Hi, I am unable to open attachments in a pdf file (for example .doc, .mhtml, etc.) when you use Adobe Reader DC. However attachments open fine when you use Adobe reader 11 or Adobe Acrobat Professional. Change 'Function Lock Down' registry key doesn't help either. Is there a way to make it work with CD player.

Thanks for your reply. However, I found the cause; the "allow opening of attachments not pdf with external applications" option was unchecked. I have re-selected and all attachments open fine.
My question is are at - it an Adobe application for the iPhone that can save a Web page with links still embedded in the PDF file.
I would save my Web pages as PDF files, and still have the links in these active pages in this PDF file. I can currently do this with my version of Adobe acrobat on my PC. I would add also this is for personal use and I can't afford monthly fees.

Sorry, Adobe has no product available for free.
However, if you have Acrobat DC on your computer, you can create this a PDF file. If you activate the Mobile link feature, it will be immediately available for all your devices.
In the left navigation pane, you will be able to see all attachments in the PDF file, once you double-click the attachment, it will open in their respective application.
I can't find anything about this, so I'll ask. A customer sent an interactive pdf of company produces us and wants us to use the audio of a video clip that is in the pdf file. We asked for the audio clip, but they don't know who to pick all this up and keep just by saying that it is in the pdf file. While others try to explain that a pdf and mp3 files are not the same thing. I can look in a fall back position to try to extract the audio (or video). There is no question of copyright here. Peon customer just can't / won't get the right file.
Maybe someone can help or point me to the info that says that's not possible.

There is software available to capture anything that would play through your speakers by capturing the output before it hits the speakers. On Mac, I used Audio Hijack and WireTap Studio. I'm sure there are similar programs for Windows.
On my desktop Dell 10 old Windows, upgrade to Windows 7, I am able to read the PDF with audio embedded and an automatic slide show.
Today, I got my new laptop. Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. My pdf opens but no sound and nothing happens when I push the play button.

Try again after you disable the Safe_mode in the CD player. (Menu-> preferences-> Security (enhanced) Edition-> uncheck (turn the Mode protected at startup) and restart the Application)
I created a PDF to a Word document, and the problem is that the PDF document is the file names and path for all images incorporated into the PDF document. I do not want the information posted. I don't want to send the PDF to customers and ask them to read the names that I attributed to these images, it's messy. And I lost many original image files so that they exist only in the Word document, so I can't go back and rename them. I searched the internet for an answer, but I could not find one any where.
When you create (accessible) PDFs coined the word, placed bitmap images will use the file name as 'ALT text' If you do not set something else for the text to say, because an image without ALT text is a failure against the accessibility standards. You cannot change this default action, so you should put your own text that's significant in the ALT field for each picture - that's what you should do anyway if the PDF conforms to standards.
You can can set the text in Word, but this depends on your version where dialog boxes - Google for it - or you can change/remove it in Acrobat by using the navigation pane of tags on the left side of the window (right click on the sidebar if it is not visible). Explore the structure of tags to find the "" tag you want to change, right-click, and choose Properties, then put something in the "Alternate text" field This process is not something you can automate easily, but if you don't need labels at all, you can save without tags (or print to PDF).
When I open a PDF using Firefox, some letters of the words that are printed on the document are missing. In my view, that the creator of the document used a text box to add 'Draft' on it. The D is missing. I found some words are 'Negotiable no copy' and the C is missing. These same files PDF open correctly in IE and Chrome. Experienced on V22 - V25. Using Windows7
Are there fonts embedded in the PDF file or the policy that is set as default in Options > content?
You can right click on the text and use "Inspect element" to open the built-in Inspector and navigate the tabs fonts to see what font is used.
I have a page layout InDesign (urgent work for the necessary client print job later today... of course), which consists of a mix of PDF individual (place) and images, etc.
When I try and print or output to a PDF file, I get an error about missing fonts. I will search for a police and shows the connection of 14 missing fonts, it does NOT give me the option to "change everything, or change/find," as they are grey.
How this can be solved? I need my output
Find the police should tell you the PDF is supposed to get the missing font. Dollars to Donuts that it is not embedded in the PDF file (open the PDF in Acrobat and check the tab fonts document properties).
I have Word 2016 installed as part of my subscription to Microsoft Office 365. I havethe 'Home' nother "insert"'Draw' and other tabs on the far right there is now a tab "ACROBAT" which seems to be an extension added automatically by Adobe. And the tab of ACROBAT, there is an option for "Embed Flash File."
We have a Word document that has multiple embedded audio files. If we use the ACROBAT 'Embed Flash file' extension option, we can embed an audio file and it plays perfectly while in Word. However, when the word is saved as a PDF file, it seems that the Flash file is not included in the PDF file.
Because the option "Embed the Flash file" is provided as part of an extension of Adobe to the word, it seems that our Flash audio should be retained when you save the document in PDF format. We do something wrong? Is it possible to have the audio Flash incorporated be preserved when you save the file in PDF format? Or is this all just not work properly?
This feature works perfectly fine for me even with several audio files; .mp3 to be exact. Remember that when you save as PDF, you are that making the Acrobat Ribbon and not using the native PDF Word export. File "Save as Adobe PDF" would also work.
Can embed you fonts in a pdf file after that the pdf has been created? I received a PDF of an another designer, made a few minor corrections, and now the printer cannot be used because the original pdf didn't have all fonts embedded. Any ideas?
Use the Acrobat Pro preflight!
To incorporate the missing fonts in Acrobat Preflight profile will incorporate the missing fonts in your PDF file assuming that:
(1) the fonts in question are installed on your system and
(2) the police themselves is not protected against the incorporation (they can at least see and print incorporation.
On my i-phone, I am trying to access the PDF files (via a browser App, I tried Safari, Firefox, Chrome) because the files are hosted in a cloud such as Salesforce or Google Drive environment. These files have been created with e-mails, most having parts attached (Word, Excel, PDF) by using a component software add-in Outlook, Sperry Software "Save as PDF". Emails that all are saved as PDF with attachments to email that is automatically attached to the new PDF and stay of attachments in their original format. This PDF file is then transferred to the cloud and is easily accessible from the desktop computer using Firefox with a few setting tweaks. (the i-phone of Firefox application does not have access to the same personalization as the desktop browser).
INSIDE THE PDF attachments are not visible in any of the browsers, but from the browser, I choose "open in...» "Adobe Acrobat Reader, the attachments are visible and they have their correct designation of format and associated label, but they will not open, even NOT the attachments that are PDF files?
I managed to main PDF hyperlink, but attachments will not open the file hypelinked. I also tried to have links to the files, rather than as attachments, but they do not always open. Is there a way to do this?
It of a matter of your PDF structure than anything else. It seems that you speak of the linked files, attachments, after all. Attachments are integrated into the main PDF file. In case of the related files you can be faced with problems because the PDF files use absolute links, which of course can no longer be valid and correct on the server settings more security on the server and in Acrobat / Reader can prevent the loading of external files. why they do not open when you access directly is another story, but we really need to know much more.
