  How can I configure our "auto memory setting" database with target LMS = 6 GB?

  What other parameters must be change who is affected by it?

  We have only 30 users, but we have 24 GB of physical memory. So I'll go for the users of 501-1000 because I don't want my idle resources?

  Why do you need to activate it then MMA? Why not stick with the init settings in the same doc? If you have some performance issues then you must be addressed and fixing rather than activate the AMM. If no other env running on this server, you can certainly increase the size of the SGA for use of resources.

  I see really no problem in this thread and if we keep going in circles to identify a problem that there is NOT OR that it marks each useful/correct answer as if it was the case with most of your threads then this thread should be locked.

• Need help with performance & setting in an environment of memory data storage/warehousing

  Dear all,

  Nice day.

  We had successfully migrated from a 4 node rack Exadata V2 to a quarter of 2 node rack X 4 - 2 Exadata. However, we are facing some problems with performance for a few charges while others were indeed marked a good improvement.

  1. the total memory on the BONE is 250 GB for each node (two of compute nodes for a quarter of rack).

  2. you would be grateful if someone could help me with the best equation to calculate the SGA and PGA (as well as in the distribution of the shared_pool, large_pool etc.) or automatic memory management is recommended?

  3. we run the exachk report which proposes to set up huge pages.

  4. when we tried to increase the SGA to more than 30 GB system does not do. We set however of the PGA to 85 GB.

  5. in addition, we noted that some of the queries with joins and indexes take more time.

  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi Vikram,

  There is no formula on SGA and PGA, but best practices for environments OLTP is amounting to give memory (which can be up to 80% of total RAM of the server) you can do 80% gas and 20% of the PGA. Envs Data Warehouse, values are like PGA SGA and 40% to 60%, or it may be up to 50% - 50%. In addition, some disencourage docs you keep the auto memory when management database you use a big SGA (> 10).

  You use a CCR environment, you need to configure huge Pages. And if the systems are not allowing you to increase the memory, just take a glance on the semaphore settings, probably, they establish lower values. And for the poor performance queries, we need to explain the structure of the table plans, and you also analyserions if smart scan is the game.

  I inherited a ton of code LabVIEW with Auto Grow enabled for all structures (loops For, case of Structures, etc.). There are thousands of these structures.

  I met the same problem. I prefer not to use auto-grow, but naturally, it is in most of the code I inherit. In any case, this VI should solve the problem. I found it on these forums earlier.

• I usually use picasa to upload my images, but for some reason any 'auto play' does not appear when I insert the memory card. Any advice?

  When you use picasa to upload my images I usuall just put the memory card in the Tower, AutoPlay appears and then I can view, download, etc... But now the auto dish doesn't appear so that I can tdoen load one of my images from picasa. Can someone help me with this? Thank you

• The auto-start applications and memory of the phone...?

  I was wondering if there is a way to push off the loading application autostart until after the SD card / memory Store is available. I'm having a problem with an app that I developed, forcing some users to enter a code of activation before the trial period is over. I did a class that writes debugging information on the SD card for users to send it to me, so I can see where the failure occurs. Well, it seems that the card SD is not available when you start, is it true that weel to store memory? If so, is there a way around it?

  Our application written in memory of camera store and enabled auto-start. First thing that is written to the log file is not at the beginning of the start feature, the still saw issues with our log file. At least, it seems that the storage is on front of network connection. If you still have the problem of storage, you could extend peterof idea and write to the file using some proxy in the buffer until the storage is available.

  I recently downloaded Adobe CC 2015... Face serious problems with the PS when I try to superimpose images.

  
  

  Here are the steps I followed:

  1. file-> Scripts-> battery files

  2. five selected. CR2 files (average size 28 MB)

  3. click on Ok

  4. once photoshop has completed her treatment, selected layers and Edit-> auto-merge the layers-> stack of Images

  Please note that I followed the same steps in converting the CR2s in JPEG... same error result

  I guess the real problem here is the drive working, not RAM. They both found messages 'insufficient memory '.

  Historically, Photoshop has always been remarkably well with large files and little RAM. Excess data which cannot be held in RAM are written to the drive to work, and even if it slows down things considerably, it really requires a lot to run Photoshop to a complete stop.

  Of course, you must move to a 64-bit version of Windows. As it is, Photoshop can use less than 2 of your installed 8 GB of RAM. It's not much, but do not attempt to allocate more than 70% in the PS preferences. Process of the operating system and other applications need RAM too. Allowance too will choke the rest of your system and send it to pimples without end-of-file exchange.

• Search iPhone settings for "Auto-Lock" does not work

  Does anyone know why the Auto-Lock setting is not to be found when you use the search at the top of the main settings page.

  From time to time, when I'm on a conference call, I like to set the auto-lock on 'Never', so I can leave the visible main phone screen to mute/one-mute the call without having to unlock the phone. I have the memory of a goldfish, so I do not remember that it is in the section "Viewing and brightness" and that is why I use the search at the top of the main settings page field. I would normally enter 'Auto', and it would be "Auto-Lock" for me.

  Since the release of iOS10, the la recherche search can't find this definition more although it still is in the section "viewing and brightness.

