Batch charger FDM

Hello

There is an option of the FDM-> Workbench Client batch loader - > tools-> Application Settings-> Batch Loader.

What does this option? Administrator's Guide says "controls access to batch Loader". I don't get it. Can any explain it.

We mean by batch file script here? right?

Kind regards.

It's true. If you do not select this option, you will not be able to use the batch of FDM magazine feature. See the section in the administration guide FDM which covers the Batch Loader feature and what it does.

  • Shcedule consolidation after batch charging

    Hello

We use Batch Processing in FDM to load data in HFM. But the problem is 1 file is a ndependant workflow. This means that, if I FDM to consolidate the target system, it will consolidate after that each file is loaded at HFM. At risk of compromising the loading process.

I wonder if I could schedule a task in HFM to consolidate the structure of my entity when batch processing is finalised? I prefer this rather than make FDM to consolidate HFM.

I think it would be faster because you consolidate 1 time (planning the task in HFM) rather consolidate after each file. Because we'd all like the imposing consolidated after charging is completed.

    Hello

I think it's impossible with taskflows. You should make a specific development by using APIs.

  • FDM multi-charge integration script?

    Hello

Can we use multi-charge with import of the integration script. Or we can use only with flat files?

    Thanks in advance

I guess that's the classical FDM

You can take a look at batch charger. You can generate files of orders (empty) for each period

your integration script should then be set up to retrieve data based on a period POV.

    Hi all

Thanks a lot for all your response. This issue is resolved as soon as possible and I want to just share what we have done and close this post.

By my team, the FDM Task Manager has not been configured properly for the loader commands to run. Therefore,.

    1. to configure the FDM Task Manager

For the file name, such as we would use the description for the period (e.g. T1 - 2012), so

    2. we need to enable the setting "Allows a description custom period." (in the Admin--> Configuration); and

    3. put the spaces between Q1-2012 in file naming for batch loading (for example, we cannot put ___Q1 2012.txt, must be ___Q1 - 2012.txt)

The batch charger works fine now.

  • Batch loader, loading excel models in FDM

    Hi Experts,

I am very new to FDM. In our project, we will use the version 11.1.1.3.

I know this is the place where we get assistance and clues to reach things or solve problems. Thank you all experts for your contribution here.

  • Name of the Loader - replacement/addition of batch file?

We use a custom/chip merger to FDM which automatically removes earlier charge of intersections HFM 11.1.2.1 adding NODATA lines at the end of our load folder based on the information contained in the previous load file.  In configurations of FDM, users are able to use the MERGE option when loading data so that this feature is the subject of substitution.

We just bought and developed a solution of batch charger that we sail with this feature fusion and intelligent and I want to make sure that we demanded from the configuration file name suitable after a load of MERGE data setting.  If I understand the conventions of filename for batch charger, 'RA', 'AR', 'RR', 'AA' suffix at the end of the charger determines if batch charger through a replacement or addition.

If we want files location to replace the old office in the FDM file during import stage, but load all the data files to HFM using a merger, the my file name ends with "RA"?  Also, if someone accidentally uses RR, change the adapter (FM11X-G5-ELoadOptMethodVal) Option to show only the merger protect against a charge to replace?

    Thanks in advance!

    S

    Load tags are:

Load method for FDM: R, has

Load method target system: R, has

That's right, that if you want to make a replacement in FDM and a merger in HFM you would use RA or RM

RR would make a replacement in FDM and replace in HFM.

You must remove replace option in the test adapter and see if it fails to load.

  • FDM to HFM calculate rather than consolidate

    Hi all

I load a lot of data to different entities within HFM using the batch charger.

I would like to trigger FDM calculate a force but nog a consolidation (since it takes a long time).

Can someone advise please how to do this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Marc

In the integration settings make sure you have force calculate option enabled as well as the option of consolidation. In your entity validation groups ensure then that consolidate checkbox is unchecked against all definitions of your entity. Only a force calculate will then be executed on the entities defined in your group.

