Automatic update to Vista computer sent in an endless loop.

I tried in safe mode no luck.  It starts with a screen of configuration for the component 3-0% and then automatically restarts at the same screen over and over again.  He never went from 0%.  I have ASUS Express Gate me throwing a "Splashtop browser", that's how I'm able to join this forum.  I can't start my OS or access files HD here somehow.

Hi Raven,

Try the next step and check the result.
Step 1: disable automatic reboot and start the computer
a. boot the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
b. on the menu advanced startup options select "Disable automatic reboot in case of system error" and press ENTER.

    Hello

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?

    2 Norton (another) or a McAfee application ever installed on this machine?

    3. What are the fix applications that you used so far to try to fix this problem?

    Try the next method and check if that helps you with the question of the 127 error you receive.

    Method 1: Rdding the DLL file by doing the following:

    1. Click Start and click Run, in the search box type CMD and press to enter.
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator".
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Regsvr32 msvcp71.dll
    4. close the command prompt window.

    Method 2: run the file system (CFS) Checker:

    (Note: you need an XP installation disk to start the System File Checker search.)

    The SFC command is used to detect and resolve problems with the files on Windows XP and Windows Vista computers. This command allows you to launch the Windows File Protection Service and allows you to analyze all integrity-protected Windows files and replace all problematic files identified.

    1. click on start, and in the box to start, search type CMD
    2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator"
    3. type the following command and press ENTER. Sfc/scannow
    4. close the command prompt window.

  • Automatic update of Vista enough work

    Automatic update Vista stop working, I can not even updates to download manually on the site to update, because the update of the window hangs.  I've been across the different boards, groups etc. looking for an answer.  Here's the problem:

    When the problem was detected:

    I was performing a Windows Update on July 28, 2009, the update process appears to hang when - at this time there, I finished the process via Task Manager (which says that the Windows Update did not) - since that this led to the problem with the update of Windows process still suspended.

    The system configuration:

    (1) HP Pavilion dv7 laptop
    (2) Intel Core 2 DUO P7350 CPU @ 2 GHz
    (3) 64-bit operating system running Service Pack 2 (4 GB Ram)
    (4) Vista Home Premium

    Behavior (I start the Windows Update process - the following happens each time):

    * The Windows Update process launches a blank page of IE with a crumb of bread from "Control Panel > Windows Update.
    * The wheel keeps spinning and over time, I'll "end task the" via Task Manager which translates into the following:
    -A dialog box opens saying "program does not.
    -When I FINISH the task another dialogue box opens saying "Windows Explorer is not responding" However windows Explorer will be finally complete and restart itself.

    Here are 3 of many Solutions of attempts:

    (1) msconfig to disable services Start Up items & disable (has not fixed the problem)
    (2) new installation Usr & run Windows Update (did not fix the problem)
    3) CMD - net stop wuauclt & bits (what was interesting because the system could not find wuauclt but he found pieces)

    I hope you can help as I am running out of ideas.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers.

    Looks like there is a problem with the componetns of Windows Update.

    Try to perform the SFC scan
    1. click on the Start button
    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories
    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option
    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option
    5. If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked for leave before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.
    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter
    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.
    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time
    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue
    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
    11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.
    Also you can try to run the system tool for Windows Vista update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

  • Automatic updates of Vista have deleted all the data on my desk.

    Recently my laptop Toshiba running Vista business done the automatic updates during the night, the morning I found that he had deleted all the folders, files and icons on my desktop (including the important work files), had changed the wallpaper, reset all my Internet properties and changed the login screen.

    What I can do, are very important files.

    I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but this made no difference.

    I also tried to contact Microsoft, who acknowledged my report and said they would be back to me within one business day, which was seven days ago.

    Hi mbuk,.

    Welcome to Windows Vista answers Forums!

    With automatic updates, you want to lose the data stored on the system.

    Once removed the HDD data can't be recovered. However, you can use your favorite search engine to browse third-party data recovery software and use this software to recover data.

    Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    You can also view the following link to recover lost or deleted files and try the steps:

    Hope this information is useful.

    Or you can try this:

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And here's the General information regarding the use of the recovery disk:
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then restart with the recovery in the drive disc.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
