having a hard time creating the logic.

    $esxImpl = Get-VMHost -Name

    $storImpl = Get VMHostStorage -$vmhost $esxImpl

    stor = get-view $storImpl. ID

    F oreach ($adapter in $stor. StorageDeviceInfo . ScsiTopology . Adapter) {

      foreach($target in $adapter. Target) {

      $nimblevolname = $target. Transport . IScsiName

    Write-Host $nimblevolname

    Write-Host $nimblevolname | where {$_. $nimblevolname - like ' * clone "" "}

    }

    }

    Thank you.

    With a Where clause, you should be able to do it like this

    $esxImpl = get-VMHost-name MyEsx

    $storImpl = get-VMHostStorage - VMHost $esxImpl

    $stor = get-view-Id $storImpl.ID

    Foreach ($adapter in $stor. StorageDeviceInfo.ScsiTopology.Adapter) {}

    {foreach ($target in $adapter.target)}

    $target. Transport | where {$_.} Nomiscsi-match 'clone'} | Select IScsiName

    }

    }

    I need to create a form of circle, distributed along the path, similar to that on the attached screenshot. I created using the envelope distort/make with Warp effect, but I noticed a small distortion of the shape of circle.

    What would be the best approach in the alignment of objects along a curved path?

    Thank you