  • Load batch Scheduler (A, R) methods

We currently charge 3 files of FDM of HFM. The first is loaded as a replacement of type 0. The second is loaded as merger of type 1. The third is loaded as type 2 accumulate. Which methods would I use with the batch charger to achieve? RR, RA, AA, etc. Thank you!

    Hello

The first element of the load tag specifies the method to use when integrating data FDM to the importing stage 'R' will be a replacement, 'A' will be an addition. You can also have "RZ" and "AZ" who do but remove the values null at the import stage. It is the 2nd element that indicates the method of load HFM and can be either 'R' to replace, ' to merge and 'A' to accumulate. So, I suggest assuming that you always import ito using FDM that replace your batch file loading tag would be

    (1) RR
    (2) RM
    (3) RA

All labels and options are detailed in the FDM Administrator's guide. I hope this helps.

  • Categories, the application and configuration settings not migrate in the exported XML file

We have exported our FDM of an environment and it application another via XML file imported. We have experienced several issues highlighted on the link below. In addition, the control of 'Catégories' table is not migrated at all and there seems to be no option to import or export step on the control panels. In addition, I find that many other parameters have not been migrated, such as:
-Administration | Configuration settings | Allows a custom period description
-Administration | Application settings | Batch charger
-Administration | Application settings | Format of Date key time mask
    -Etc etc

Please can anyone suggest why they have not migrated successfully? It's quite frustrating because at the present time, we have to recreate settings manually in the following environment and the control panel. Y at - it a potential bug here? We use FDM version 11.1.2.1.

  • Files not in the Inbox or Outbox v11.1.2

    Hi all

I'm pretty new to FDM but have used before (with Essbase/Planning v9.3.1). I am now on v11.1.2 and you want to integrate with HFM but I'm having a few problems:

    1. when I import a file, it does not appear in the Inbox folder (it used to do this automatically in the earlier version).
If I want to see the file then I have to go to the import screen in the web client and click on the button 'Show the file' or 'Show log', the file and the log are displayed in the Inbox > ArchiveRestore folder.

    2. when I get to the point of export of the .dat file does not appear in the Outbox folder (once again he used to do this automatically in the previous version)
If I want to see this file so I still have to go in the web client, go to the export screen, then click on "View file", it will then appear in the Outbox > ArchiveRestore folder.

    3. when I run a batch load my file is deleted from the Inbox > lots > record of OpenBatch and a new lot created folder but no file is placed in this folder.

Processes work properly, data circulates in FDM and outside in HFM correctly but I don't see these files without manual intervention, which is not good for me, especially the question of batch charger. I read the readme and the Administrator's guide to see if it is a change to the functionality, but do not see anywhere that it is. Am I missing something?

    Thank you very much
    Stuart

There is an application setting that controls whether the file is copied or move. Check your settings for the method of archive.

    Hello

    ! csProviderUnableToInitialize, SystemDatabase

To solve it, the steps are:

    1. go to /ucm/cs/bin/SystemProperties applet

    2. go to the tab database, and then select the Oracle Thin driver

3 leave the classpath field empty

    4. to connect to the db, provide the db details name of host name, port and service

    5. set the UCM schema user id and password and update

    6.

These sql queries are running 2 on the diagram of the UCM DB:

    update users set dpasswordencoding = "where dname as 'sysadmin ';

    update users set dpassword = "idc" where dname like 'sysadmin ';

    7. then run BatchLoader and check that it works very well.

  • Consolidate and Maintenance of Articles

    Hi people,

I want to put some intermediate users to prevent them from entering the mapping, and Maintenance of the object, I so only Admins to 'activities '.  However, I want this set of intermediate users yet consolidate when they are done with the export of workflow.  How can I accomplish this?  Can consolidate automatically make after exporting, or can I get just the link to "consolidate" under activities (remove cards, logic, etc...)  ?

    Thank you!

    T

If you have enabled the consolidation, validation of properly regulated entity groups and assigns them to relevant places then consolidation automatically occur in the traget following a charge FDM system, as long as the user has the permission to perform consolidations in this system. If there was a problem with the consolidation then the export of fish must have in the gray for failure instead of Orange.
