  Thanks Bob. Don't know exactly how I work. I read somewhere that changing the metadata could help reverse geo coding in the catalog settings. I restarted also once or twice and now it works. Sigh. 3 hours to do a 3 minute job.

  Anyway, working on existing jobs, went to the folder in THE 4.4 brought up job.  Noticed that TWO of the pictures with that I need to work are not in lightroom where I had worked on their last time.  DON'T worry, they are in the folder via the Apple Desktop finder.  So I go back to reimport job thinking that I accidentally deleted the cat of LR.

  Well I'll import it files are (with the other 200) shaded as if they were STILL in the catalog.  So, apart from the new name all the work and re - import all the work, resulting in this situation?  I checked all the filters are disabled...  I don't know where to go next.  I checked all logical.  I can open the files in question in coverter PS Raw.

  When you try to import photos and thumbnail in the import screen is grayed out, it means that the photos are always in Lightroom. There is no need to re - import, or other drastic measures.

  You have to find photos in Lightroom, and then you can use them.

  You must perform these three before looking for

  1. In the catalog Panel, click all photographs
  2. Disable all filters (once or twice ctrl-L)
  3. Develop all batteries (right-click on a photo, select stacks-> develop all batteries)

  Then you search for photos by file name.

• How can I import from Outlook 2007 when the option is grayed out?

  I'm moving from Outlook 2007 to Thunderbird. All is well until now, but I need to import my old mails from Outlook. When I go to tools > import > Mail I get options for Eudora, Outlook, and Outlook Express. Eudora and Outlook options are grayed out. The option for Outlook Express is available, but who isn't even an option for me, since I am on Windows 7.

  I've read a few articles, and they point out that you must always have Outlook installed and configured as the default e-mail client. I made sure Outlook is set as the default mail client, but the import option is still grayed out. I tried restarting both Outlook and Thunderbird. I also tried the import with Outlook open and closed.

• Firefox updates not - although I have OSX 10.5.8 it keeps saying I have too old a BONE. The auto-update for Firefox is grayed out. How can I update?

  PPC Macs are not compatible with Firefox 4.0 and later versions.

• Media imported, but the layer check box is grayed out

  I think I can have messed with a framework in my project because when I import media into the canvas or the layers pane, I manually option + click on the box to make it appear. I see the icon and the name on the tab layers, but it is grayed out for some reason any. It's especially annoying when an audio file is imported, because it wont let me check the Master volume box.

  There is no problem when running the same tasks with a new project.

  Hello - I am trying to import pictures from a synology NAS.  Lightroom (latest version on a Mac 10.11.5 2015.6) keeps telling me that he could not move files, even if I can copy and move them using the finder.

  This means that you have previously imported these pictures/videos into Lightroom, and you must not (and are not allowed to) import them again.

  Go to your library Module (not the import dialog box) and find the photos, then you can make use of them in any way you want in Lightroom.

  From the library module, look for the image with the same filename and see where LR think there already.

  You may be in the view of eLive currently. Click the media tab in the organizer of items and that should fix the problem.

  Your document is in CMYK color mode.

  Go to Image > Mode and change it to RGB color and you should have Edit > auto-merge of the available layers.
