• 'Launchd' Mac + WebTools in console CPU spikes

  Okay, so I'm on a macbook of 2014 pro environment. I have never had problems with it since I got it. But, I noticed that lately her fans did turn full throttle while it is inactive. Out of curiosity, I checked the console and the activity monitor to see if something weird was going on. And of course, I "launchd" in the activity monitor from 50% to 90% of cpu usage cpu. In addition to this, a process called "WebTools" (it looks like malware) continues to try to run, spamming the console with this:

  Well, it's resolved. I tracked the WebTools file, and that seemed to work.

  Anyone have any idea where we could be this log message of? Or what could be causing this spamming (several times per second)?

  I think we all this kind of thing and just ignore it.

  My technique for ignoring involves the use of 'grep' or 'sed' to filter unwanted lines.

  Here's what I put in a script in my ~ folder after you add the path when I connect via SSH.

  In ~/bin/slog, which is made executable with "chmod + x ~/bin/slog": (note that it is all on one line, no space between the [^.] and the (. *), just in case your browser wraps)

  The advantage is the lines are much shorter, a large part of the 'system' stuff, and I get always more than just the lines "qt - msg' in case I recorded other buffer slog2 names.

  A simpler approach is simply to use "slog2info w | grep qt - msg' but I found this was not enough.

  If I remember correctly the 8182/tcp is used by the HA service. You can try to use "Re-configure HA" and see if it changes anything, but it could in fact be not any problem.

  I'm having the problem where almost nothing goes in my junk e-mail folder. I rechecked my mail spam filtering preferences and I have it configured to enable filtering and move the Junk to junk e-mail folder. Those are the only two boxes checked. That the mail comes, I have systematically report as junk, but no matter how many times I do that junk mail is still not reported as spam in the future, nor is it place in my spam box. I really don't know what to do at this point.

  You mark the emails as being not junk?

  If the emails are not grey/navy/red, then your email provider may have marked them as spam, which would explain why the not junk option is not there. Try to go to the e-mail provider's website to see if you can adjust the junk e-mail settings there.
