  I've just upgraded to firefox 4.0 tonight, and the back button is not working properly of my homepage or certain types of google searches.

  I can reproduce this problem every time by following these steps:

  (1) open a new tab, and I get a blank page.
  (2) select the Home button. I find myself at http://www.google.com/ig
  (3) go to the address bar type in a new URI, and press return

  Now, I leave my home page and go to the new page, but I can't go back to my home page.

  Similar behavior happens if I do a search on google for the address of quick search in the upper right.

  (1) start a new tab.
  (2) enter a search term and press enter

  I imported a png to use as my throughout my project navigation buttons - long story as to why I do not use the buttons that come already with the skins. Now, I am able to the Advanced page by page at the end of my project, but when I go back, some of my BACK buttons do not work. For example, the last slide, I can click on return (say) slide 8. but I can't go to slide 7 - although if I advance since the beginning of the slide 7 I'm able to go back to 6, 5, 4, and al to slide 8.

  Take a look at project > Quiz Manager... > the Quiz settings tab. My guess is that you have selected disable the checkbox "allow backward movement".

  Search Google seems to have made mandatory https once connected. It breaks the history and behavior of the back button to the results page of google search on the results page. I think it's because google, clicking on a result link, redirects to the page of results through an intermediary, obfuscated url, which causes the back button to also redirect to the result page.
