Backup error

I think I may have made a blunder.  But I thought I should check with you to see if there is a hope...

What I did:
-Save my photos on an external drive

-Save my lrcat pics to another external drive

What happened:
-Main hard drive crashed... but I'm not worried because I have external backups.

What I did:

-Copied my pictures on my new internal drive of the C

-Open my file lrcat (from my external hard drive)... noticed it was referencing the photos on my outside and not the pictures on my c... removed from the catalogue of these images and imported my C instead of my outdoor photos.

Hey where are the changes?...  T__T

I realize that I was wrong, but I hope that maybe the changes/data I'm looking is still on this despite my stupid move lrcat file.  Lrcat file is huge... so it seems strange to me that the data I need is not in it... but I have really no idea.

Is it possible I'll be back my changes... or is it to say that I am back for a fresh start with my pictures?

Import a second time, it's always the wrong answer.

What you should have done is a "update folder location" in the folders Panel.

At this point, the catalog did you delete and re-import them in is of no use as long as the changes of old have disappeared.

Ideally, you copied the catalog from the external hard drive also before opening it, as any backup file should never be used directly.

If this isn't the case, you should look for a backup generated by Lightroom Catalog (ZIP file) that contained your old changes. If you have one of these backups, unpack the catalog to a place (I like "d:\Lr_catalogs\"), then work with the restored catalog.
