Autonomous 1140 AP, customers receive dhcp IP address

I have a new 1142N AP configured in stand-alone mode, 1 VLAN, 1 SSID and I set up a pool dhcp on the AP and the device of the SAA which is used as a router/internet access. Also, I have a server radius IAS MS configuration and work. Viewer MS Event poster client is authenticating with the RADIUS server, however, only IP on the wireless NIC, s client start all with 169.254.x.x. I also install a dhcp server on the device of the SAA and that does not work either.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I need to back the issue of the production. The config is attached.

Thanks in advance

  • Pwerconnect 6224: vlan client computers do not receive the ip address of DHCP server on a different VLAN

    Hello

I have a prolem routing dhcp requests between the vlan management where DHCP server resides and the other VLANs.

I have the scenario of base with three VLANS: vlan 10 (management vlan), 20, 30, configured on a Powerconnect 6224 switch L2 mode. This switch is connected to a pfsense router. The router is configured at the package of road between the VLANS and it does it well.

In Vlan 10, I have a configured DHCP server to use the ip addresses of all the VLANS (10, 20, 30). VLAN 10 client computers receive ip address but not others from other VLANs.

When I put the ip address in the appropriate range of VLANs manually on computers, I ping the server and I have connectivity.

This suggests that the problem is with the dhcp package.

The following is the configuration of the switch:

The DHCP server stores information that could be useful? May need to configure monitoring ports and something as wireshark to monitor DHCP packets. This would help determine where the package is stopping.

    example:

Console (config) #monitor session 1 source interface 1/g8

Console (config) #monitor session 1 destination interface 1/g10

session mode 1 #monitor console (config)

right now I don't see anything in the config of the switch that stands out. If the DHCP server is configured for option 82, then you will need to include the following command on the switch.

    Example:

    Trust l2relay console #dhcp (config-if-1/g1)

But I don't think that's our scenario here.

  • Cisco E1000 does not connect to internet-do not get the Comcast modem DHCP ip address

    Very strange problem...

I have Comcast HSI and use my E1000 Cisco (Linksys) for about 3 years now. Bought as a refurb.

My problem is that the E1000 is NOT receiving DHCP of my modem Comast info.

Internet works when my laptop is fixed directly to the modem; but when he connects to the internet port of the modem

to the internet port of E1000 is NOT attract my IP from DHCP ISP so no client can broswe 'wired or wireless.

I've even updated the firmware and starting to think its time to get a router 'NINE', as it is NOT LOGIC!

I can't release/renew as I have NO ip address for free.  I tried to configure the E1000 as static

using the ipconfig/all for when the laptop computer and the modem is connected. Comcast said they don't see anything on their end.

I also have factory default router and Redid the config without result.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You must activate the clone MAC address of the router to recognize the connection to your cable modem. The link below will tell you how to configure the router to work with a connection cable and how to clone MAC address.

  • RVL200 error message: DHCP IP address range into conflict with the LAN IP address

I have a RVL200 (firmware v1.0.12).  I use it mainly as a firewall, but also taking advantage of the DHCP server on this subject - at least I thought I was!

When I configured the RVL initially (several years ago), I have it has assigned an address 192.168.0.128 LAN IP and enabled the DHCP server.  The DHCP address for the allocation range is 192.168.0.100-. 149.  I have not assigned a DNS server address (don't remember why not - maybe - because of the same issue, I'm now face).  Since then, whenever I have to appear a new PC on my LAN I put client PC using DHCP to get an IP address... but I need to manually specify the DNS server address (which is logical in the light of what I have described so far).

The question I have now is that I want to assign the DNS server address on the DHCP server on the tab Configuration RVL, so my client DHCP PCs will automatically resume the DNS server address.   But when I enter the address of the local DNS (192.168.0.1), the RVL gives me the error message listed above (conflict IP range).  I can't understand why...

The "strange thing" I see is the DHCP of the RVL / status tab - at the top of this tab it lists the DHCP server address is 192.168.0.1.  This is the address of my DNS server / domain controller.  And the IP address of the domain controller is assigned statically (if it matters).  So I do not know why the RVL shows the DHCP server or my DNS server / DC, rather than showing his own address de.128.  Or why I get this error message when I try to enter the address of the DNS server?  Just as an experiment, I also tried entering the other IP addresses, just to see what happens (all on the local subnet)... and they all return the same error message.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Adam

    1. the address LAN IP of the RVL shouldn't be in the DHCP address pool. I guess that causes the error message when you try to change the settings for the DHCP server.

