  I have an apex 4.2 page (P110), which contains a component called P110_VESSEL_ID.  Here is a list of selection.    He has a post element of:

  When I click on the link for VESSEL_ID, he closes the window and the value of P110_VESSEL_ID is populated with the value of #VESSEL_ID # of P114 exactly as expected.

  the question I have now is that if P114 #VESSEL_ID # is 99999, so I would like an alert to the pop-up window indicating to the user that by selecting this ship can violate the federal rule.

  Ok.  I think I may be partly the solution.

  the URL must be in single quotes, not double.   and instead of if psupplierVesselId = 999999 in function, I use psupplierVesselId ==

  now, the message does not appear when SUPPLIER_VESSEL_ID appears, however, nothing happens when I select OK or CANCEL.

  If I select one building other than UNKNOWN, nothing appears... so the window is not closed and does not transmit the value of P114_VESSEL_ID to P110_VESSEL_ID.   But I'm getting closer... now just need to tie in the status of G_ISSUING_AGENCY.

• Modal pop-up window in Chrome...

  Hi all

  I use a javascript function to display a modal pop-up form.  Works fine in IE and Firefox but chrome, he refuses to make the modal window...  Users can click on the window to access the original calling page, even create multiple pop up windows...  Not quite the desired effect!

  Otherwise, someone has seen this behavior?  Any ideas on how to avoid what is happening?

  FYI - if you are using showmodaldialog it is broken in Chrome and is removed in version 36 (forthcoming).

  I had a similar problem with pop - ups modal Apex 4.0.

  Adding to the header section of the page template used by the page that is displayed in the modal window seems to fix the problem:

  Something to do with the browser cache. If anyone knows why this problem occurs, please let us know!

  Using APEX 4.2.1 Database 10g... I'm trying to use the form plugin Skillbuilder modal 2.0 with theme 2 of the APEX... Everything works until I tried to close the modal form by a backup or apply the changes... The modal form clears but does NOT close...

  Yes! : o my version of firefox (here in the company, so don't shoot me for that or for IE8 ;-)) here is 6.0.1.
  Strange, it will not work on your side. I have fixed and above it was of the most common issues I encounter when people implement the modal pop-up window, but I can't identify all the other weird things.
  So I'm doing this to the application url is of course http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=59156:2

  
  
  1. I click on the icon to change to the rank of Eugene

  3. I make a few insignificant change to the first or last name
     
  4. I hit Apply Changes
     
  5. In the modal page shows a loading for just a short flash icon

  7. 'Action Processed' is added to the messages at the top of the page
     
  8. The report is updated and I see my changes
     
  
  The modal does not close when no changes are made however. Just hit apply changes without making any changes will submit the page but generates no success message, and therefore the self-closing may not work.

  You just described a completely different problem from that of passing parameters modal page.
  Just add a more real Action "Cancel the event" after the action of modal Page.
  What that will do is replace the click of the anchor who want to access the link HREF.

• Disable the pop-up window

  A small window opens in are at the top right of my page. He has the ability to zoom and change the position of the current page. The window seems to open when I quickly scroll using the mouse wheel. I tried to find what is called the pop-up window and any other information, but I was unable to locate anything.

  The window doesn't help for me and often blocks read page. Anyone who is familiar with this small pop-up window and is anyway to disable?

  There are a lot of options to customize the behavior of the jQuery dialog box. You can set the height as auto, but you must specify a fixed width based on the content.

  $( "#TEST_POPUP" ).dialog({ height: "auto", width:500 });
  

  Default value for height is automatic, you may not specify it.

• Sometimes, when I try to do a Google search, many pop-up windows 'Search the opening' appear. I can't keep typing in my search until I closed all these pop-up windows. How can I stop the EVER arise again?

  If you use Outlook Express, then you get the prompt because it's to check an email account and he failed to connect properly.  He will not stop and prompt you unless you press the Cancel button.  Then go to tools | Options and you can set when OE should check for mail and you can exclude an account from the check under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and set the correct credentials there.