  The search for other settings seems to work, but it seems that it is just this one, but I have not actually tried too.

  Any ideas on what is happening and how I could get to find the Auto-Lock in the future?

  I've done absolutely nothing. Automatic updates on everything on my PC is turned on. Now, today, I find that Google Maps freezes after I chose, before I did something--the whole PC, requiring Ctrl/Alt/Del to get out, and the Task Manager shows Firefox consumes a lot of memory and multiplying! WTF?

  I am now able to access Google Maps... result! It still doesn't explain WHY this 'anomaly' has to be earlier... when things were stable before any update has been "updated". I'm not used to 'play' with the 'Advanced' options - not since Windows 3.1... Ah, me. Life was so simple in everyday... but slow, sooooslow! BTW, our local newspapers, Newsquest group, UK, Bournemouth Echo, run so many ads around their pages, more auto-run ad videos, pop - ups galore, anti-ad is a MUST. Just check - out and you will see why UK users think Ad-blocker is ACE.

• Space filling without reason for memory/hard disk

  I am working with a large file MS Word (currently, it is great close to 1 GB) and every time I use the file or open it in preview, my computer crashes, slows down, and the amount of disk space hard be used rapidly decreases.  I started with 10 + GB of free space, now I'm less than 2 and get the computer error messages telling me that my hard drive is almost full.  I do not know how to find the files that are clearly in place so I can delete them.  Display hidden files did not reveal anything.  It got to the point where I can open is no longer the large file the computer tells me that the file is damaged.  Reboot does not restore the lack of available disk space.  I am at my wit's end and that you have already removed many other video files and photo I can to free up space.  If not for this problem, I'm sure I'd have at least 20 GB of free space now.  What I can do to understand where space and eliminate permanently?  I need at least another hour to continue working on this issue!

  Starting with the system will create a swap file at least as large as the file being opened. If changes are made then these files will usually stick around as auto-enregistre until the file itself is saved or closed. It is also possible that the large file pushes the other system processes in virtual memory on the disk. That said, unless there are compression/decompression funky stuff going on that I can't imagine a 1 GB file to consume more than 10 GB in "temporary" resources

  I would like to check the status of the Application ~/Library/Caches/ and ~/Library/Saved / for the missing hard drive space (you may need to use the GoTo option in the Finder).

  Usually nothing deleted in the above locations will be automatically recreated when you next run of the corresponding application, but clearing out rarely used application files could release (temporarily) a little extra space. Destruction can also solve problems of application-specific file corruption.

  Otherwise double check that you remembered to empty the trash.

  I use a spreadsheet free prepackaged chequing account number on my iMAC.

  When I select a text cell and start typing the word in this cell other pre-selected words are available.

  It is a great feature until you type something you want, like a misspelled word and select 'back' to enter the misspelled word.

  How can I remove the auto fill words that I don't want. For example on the picture to attach it, I would delete only 3 items in the drop-down list:

  Numbers of creates the list of suggestion of AutoFill on the fly, using what you entered in the cells above the one you are working currently in and select the ones that match what you've typed so far in the active cell.

  A quick check using numbers 3.6.2 presents this offer in B5 with the three headings above it and a typical B5:

  

  After selecting the right version (without a space), then fix the error in B4, is what is offered in B6 after typing the a:

  

  It seems that you can remove erroneous suggestions in the list correcting in cells where this mistake was made (and in those where it was repeated).

  Memory suggests that this was not always true, so it cannot work in the version of numbers that you use.

  I own an A500 which worked perfectly so far. Today I encountered a problem, I also found on a few articles published on the internet: A KeNotify box appears saying that the memory is insufficient. When I check the Task Manager, I see that there are a lot of physical as well as virtual memory available. The popup cannot be ruled out that if I close the KeNotify from the Task Manager. Unfortunately, I can not, for now, say in what circumstances this popup appears but my bet is that a recent update (Windows update?

  Automatic update Chrome?) causes this problem. For the record, I have 8 GB of RAM installed and the OS is W7 64-bit.
  I hope someone can help this investigation more or give a solution. I want to keep installed Kenotify (Toshiba Flashcards/FN keys).

  You use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba or is it your own Windows installation?

  AFAIK KeNotify has something to do with the package of added value. In your case I recommend reinstall VAP and you can download it from the official website of Toshiba.

  I doubt that auto update of Chrome that causes. I also use Google Chrome and Firefox. The two running on automatic updates and don t need RAM space.

  The operating system is responsible for the allocation of RAM.  Nothing bad will happen.  The worst case, it is that treatment will be slowed down a bit.  Relax and use your MBP.

  When connecting on MacMini after I click on the user, the password field is auto-complete with a myriad of points and is not the right password.

  There suddenly / maybe after the most recent update 2015-008, which I installed it on 8 January 2016.

  I need to delete points, usually I can remove them by double clicking on it and pressing the delete key, but they will not simply remove by clicking in the field and using the delete key, as would be normal. Sometimes it takes a few tries to remove the points, and then I can connect.

  Does my keyboard or a virus, my usb port, the update of security or something else...?

  I use this computer without problem for a few years.