    2. I would say that you Flash the latest firmware 1.1.7 on your router. Read the release notes.

  • What is a DHCP client address and what is an ISP?

    Hello

The DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol () is a protocol for network configuration for hosts on networks IP (Internet Protocol). Computers that are connected to IP networks must be configured before it can communicate with other hosts. The essential information needed are an IP address and a default route and the routing prefix. DHCP eliminates the manual task by a network administrator. It offers a central database of devices that are connected to the network and eliminates duplicate resource assignments.
An ISP (ISP) is an organization that provides access to the Internet.

  • DHCP Server address range

    Hello

I was wondering if there was a way to change the integrated DHCP server address range of 192.168.1.x for, say, 192.168.0.x?  For example, when you change the IP Address of the router from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1.  I noticed that when you post such a change, the DHCP range does not update accordingly.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Paul

Your range of DHCP server should update automatically to the 192.168.0.x subnet when you change your "local IP address" in 192.168.0.1.   Be sure to use a computer that is connected to your router when you perform this operation.  In addition, be sure to click 'Save Settings', and then to wait (from 3 to 60 seconds) screen refresh.  You will be probably disconnected from the router when you perform this operation.  Don't worry about this.  Turn on the router and your computer.

Then, wait 30 seconds, and then restart the router and the computer.  Now, your local IP address and range of DHCP servers should have the same subnet.

  • Edit excluded in the existing DHCP scope addresses

Can someone tell me please how to change the range of excluded in an existing DHCP scope addresses? There is a current range start and end for the addresses to be excluded, I would modify this range. Please notify. Thank you.

    Hello

Do it before configuring the pool so you don't have all yet to scratch because change the excluded range has no effect on an existing pool.

  • After connecting my computer directly to my front door, they do not receive an IP address.

I run a business from home. Recently, I got rid of my static ip and three of my computers plugged into my modem gateway providers. For some reason my computers are not pulling up from the DHCP IP assigned by the modem. Instead, when I ipconfig/all - I get a 169. IP address. After some research, I read that the automatic configuration could be changed in regedit files. Before making any changes, is there anything else I can do to solve the problem?

I connected my laptop to the modem gateway and all works well.

You probably get a public IP address of the modem only * if * it is not also a router and DHCP is configured on the router said.  Also, I assume that you have changed your network settings to "Obtain an IP address automatically" on each machine?

    Hello

Do you use static IP, or Auto to get the IP of a DHCP router?

In the case of DHCP, look menu DHCP from the router and make sure that the beach is enough to cover all the computers and other network devices.

  • Since the (all updates) update yesterday, I find one inactive (used only for vpn) network adapter waiting for DHCP Ip address. 1 minute. This should not happen.

This adapter (or should I say windows) should not ask an IP address until it is in use. There is no difference if I disable it in Device Manager. I get the following error (ID 1001):

Your computer not was not assigned a network address (by the DHCP server) for the network card with the address...    The following error occurred: 0 x 79. Your computer will keep trying... Since the server (DHCP).

The MAC address is the MAC address of my "virtual" network card

In the meantime my physical network adapter does not work. It seems windows is just to wait a response "who will not to pass" a DHCP server which unless I launch the VPN software is simply not going to work.

I suspect that it is the result of an update that should not work this way.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thank you.

I would just add - it may be important for long-term understanding of the issue. In network connections, the VPN arrested projected map (still there in Device Manager). I see only the physical card. After removing both and reinstall the two becomes visible. The previously hidden map (vpn) becomes visible. It was not until the physical adapter has been reinstalled (logically). Personally, I have no idea why this I messed up. There should not be.

    Best regards, Dave.

  • Ways to receive calls from address book on Cisco Telepresence SX20?

I got many unknown calls on my teleconferencing equipment and I would like to know if there are ways to block these calls or even perhaps only to receive calls on the address book.

This has been discussed before in the forums many times more.  Take a look at some of the following threads:

I have a XP Media Edition, SP3 computer laptop with a Linksys WRT150N router with cable modem.  Router was turned off due to the renovation residential and now computer laptop connects with the router but crashes by acquiring the "network address".  Box connected to the router works fine.  Laptop connected directly to the router works fine.  As far as I know, no settings have been changed on the router - the power.
