Attribute of the OCR

Hi guys,.

I'm having a problem with OCR function test. The error I get in return is IMAQ OCR attribute-1074395583. This happened just today after I made changes to an existing application. I had no problems with this before and also nt have made updates to suggest that this was the cause of it. I wonder if it's a question of repertoire that it cannot find the file?

I'm not sure unless I see the character of code and ocr set (if you can provide, it will be easy to know where it happened)
-You said you have amended the application, have you you edit the code or the file character set?
-You use assistant vision or labview?
-Check that the character set the character spacing of the file Min in NI OCR training Interface.

  • Image indexable vs searchable Image (exact) - quality of the OCR

    I work in the legal field and have always used the "Searchable Image (exact)" parameter when you run internal OCR on the document productions.  I am currently using Acrobat X when I do my own OCR.

    I have a seller who says they use Acrobat 9 "Searchable Image" for all productions of their document.  They say even if the actual image of the document is altered, they get better quality OCR results than they do with 'Searchable Image (exact).'  They say that the document is corrected that text can be read by the OCR engine.

    My problem is that a lot of documents is changed.  Architectural drawings in particular are dramatically tilting to the right, the edge of the drawing is being cut entirely from the document and dotted lines are added to the image itself - apparently where used to be at the edge of the page.  This is unacceptable.  They say that the entire drawing being reversed so that the first lines of the text on the drawing's horizontal.  So if there is a small piece of text that is tilted, the entire drawing is inclined to adapt to this one piece of text.

    Is it true that OCR is much better using "Searchable Image" vs "indexable Image (exact)"?  I need to select a configuration option for all the docs, and I am inclined not not change our documents in any way at the expense of the OCR.

    They also say that they have docs of OCRing evil I can't OCR without problem using Acrobat 8 and Acrobat X.  Does this make any sense?  I went directly from 8 x, so I'm not familiar with Acrobat 9.

    Once the OCR files use "Searchable Image" and SAVED, you need to go back and
    find copies of the original files pre - OCR and reOCR them by using "indexable Image (exact)"?

    If having this "faithful" to the original document is an indispensable attribute then, Yes, get you the pre - OCR had PDFs and run through the searchable Image (exact).

    However, I was able to retrieve the "value", once it has been added using:

    Yes, this is the correct way to this code and it works for me without any problem.

    I'm trying to recycle my set OCR file in LabVIEW. Basically, I show the reading string to the user and in case something goes not the respective character must be corrected in the charatcer set file, according to the text entered by the user. It sounds pretty simple, but I haven´t find a way retrieve the character index in the file must be recycled. For this I would be needs to know what character in the set file has been found to resemble one give read character. Do you know how I can get this info? I intend to use the OCR rename character VI.

    You can retrieve the total number of characters formed using IMAQ OCR VI property and looking for property "size of char set.

    You first need to identify your cursor active then you can set the visible property of the cursor in your Boolean control. Creating a property node, drag to show two properties, set the first wire of ActCrsr years the number of cursor for it (0 for the first slider). Now select Cursor.Visible for the second property and wire your Boolean instead. You can add other properties after that.

  • Selection of Inspection based on the attributes of the image

    I'm processing the stored images and must choose an inspection based on attributes of the image as the name and the size (length in pixels).

    Currently, I do all this in only one inspection, but since I'm inspecting several product families (differentiated my name of the image), and several sizes for each family, my inspection algorithm becomes very difficult to manage, so I would like to create a supervisor application that can determine which family of products and the size I'm looking, and then run the corresponding inspection and then do some data sharing and saving the image and loop back to the next image.

    I played with the ability to select Inspection in VBAI, but since I'm not on the material or communications to select the inspection, I can't seem to find a viable solution, ideally, I would like to go through the step of configuration once, then jump to the state diagram for the treatment of the initial image (determine the product family and size) then go to 'Select Inspection' and run the corresponding inspection.  This is where I'm stuck, IE., how to trigger the jump to select inspection in the state diagram?  Some people I have consulted so far say: you can't do that!  Anyone beg to differ?

    If I can't access select Inspection of state diagram, then plan B is to use the LabView API and make the principal contractor in LabView, it is where I need to go?

    If you have the indicator Activate Product select enabled, select product State will run automatically after the State inspect goes to terminal completion. You can use a VI select LabVIEW Run in the State of product for your logic and move to the next round to load. With Vision Builder AI 2010, this path can be considered to be the real path to the inspection (inspection select dynamically run then) so you do not preconfigure a lookup table of inspections to run with values (it was the previous way of doing and it does not allow to dynamically load new inspections that weren't in the preconfigured table). Don't know how it works with your system, but using the LabVIEW API is an alternative that would give you better control and. You might even have a stage run a LV VI specify the control to use on an iteration in Prioduct selection state and inspection of logging of data/images to use later, but due to the opening and closing of the inspections overload new inspections may make having an inspection separate for logging of common data/images does not not your needs timing.

    I downloaded from HP, but when OCR software I scan copy, it asks if you want to send RTF or WordPad.  I use Open Office.  Is it possible to copy it to that?  I have a HP Photosmart 3000 all-in-one printer and use Windows 7 on my laptop.

    The OCR software may not recognize Open Office. If you save it on Wordpad you should always be able to open the document in Open Office. If this does not work, you will need to contact Microsoft to check what OCR program is compatible with Open Office.

  • Recreate the attributes of the My Music folder

    I tried to move the location of 'My music' in order to free up space on the c drive, but it was wrong and the file left in the user account is damaged. I created a new folder but it doesn't have the attributes of the my previous music folder. I thought of a restoration, but the only point is well before I did a lot of independent work on the system, so this isn't a realistic option.

    Sorry for the delay in my response.

    Restore music library to its default values and then try to redirect the music library to another location.

    a. open Windows Explorer. Under libraries.
    b. right-click on the corresponding library (Music), and then choose Remove.
    c. click Yes when asked for confirmation.
    Note: Deleting a library does not remove the content of the included files. However, you need to add or include your folders manually, if necessary.
    Include folders in a library:

    d. then, in the Windows Explorer navigation pane, click libraries and click on restore default libraries.
    e. that recreates the library that you just removed.
    f. this option only restores the default libraries supplied with Windows 7.
