  If you are looking for the Vista 64 bit driver you must search for the driver that supports this chip.

  Apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for the patience. Windows 8.1 is totally new approach and cannot be considered only as an update for Windows 8. Therefore, compatible drivers needs to be rethought so that they work properly in Windows 8.1. From now on, I can't engage the exact date of arrival of the missing drivers for T430u. You can expect it in the next few days, perhaps a week or even a month to release full and final of all drivers.

  Sorry, that didn't work. I was hoping he would because it was an AC-97 audio driver.

  I have another simple idea that you can try.

  If you have your laptop connected to the internet, click the audio device in Device Manager. Click the driver tab click on Update driver. Select the automatic search method and I hope that Windows Update will download and install an audio driver for it.

  I'm sure that your laptop should be able to run Windows 7, including audio.

  If this does not work, try this method of complicated... change the driver XP for work in W7... but you should be able to do. Just follow the instructions carefully:

  1. download the sp30399 driver.   You can get it here:

  2. run sp30399.exe.
  
  3 go to the extracted folder (default location is: c:\SWSetup\sp30399)
  
  4. change qta3091.inf:
  Search code block:

  and add this line to the title:

  Note: Copy this part of the Device Manager > Multimedia Audio Controller > Details > hardware ID:

  You can have a slightly different description of the device. If you want to be sure, go to Device Manager, open the properties of the audio device not recognized, select the "Détails" tab and select "Hardware ID" in the drop-down list properties drop-down list. Copy the listed top hardware ID string and replace the description of device I wrote above, with one you see.
  
  So the final result is as follows (if you have a description of different device.):
  [Conexant]
  % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C

  5. now, all you have to do is to install the driver manually through the Device Manager (Driver tab > update driver > select manual installation method and browse to the extracted driver folder (sp30399).)

  It seems that the Vista driver works also on Windows 7! :)

  In addition it s not necessary to update the BIOS for the installation of sound card drivers because first of all, you should try the correct driver.

  I had the same problem with my Toshiba A 1j1 c50. My DTS sound with the equalizer did not work as well. First, I tried to reinstall the driver dts but that did not work. What DID do the work is the following: download the latest version of the driver IDT audio (not the dts driver), run it and click on repair. After you restart your laptop, you should be able to change the sound settings dts and again hear a big difference in the sound. I hope this will help you.

  I have an Inspiron 14R 5420 that is updated to windows 10. Since Windows 8.1, I have a problem with an EXTREMELLY STRONG NOISE on my internal mic and I used "High definition Audio Device" driver by Microsoft.

  "Wow, incredible, my microphone is working correctly now, yay", I even called some people on Skype and it was fine. But yesterday the laptop stopped recognizing my headset (I is not yet in the list 'Device Manager') and the audio does not work.

  Well, I found a lot of other people with the same problem and the solution was to change the driver to "High definition Audio Device". I did sound returns, but my microphone is always noisy.

  Why the audio stopped suddenly? I tried to restore the system, but it has not solved the problem.

  Now I'm back with the microsoft driver and no microphone. The ideal was to have a driver that works correctly, but this is not the case. How can I handle the noise in my microphone without the conexant driver? Or will resolve this incompatibility between W10 and conexant problem?

  Hello. Have you tried to delete the driver Conexant completely from the laptop, then download and re-install?

  My guess is that Windows Update is changing the driver to something that does not work. This 'feature' cannot be defeated in most of the versions of Win10 so it may be best to simply go back to Win8.1 and install the Conexant audio driver in this system. The same version of the pilot work for 8.1 and 10.

  I installed Windows 7 RC on my "HP dv5030us" Notetbook PC. I want to know if it uses Windows 7 instead of Windows XP, but I can't seem to get the audio to work which is a must.
