Basic concepts of Replay/AA

Hi all

As the title says, I have a difficult time in my head around a few basics of packaging. I looked for a guide of the user to Replay 4.7, but they apparently were fired. I have read a few KB and release notes, but they are not helping.

(1) where I can d/l a guide to 4.7?

(2) for the choice of a just restore point choose the most recent time regardless of the size and if so how does it work? During the day on a 1.5 to is a snapshot of server files maybe 600 GB and another 4 hours later is 20 GB. How could a snapshot of 20 GB (more the base image I suppose) give me a full 1.5 TB of data recovery?

(3) make other people experience extremely slow LAN speed of transfer for the large restorations? I'm talking about 48 hours or more? VM side, how ever would that be useful? What can I do to speed up the process?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Corrigun:

You can find some Replay 4 docs on the link below. I suspect that the backup Admin Guide is what might meet your needs. However, the other docs can help by giving you a better picture about the features of this product.

  • Basic concept of loop PID closed

    Hello

I have a problem of very basic concept of PID loop closed. I read a lot of material of the PID controller but still confused.

I understand that the error between the measure and the desired will be processed by PID controller, but I do not understand how the controller output (sum of three P/I/D) set the right plant behand the controller. For example, an electric motor fan will be below on a Board, the force of the wind on the motherboard could be detected by the tension and of course the fan speed could be adjusted by tension. But the error of the setpoint and the process variable will go directly to the fan in Labview without identifying the mechanisms on the plant (fan). I wonder if anyone knows how this error is treated by the plant. And why we need not care about the transfer of the factory function.

If you have a transfer function for your plants, you don't need PID, because the output of the optimal control can be determined directly from the transfer function! (Well, more specifically, often in this case you would use the transfer to feed-forward control function, which you would combine with PID to correct minor variations between the reality and transfer function model.)

The output of PID is not a sum of errors. It is a sum of the outputs of regulation - the proportional output, the full output and the derived products output. The gains set the regulator to the specific system, and if they are not chosen correctly, the control will be terrible and potentially unstable.

In your hypothetical example of two systems - Yes, it is quite possible that one moment the error and so the output will be the same. But if the systems are very different, the next iteration of control errors will be different, so the next controller output value will be different, etc. And if the systems are very different, they should not have the same gains.

  • basic concepts

I was using java with JCOP of 3-4 months, but I do have a few basic concepts. PS please can someone explain me the steps of initialling a java card. I mean that, as when a computer starts, it has some steps, then what are the steps of java card? How is to be initialization by the JCOP, and what is the concept of the keys that are stored by the JCOP in java card?

The best thing to do, it is write code! More, you can implement the best from scratch. Try implementing a secured on a card (ISO7816) e-mail system. Develop code chaining from scratch.

  • I have a question in the basic concepts of OBIEE

    Hello
I'm prasanna Undapalli.I have question, can u please someone solve this problem.

Can I use a backend of OLTP database to create a dashboard?

    Thank you inadvance.
    Prasanna

    Hello

Technically you can use OBIEE with OLTP as well. However in real-world OLTP-related scenarios makes it difficult for OBIEE create OLTP star schemas. OBIEE is also an engine to run the analytical queries, while in most cases the queries generated on OLTP patterns are operational in nature. Best option is to use BI publisher and finish with OBIEE when querying against OLTP.
OBIEE works with any database if you make do. If you want to follow best practices, its recommended to use with OLAP systems. Once all the OBIEE analytical reporting tool and OLAP databases are designed to the requirements of statement. For its always advised to use OLAP for better performance and more analytical of OBIEE.

Bottom line, you can use OLTP with OBIEE, but performance will be a problem (not recommended).

  • Replay button slide to the action series

I am a beginner in Captivate find confusing and not as intuitive, so I need your help!

I use 9 Captivate for a tour of the software. On the slide, a user clicks on a section highlighted (squares that are defined as buttons that can perform an Action advanced to hide the current and the next area). However, there is no way to 'reset' of the slide where the user must walk through the series of clicks. Even if you go to the next slide and then go back, it still shows the last action. Basically, clicking on Replay should bring them to action box 1.

I know there is the way to go with the advanced Actions, I just can't figure out how. And I would do not also customize individually for each slide. Help!

Seems that you could come to Captivate after using the Storyline articulate or a similar application where there is an option to have a slide to restore the original installation.

Captivate of interactivity is strictly based on events.  So everything that happens has to be triggered by an event.

In your slide with objects that have been displayed or hidden due to measures taken by the learner, you need to use another event any to trigger an action that puts everything back.  To do this is to use the event on slide enter and have this trigger a standard or a conditional Action that sets the State displayed or hidden all the relevant slide objects.  If you run this action whenever you enter the slide, then it will always look the same.

