  Let us perform the steps below and check out them.

  I am currently using Lightroom which resides on my 'old' computer (rather than up there in the clouds).  I will soon buy a new desktop computer as a new laptop.  Download Lightroom both of these new computers?  In other words, the product license will allow me two new downloads.  I'm OK with deleting my 'old' Lightroom computer if necessary.

  I see that you have a license for Lightroom under the adobe with same email account as with forums.

  You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers, as long as you don't use it on one at a time.

  You have the option preferences > Presets > Presets with catalog of store?  If you uncheck the box, then user presets will be available to all catalogs.

  They run out of network/Internet protocols.

  You can "downgrade" to win 7 BUT dependent on the Lim, it may void your warranty and there is perhaps no drivers for your computer with windows 7.
