Audio device for Windows 8 suddenly unusable...

So I have a problem. Recently installed an update optional, peripheral audio my laptop has become inaccessible.

There is no sound, I have yet to test the speakers. This is an error message that appears when I try to test.

This occurs when the computer sleeps or when the screen turns off.

Sometimes randomly.

can anyone help? I tried to reinstall the device drivers and the problem still persists

Hello

First of all,  I suggest you check the updates that have been installed recently.
1. press the Windows key + X and click on programs and features.
2. click on view installed updates.
3. take note update that has been installed recently.

I suggest you try the steps from the following link and see if that helps.

No sound in Windows

If you are always faced with the question you brought a note updates that has recently been installed, uninstall updates, reinstall the updates from Microsoft download center in the boot. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. You can also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

Yes you can. You have two choices... you can tell us the brand and model of your computer so that we can help you get the correct driver or you can visit the website of the manufacturer of your computer to find and download the latest drivers from device to your system.

I noticed that you don't have to update your system with the latest service pack. I would say that while you're there, you must download and install Windows XP SP3 for better security for your system from the link provided below.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=191495𮰇

It seems that the Vista driver works also on Windows 7! :)

In addition it s not necessary to update the BIOS for the installation of sound card drivers because first of all, you should try the correct driver.

  • T430u Audio driver for Windows 8.1

Hello. When Lenovo will get out a compatible audio driver Windows 8.1 for T430u? I'm looking forward to upgrade to 8.1 Windows but found that no audio driver for T430u supports Windows 8.1 of the Lenovo Web site.

Please update the audio driver for Windows 8.1, please take care.

    Hello

Welcome to the Community Forums of Lenovo!

Apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for the patience. Windows 8.1 is totally new approach and cannot be considered only as an update for Windows 8. Therefore, compatible drivers needs to be rethought so that they work properly in Windows 8.1. From now on, I can't engage the exact date of arrival of the missing drivers for T430u. You can expect it in the next few days, perhaps a week or even a month to release full and final of all drivers.

    Best regards

    Mithun.

Since you have already installed, it will be under the \Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository directory. If you have recently installed it, sorting by date, and it should be near the top of the list. It will be under the name of the .inf which should start by adi. • How to select the output device HDMI as audio playback for Windows Media Center device

    Output audio media center units

    Hello

I'm trying to set up my media center from windows to windows media center of output through a separate audio device audio device by default.

In this case, I have hdmi output that I want to be the output for windows media center and my realtek analog to be the default for all the rest.

So my overall question is how I make windows media center requires is not the default audio device.

    Thank you

    Andrew

Method 1 is useless. Does that change the audio device by default in the system, what the user seeks specifically not to do.

Method 2 has no effect at all on Media Center.
The answer seems to be no, Media Center only works with the audio output device by default.
  • Audio driver for windows 10

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 14R 5420 that is updated to windows 10. Since Windows 8.1, I have a problem with an EXTREMELLY STRONG NOISE on my internal mic and I used "High definition Audio Device" driver by Microsoft.
Three days ago, that I decided to install a driver from dell support list. In my case, is exactly this: www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails; Starts = 3499109433 & WB64A = osCode & productCode = inspiron-14r-5420 & languageCode = BP, EN & categoryId = to THE

"Wow, incredible, my microphone is working correctly now, yay", I even called some people on Skype and it was fine. But yesterday the laptop stopped recognizing my headset (I is not yet in the list 'Device Manager') and the audio does not work.

Well, I found a lot of other people with the same problem and the solution was to change the driver to "High definition Audio Device". I did sound returns, but my microphone is always noisy.

Why the audio stopped suddenly? I tried to restore the system, but it has not solved the problem.

Now I'm back with the microsoft driver and no microphone. The ideal was to have a driver that works correctly, but this is not the case. How can I handle the noise in my microphone without the conexant driver? Or will resolve this incompatibility between W10 and conexant problem?

Hello. Have you tried to delete the driver Conexant completely from the laptop, then download and re-install?

My guess is that Windows Update is changing the driver to something that does not work. This 'feature' cannot be defeated in most of the versions of Win10 so it may be best to simply go back to Win8.1 and install the Conexant audio driver in this system. The same version of the pilot work for 8.1 and 10.

  • Conexant Audio Driver for Windows 7

    Hi all

I am a user of HP Pavilion dv1000 laptop (PR428UA #ABA), which is a very primitive model, but after upgrade the RAM to 1 GB, I changed the OS from Win XP to Win 7, and it's useful for now. In my view, that it is faster than when it was on XP.

    The problem is, I can't get the audio driver Conexant Cx20468 @ Intel 82801DBM ICH4-M - AC 97 Audio Controller [B-1], for Windows 7.

Yes, I already checked several messages in this forum and tried the similar drivers such as sp40270.exe or sp37816.exe.

    But it does not work.

What I have to give up this challenge because he's too old for laptop?

    Thank you.

    Hi, Jun:

Sorry, that didn't work. I was hoping he would because it was an AC-97 audio driver.

I have another simple idea that you can try.

If you have your laptop connected to the internet, click the audio device in Device Manager. Click the driver tab click on Update driver. Select the automatic search method and I hope that Windows Update will download and install an audio driver for it.

I'm sure that your laptop should be able to run Windows 7, including audio.

If this does not work, try this method of complicated... change the driver XP for work in W7... but you should be able to do. Just follow the instructions carefully:

    1. download the sp30399 driver.   You can get it here:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-31530-1 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & Product = 1816346 & os = 228 & lang = in

    2. run sp30399.exe.

3 go to the extracted folder (default location is: c:\SWSetup\sp30399)

    4. change qta3091.inf:
    Search code block:
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C

and add this line to the title:
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

So the result would look like this:
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

Note: Copy this part of the Device Manager > Multimedia Audio Controller > Details > hardware ID:
    PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

You can have a slightly different description of the device. If you want to be sure, go to Device Manager, open the properties of the audio device not recognized, select the "Détails" tab and select "Hardware ID" in the drop-down list properties drop-down list. Copy the listed top hardware ID string and replace the description of device I wrote above, with one you see.

So the final result is as follows (if you have a description of different device.):
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C
% * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_INSERT YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE ID

    5. now, all you have to do is to install the driver manually through the Device Manager (Driver tab > update driver > select manual installation method and browse to the extracted driver folder (sp30399).)

Good luck and please let us know if you get the sound to work.

For this, I use now call for Automation of DirectX interface.

    Of course, Win7 has DX8,

What is an alternative exists in Win7 and what I need to change in my function to Labview?
