  I use cDAQ 9184 and 9401 digital I/o card, I use the counters available for the measurement of the frequency (pulses are generated by a sensor hall, whose frequency I want to measure to estimate the speed of the motor DC.)   Are these garbage values much higher frequency than you expect?  If so, you're probably picking up noise and should allow the filter PFI for your task.

• Convert PDF returns Garbage text

  OK, this is probably a really easy solution - but I don't know what it is. Sometimes (not always), when I convert or print a web page to PDF all or part of the copy comes out as gibberish - just totally absurd character stream. I would be happy to join an example document if I can. Any thoughts or ideas?

  The new iTunes is an absolute stupidity. I've been using itunes for nearly a decade and the new GUI is absolute garbage. I tried to sync my music and it deleted my tones.   You did a full clone style backup before trying the new iTunes and are ready to return to the for your entire computer?  It's the easy way.  If this isn't the case, then you can do a general web search which will describe the 20 steps and special software, you will need to come back.  You should always ideally backups of some files just before you upgrade.

  MAX write and read using the serial port. This piece of equipment and cable works fine on the other two machines (running Win2K). Returns the correct values in ASCII. On another computer (XP) the answer is something else; instead of ASCII, it is "\x**" repeated several times, where each group of four characters, starting with \x and the others to change. MAX version is 2.2 on all machines.

  The behavior is the same using a vi in LabVIEW 6.1 (on all machines); fix ASCII on two machines, waste (various wastes) on the third machine.

  What is a format problem? I don't see a way to configure the serial ports of different formats.

  Can you please more information about the differences between the two computers. More precisely which versions of the drivers are on labor and the garbage machine? Looks like it might be a problem with a specific machine, but I would like to continue the investigation into it.

• Return of Windows 8 operating system

  Windows 8 is the worst OS ever created.  I hope, that it has designed and approved it to get me fired.  I just bought a SONY Vaio Ultrabook $1 100 and Windows 8 was a nightmare on this subject.  I went back not only the machine, but I'll now all Mac for all of my laptop and desktop machines, machine at home.  I've been a loyal customer of Microsoft for 30 years, but with the software as bad as windows 8, chalk puts me to go to Apple.

  I hope that someone at Microsoft readings, because it would be easier to reach Elvis Presley from the grave than to go to a Microsoft support person.  When I returned the Vaio laptop, I lost two days of my time trying to get the operating system and paid a consultant for two hours of time to know that if the software would not load on the machine was because there was something wrong with the software I have load.  Not the case, the software was brand-new.  Windows 8 is simply trash and bosses of Microsoft should be ashamed to put.

  I'm sorry I've read through the forums and came across your post and a few others who vilify Windows 8 saying that they can not use it nor can they load their software so of course Windows 8 is shameful garbage.  I don't understand how all this can be true. I have new PC under Windows 8 in my house. They are all of different form factors and use all types of different devices, in addition, that they all work very well. The only thing most of them have in common is that 8 of them are manufactured by Asus. All but three of them were originally Windows 7 machines and even came with Vista installed. The fact that all of them do better now that they have 8 Windows installed on them. I only ran into two problems that has been resolved with a refresh and the other which has been corrected with a reload since then both of these machines have worked without any problems. So did I am part of the lucky ones and all my machines work exceptionally well, or did computers Asus that I prefer are superior to other OEMS in reality and not only, in my opinion, or maybe it could be that many of these computers poor peoples suffer from operator error? I don't know I can only assume that I am not too lucky that at least not as much as others when it comes to our computers working properly and as my thesis of Asus my 2007 Dell Inspiron 1525 (out of his retirement from the Cabinet thanx for rejuvination Windows 8) works perfectly with Windows 8 even with its processor dual-core older. I am a strong supporter of the functionality of the operating system and are struggling to accredit the many stories of horror that are reported.

• Difficulty garbaged PDF

  I have a bucnch of documents in PDF format (~ 2500). The problem is that most of tham have some sort of garbage: there are a lot of characters of 'emptysquare '.