And YES, you should not set this for each slide.

  • concept between MS SQL and Oracle

Hi, everyone, I'm very new to Oracle. Read a few books and confused about some basic concepts:
in the world of MS SQL, you can install several INSTANCE on a physical server, in each INSTANCE, you can create multiple databases, each DATABASE has it is the log data\transaction the disk file.

In the Oracle world, my understanding is, INSTANCE = structure memory + the physical database file (which is about identifying MS SQL). similar to MS SQL, you can have multiple INSTANCEs on each physical server. but who is the "DATABASE" in the oracle world? The closest I think is TABLESPACE. I can assign one or more physical data for each TABLESPACE files. but all the TABLESPACE set the log to roll forward inside the same undo TABLESPACE? In addition, for each application, I need to create one or more table SPACE inside an INSTANCE (it's what I usually do in MS SQL)?

Thank you for your help. Please forgive me if my question is stupid.

Please forgive me if my question is stupid.

Firs of all, your questions are not stupid at all. You can get better understand by defining analogies and comparisons with a product, with that you're familiar with one product. I used the same method when I learned about MS SQL comparing it with Oracle.

    So, welcome aboard the Oracle!

in the world of MS SQL, you can install several INSTANCE on a physical server,

You can have multiple instances of Oracle, belonging to the same or a House of Oracle on the same physical machine.

within each INSTANCE, you can create multiple databases

In the Oracle instance, you can have only one database. That's how it is.

each DATABASE has it is the log data\transaction the disk file.

Even in MS SQL there may be several files of data per database.

    >

    >
    Yes

    >

    >
Here is little similarity between the Oracle TABLESPACE and the MS SQL database.
In MS SQL Database has not only the files associated with it, it has its own security and piece of data dictionary. It can have its own rating, you can detach an instance and attach to the other, you can save some separately, etc...
I'd say MS DB's unit "autonomous and self-containing", comparing to Oracle TS.
Oracle TS is a way to organize the data files and definition some default of the common properties of storage for tables and other segments contained in TS.
TS of Oracle have no separate security and data dictionary. Normally TS can be spare an instance and attached to the other. However, there is a special type of TS - transportable tablespace, which can be seen as a little more closely what is DB Ms.
In any case Oracle TS is not even close to MS DB.
And he does not need to be. It has a completely different purpose.

In addition, for each application, I need to create one or more table SPACE inside an INSTANCE (it's what I usually do in MS SQL)?

You don't have to. But you better to do this way, a point of view organization data. To make things look well organized.
Sometimes a single application can use multiple TS, for example when he needs different block size for some tables.
Also, you can share Costs between multiple applications, as you can do with MS DB.

    What else is different?
There is no separation between the connections and users in Oracle db. It is an entity - USER. He has his security settings and can have its database objects.

In Oracle, can only be a single scheme by the user, even named as a user. Basically it's the same thing - user and schema is the same thing and created and managed by the same CREATE/ALTER USER command.
However, when we talk about storage and a place where objects belong to we say SCHEMA.
When we talk about security and the owner where the objects belong to-we say USER. :)
Schema is like Home in OS users. What the user creates belongs to his 'home' - the schema. And the user is the owner of it.
If a user creates something of the other schema this thing belongs to the than the other schema and that another user will be owner, not the user who calls the CREATE statement.

However, a user can change the current schema for the current session, for do not implicitly by specifying another schema as a prefix for the objects in this schema to another.
    CONNECT scott
    SELECT * FROM joe.emp;
    ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = joe;
    SELECT * FROM emp;

In MS SQL schemas are more like directories, there may be objects of different users in the same pattern and the same user in different schemas.

In Oracle, there are DB that is similar to the linked server connection.
When it is called, DB Link is specified after the name of the object, separated by @.
    SELECT * FROM emp@anotherDB;

    That's the main differences.

Oh yes, Oracle is a release management engine, and MS SQL's engine block, but it can be anything from the latter.

  • Why remove the only element used, the bar addons?

Why their v29 change log done said 'additional options', when the only thing that most of us see is deleted the options, including the most widely used single section: bar of the addon? I don't want to install an addon to display the bar of the addon, which is present from pre-Firefox Mozilla days. So why delete the single most used item? Done the previous CEO Pro-life as it too and the new direction isn't that? Looks like Firefox is going backward, not forward.

