They are able to open and read the documents of the WPS, they need a program installed on their system which is able to open and read these documents (and it can also be they have the program but it is an older version that cannot read the types of files produced by most recent versions).  The only attachments are not enough.  Here is some information on this type of file that describes several options that will do it: http://www.fileinfo.com/extension/wps.  If Word does, it is possible to Microsoft's Word Viewer to free address will be http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3657ce88-7cfa-457a-9aec-f4f827f20cac&displaylang=en.  Another option are not not, but who might be able to read such documents is the free OpenOffice at www.openoffice.org using the program of the writer (I don't know but it of free and worth - it is also a good Office Suite if you have or want to spend money on Microsoft Office itself).

If this isn't the problem (they have the right software to be able to open and read the files), then what program (name and version) are you use to create the files, what (name and version) e-mail program do you use to send, and what program (name and version) that they use to try to open them and read them?  Try emailing the attachment for yourself and confirm that you are able to open it - if you can not, then this is probably a problem with the program e-mailiing.  Post back if necessary and we'll see if we can identify the cause and resolve the issue if the above does not work.