  My goal is to make all these documents are displayed correctly, and I hope that you can offer tools or ways to reach my goal.

  What I tried:

  1. edit this file with Acrobat.

  Since some fonts are embedded, Acrobad told me to install Swiss721SWA font family. No problem.

  After installing the fonts, I was able to make changes, removal of the square characters and pressing space makes its own character.

  But there are real problems:

  -positioning of the cursor is not accurate on these characters of 'place '.

  -After removing the 'square' with backspace character, the text "jumps" and it is not easy to return to the proper position.

  -J' I need to edit files of more than 2000. 2 problems described above makes the goal with respect to the moon.

  2. I tried to export the file in PostScript.

  I have no knowledge on the Postscript format, nor any of the analyzers

  Using the method of trial and error, I found the sequence which is mapped to these "squares", and using automated "Find and replace" tool was able to make the change, BUT:

  -export in PostScript is not automated. Is there a way to create a bacth job?

  -It turned out that the same sequence of code (in some cases) the '-' character as well, so they got lost after the treatment. As I said earlier, I have no knowledge or postscript Analyzer. I've been able to identify, with my own eyes, how to distinguish the two sequences: when it encodes '-' char, text inside certain blocks of Postscript.  The block is started with the sequence of text XRRX [B] N [/ b] and ends with XRRX [B] M [/ b]. But these sequnces are generated randomly in exposrting and each bock in each document has a different ID. And I am really unable to "search / replace" tool allows to identify them.

  -J' have to bulk PDF hyperlinks. They are not exported to the PS, nor can I copy links to the original PDF on a newly distilled from Postscript.

  I have a requirement of the company, where I need to return a record type (OUT parameter) for environment call based on the given input value.

  Suppose that if the value is correct and corresponding record is found in the table then the return values for this key entry. If matching record is found, then return the exception to the calling environment.

  To do this, I created an example of test table and populated records.

  Return a record which can mean two things is complicated; I'm not an experienced myself pl/sql developer, but this looks like a craft.

  The idea of exceptions under Sir Thomas of Kyte, is that any treatment must be stopped; You should RAISE an exception to the appellant so that he can figure out what to do with it.  What you are saying, this is an exception, but is not a little, cos it's okay, I'll just keep but I will go back to the appellant in any way, but the appellant shall include this registration type is - would it be a record representing a row of the table, or it might be an exception... yuck.

  I have a site that every now and then (randomly), it doesn't seem well interpret the request of the site and ends up dumping on a pile of garbage characters on the screen.

  As I said, this happens sporadically, so I'm not sure whether or how to debug.

  Someone at - it here come across this or know where I might be able to look to fix this?

  Looks like that you ask the web server for a file which he didn't MIME for not a type.  What type of file/page you ask when this happens?

• FileReferenceList does not return a complete event

  I have an application that downloads the files. A moment with FileReference file download works. No problems. But when I try to use FileReferenceList, objects in the FileReferenceList FileReference table do not return an Event.COMPLETE, when they finished. Both versions violate the same servlet, so I start from the principle that there should not be no problem on the receiving end. When I throw in debugging code, I see the return of open FileReferenceList object and progress events, but never a full event. Here is what my code does:
  
  The user clicks on the 'Browse' button and selects the files. When they're done, the button is clicked "Upload" and they clicked. I make a few calls to a database to retrieve identifiers of document and then I go through the download process:

  It seems that unless you keep a handle on the FileReference, flash will clean memory engine object it real quick. Which is what is happening here - even if the files were sent to the servlet without problem, the garbage collector has been sucking the FileReference objects until they could send the complete event.

  So the solution here was to place the FileReference object in a table just before download command and then remove it from the table when the end event is raised, so that garbage collection can collect timely.

  It was in fact in the documentation somewhere, but for some reason it didn't register only.

  Anyhoo... He is a good example of what to do about the specifications of lang in the FileReferenceList page under examples.