NO.... I'm not citing specific examples, but put MORE junk at the top after we are inundated with having TO use the tabs (which are redundant copies of windows below only cramped in to the top at the same time bar) bar, now I have 22 size icons and even drop my space window of text buttons lower in my workspace. It is not that the buttons/icons/addons don't work. (I swear to you that I don't know how people who work in support might need these detailed explanations) It is the fact that, to keep the premium screen, space open, to crush the tabs windows and Firefox destroyed this option. So we went with opening and closing of the bar of the addon whenever we need an add-on. Not to mention the addons as a certain addon Instagram that shows when new photos have arrived, or my safety bar that shows how much the ads and the sites have been blocked, as well as a mouse on display them separately in a concealed popout. Firefox developers are so stuck on their own crud they REALLY think that everyone has and uses on a Galaxy phone apps and crunches all icons like a 13 year old? Those of us who are older, more mature and use addons for something else than sharing photos... (as my Google Voice addon that does not work now to accept calls to open a bar and clicking on the icon until it accepts the click, oops dropped call or went to voicemail because you did not 3-ring)... Phone, Flash development, download videos from websites, eBay, Amazon shopping sales, torrents and each model of business platform has their own INHOUSE addon. You DESTROYED, DECIMATED, no. the model of less clicks is longer, for A SUPPOSEDLY SLIM BROWSER SIMPLIFIED! It's no wonder Execs of Firefox are clueless. Block us who care, our usage patterns and thus only the details on the use of the games for children under 15 to noticed by telemetry from FF.

The basic concept, delete something, at least that replace you it with something equality in employment and work.

Make users create a toolbar addon to replace the bar of the addon is stupid! Pointblank and simple.

Add more clicks to get to the new bar addon was stupid and dumber still was the destruction of a top level bar with a value of the space in the window by the new addon bar be an addon or a creation of the user between the Bookmark Bar and address bar. STUPID!

Finally, why is Firefox simplify anything. It is at the discretion of the user during the construction of its browser him or her self. That's what means be a modular browser. It is not Mr. potato head with only 4 types of eyes, nose and mouth. It's supposed to be a free canvas to work and create our idea of art works.

  • The part 'Name' to open the file in photoshop CS4 window is too short or reduced

Anyone know how to get or adjust the titles of tabs in photoshop when I open a file for that its readable?

Its really annoying when you have to open and work with hundreds of images per day, whenever I open a file, I need to expand the NAME column so that I can read what we call the file!  Using Photoshop CS4 and 10.9.5

I have this problem with Photoshop and not InDesign or Illustrator.

    Thank you.

    Hi there, Geraldo.

It is a big question. For me, I don't want to hurt to see what I need for everything that contributes, I like it.

There are a lot of different ways, you can see things in the Finder that you might like, but there is also information on how to expand the 'Name' column too. The following article, well written for El Capitan still provides a basic concepts that apply to the Mavericks as well:

OS X El Capitan: ways to display items in the Finder Windows

If you are only interested to expand the column enough to know the names of files, here is what you will do.

Resizing of columns: column and Cover Flow in the list view, drag the line between column headers.

To develop a column to display the names of files in their entirety, double-click the column separator.

Let me know if you need more information.

  • How can I myself live bookmarks to highlight the visted links?

In older versions of Firefox (I think version 13 and earlier versions) live bookmarks would have the attention of the links visited by changing the icon displayed next to the bookmark the Favicon of website. You can use this to restore a default icons.

  • 10.6.8 updated help as late as possible bone (I need?)

I'm trying to update my imac OS version 10.6.8 to El Capitan (latest version as of today ' hui)

I have read the conditions required to update, but I must be not understand something obvious.

I have 4 GB of memory, plenty of hard drive and Im on a 2007 imac... (seems like I'm always in clear regarding the specs on the apple website to update)

When I use the software update on the imac it says my computer is up to date.

Any help appreciated. If I can't upgrade to the latest version of el capitan or Im wrong understand a basic concept of what I would need or not need to buy it please let me know. also, what OS can I update on my imac? Thank you

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibilityand download El Capitan from the Mac App Store.

  • Configure a load cell connected to multifunction DAQ

I'm trying to connect a LCDH Omega 10 K scale by a module of constraint Dataforth SCM5B38-37 then AI0 gauge on a USB-6251 multifunction data acquisition.

In addition to the load cell, the application will use a pressure sensor with a strain gauge bridge module plugged into AI1 to read the pressure of hydrulic.  The pressure transducer using a measure of the force will be calculated and compared with the reading of load cell.

Currently, the USB-6251 box is configured to read analog voltage on AI0.  The scale is then performed using linear Fit.VI.

Review the example Bridge - entry continues shows some additional controls may increase the accuracy of the reading.

