  I have windows 7, just like my daughter - I have several cd-rom games that worked on xp, installation of autorun on my computer work mobile girls and installs the games, but it does not work on mine!  I tried all the solutions help and compared the settings on my computer to my girls and everything is the same and all settings appear to be correct.  The only thing I find it on my own (or daughters) is the NoDriveTypeAutoRun command that would allow me to change the data to 91.  Please please could someone help me in a simple way - thank you.

  We recommend that you copy the content of the game on the hard disk drive and install the game in compatibility mode. To do this, try the following steps:

  Step 1: Copy the contents of the game disc to a folder on the desktop
  a. Insert the game disc into the CD/DVD drive.
  b. browse the CD and copy the content.
  c. create a folder on the desktop and paste the content in the folder.

  Step 2: Run the game in compatibility mode Windows XP Service Pack 2
  a. see make older programs run in this version of Windows
  b. Once you install the game, restart the computer and check the result.

  In my under AutoPlay control panel I "install or run program" defined for software and games. But whenever I put I have software or game cd in my drive autoplay does not give the option to run it. AutoPlay appears and displays 'Mixed content Options' and 'General Options', none of which are options to run or install the software. It's like windows ignores the files autorun.inf on the disks.

  I found the answer myself, I went into my registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\ and I delete Autorun.inf. I ran ComboFix a few months and apparently he added

  Guest operating system:

  Windows XP Pro SP2 32-bit

  Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

  None of my guest computers will be autorun physical CD or an ISO. The reader updates in the browser to show the disc label and icon, but then nothing happens.

  The meter is set to 'Connect to the market', 'Use the H: drive' (or an ISO when I tried too) and use SCSI 0:1 in the advanced settings. I tried IDE so and/or carrier Legacy Emulation, no joy.

  I tried to unplug and don't reconnect the drive after still no autorun on the CD, too.

  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong? All the research that I do not seem to return results to find out how to enable autorun in the host, but nothing about this issues in the comments. Any help much appreciated.

• Panda Antivirus and disable the AutoRun not that interfere with Flash Drive Back Up schedule?

  Greetings,

  I understand that Panda Antivirus has a feature enabled by default, which disables the Autorun feature in Windows.  My question is, if someone has Panda anti-virus, Autorun is disabled by default, which will interfere with scheduled weekly or daily tasks associated with the back to the top of the files on the flash drive?  What about using vaccintation for the Panda AV drive?  This has been show to have an effect on the Flash drive backup schedules?

  My system is installed with Vista. Lately I noticed that whenever I connect an external hard drive/USB or load a DVD. the AutoPlay function does not work.   Have you tried the "Reset all default settings" button in the control panel?

  You need not autorun to work to play games.  Install the game by running the setup.exe or similar file when you browse the contents of the CD/DVD.

• Installation of the Client VMware Update Manager 6.0 not in the installation menu

  I played a bit with a VMware 6.0 default installation and everything has been installed. After I finished I could not find a way to configure the Update Manager. It was available in the webclient service, but still there is no way (AFAIK) to go to "Admin View" here.

  I used VMware-VIMSetup-all - 6.0.0 - 2562643.ISO as an installation source.

  It is normal to do it like that or if the option "VUM customer" is somehow forgotten in the automatic menu? I wonder if you guys probably noticed the same thing.

  What utilities you have installed? Theoretically, they could block the autorun

  Normally if autorun doesn t work on XP, you can enable it in the Windows registry:
  Start > run > regedit

  The registry editor will open and go to:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / policies / Explorer
  Double-click the NoDriveTypeAutoRun value and set the value of 91.

  Now he must navigate to:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Services / Cdrom

  Double-click the AutoRun value and set the value to 1.

  Now restart your computer and try it again, usually autorun should work again.
  Additionally, make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed for XP (SP3).

In the AutoPlay window options comes as read audio files, open photo, open the folder to view the files, etc. But window install or run does not come where the file autorun.exe. • CS3/AS2 - industrial strength Autorun?

  HI -.

  I know you're out there!  The person who knows how to establish a bulletproof Autorun that works on any Windows System. I was playing with "[autorun] OPEN = OpenMe.exe ' and with 'Bin' and 'Shell' scripts for days records.  Why something does not work?  All I want to do to open "START.exe".

  If I double-click on START.exe in the list of the files on the disc - it works completely.  How to get Windows to do the double click for me?

  When my boss brings in a DVD of a competing firm--their Flash presentation opens like a champion - full of FLV files and others.

  I know that this is possible.  What Miss me?

  Autorun.exe DVD opens with main menu.html. then when I click 1. HTML which is ment to start (from the main menu.html) only to open a white page only and plays not the file using src = flvplayer.swf player flash video. (it works on all other browsers) fine. Installed the flash plugin but still does not not in Fire fox. But when I navigate to the root of the cd and click 1. HTML it opens and plays very well, but do does not form the main menu.html. any help would be grat

• Autorun does not work WinXP home. I insert a cd and the autorun does not work.

  I have tried everything I can find on solving this.   When I insert a music cd, it is used to bring up a box that I wanted to use it as a player, etc.   Now it's just sitting there and when I right click on a song to play windows media is not even an option to use.
  I hope it's make sense.  Basically the autorun does not work for anything.