Unfortunately trying to use the DAQ Assistant only added to my confusion of the best practice in the acquisition of a signal from a load cell.

    __________________________________________________________

Here are some of the questions I have...

What is the best practice implement a load cell using a full bridge strain gauge conditioning module labview?

What is shunt calibration?  Is this similar to the USB-9237 DAQ modules-specific?

How do you know if your sensor is set up like a full bridge, half bridge, etc, the document load cell does not it?

You can use the VI delete DAQmx perform bridge?

    _________________________________________________________________

I don't know, I understand all the information of the map calibration either.

Why is there resistance to entry and exit values?

What is the value of the zero balance signafiance?

    Hello!

I was looking into your question and found a few links that might help you configure your system. The first is a white paper that discusses some of the basic concepts of the gauges of constraint and their use with LabVIEW, shunt calibration and also covers some of the resistance values you see:

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/3642/en/

As you can see in this article, we have some specific hardware, built for the kind of measures you take. Because these devices are manufactured specifically for this application, they would provide better and more reliable results. That being said, you can configure your system with your USB-6521, it might not be as accurate as one of these systems. To set up your measurement system, rather than defining the analog input as a measure of deformation, you want to use the voltage custom with the option of excitement. This article treats this yet:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/C66F92BDE229F45A86257B6D004D6033

We get you your data in the form of Volts/Volts (this document addresses more info on bridge probe scaling: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370466W-01/measfunds/bridgescaling/), , but you should make sure you standardize this value to the excitement. Devices such as the NI 9237 provide the voltage and can take this known value in to account within the program, but you may need to do this manually for your application. Here is additional information on the NI 9237 and how it is configured to read information from strain gauge:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/892C84122A6501AE86257547007E5C53?OpenDocument

Regarding the configuration of unit load and the information, you can try to contact the manufacturer for more information!

    Thank you!

  • Problems with the use of variables at the time of the SV - Loudness.vi

    Hello

I'm rather new to Labview and will have questions, get my Time-Varying Loudness calcuations out correctly. Attached is my current VI and a .csv file of my data set (calibrated in PA. sampling frequency = 50 kHz for 5 seconds). It does not produce what I expected when I run the VI. Here are my questions:

    Time-Varying Loudness:

    (1) what are the signals so much? There are hundreds of lines, but I only expect one.

    (2) why my category axis are not a range from 1 to 24 years as bark should be?

    1/3 octave Band Analsysis:

    (1) why is it incorrect? Them should not be a linear increase the frequency...

Data on the one hand be hurry and make a squeek. It is a transient noise that happens about 2 seconds. But, how could I go do a waterfall (Time (s), Frequency (Hz), Amplidtude (sones)) of this signal? Is there an easy way? or do I have to do all three signals and add to make a parcel?

Thank you very much for your help! Let me know if you need more infromation,

    -Troy

p.s. I have included a picture of the results as well.

    Hi Troy,

    (1) the SV specific volume VI 'chunks' given in blocks of 2 ms and returns then these as individual plots specific Loudness vs. Sone.  The colored lines that you see in your chart are representative of the 2 500 2 periods of time ms in your acquisition of five seconds.  Each of these plots contains 241 points, however they are ten sample "gradually", one for each sone.  The digital filter buffer takes a bit to fill and kick in properly, however, so you can give your first rows (0-. 02 seconds or more) scrutiny before using them - you can see a number of unexpected zeros around the lower sones.

    2) since you use a chart, the x-axis will be increments every race following (the previous data is stored.)  If you only want to display the most recent data, I would recommend switching to a chart, which is found in the chart controls palette.  Also, see above (#1) why the x axis are longer than 24 points.

    (3) remember that dB is a unitless measure and cannot be used in reference to another value. A typical reference for sound is 20 uPa, but you will probably need even out your data entry and determine/set dB reference.  You can take a look at the voltage from the snout to the Cloaca EU.vi scale (EU means equalized units) and from the snout to the Cloaca Set dB reference.vi.  In your case, I think the plot of Octave shows your dB from a default value of 1.  The values should be accurate with respect to the other, but you must provide a reference value to calibrate the scale.

    (4) I think that this VI is a good example how to do to create a cascade:

    Display cascading for Octave (DAQmx)

    http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/EPD/p/ID/5562

You will need to break up of your waveform into pieces, just like the specific volume VI, but the basic concept is roughly the same (take piece of waveform, take octave measure of the piece, add octave output measure cluster to cluster table, repeat for the rest of the waveform display)

Phew!  It was a bit of information.  Let me know if this makes sense and don't be intimidated by the detail and/or unknown functions or methods - you're definitely on the right track, or to ask it to at least the right questions.
