Battery alert 601 and error screen pink and hard

HP Pavilion DV4-1435DX; Windows 7

I get a 601 alert battery at startup.  In addition, the lower left of the screen is pinkish.  In addition, the hard drive does not have HP Support Assistant INTELLIGENT control.

The pink screen was the first to start.  Then, the alarm battery.  Now, the hard drive.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I was sick.  The 601 error message is on the CMOS of your laptop battery.

It's the part number HP 486835-001 battery for clock time real (RTC) - 3VDC, 250mAh lithium battery - Type CR2330 or equivalent - non rechargeable

I couldn't find the instructions for this laptop, but this video should show you how reach and change the battery CMOS.  We will start with this step, then see where we are with the other errors.  I think to uninstall and reinstall HP Assistant will correct this problem.

Let me know if it helps.

  • HP Mini 311 - HP battery alert - main (internal) (601) - error at startup

I have a HP Mini 311-1037NR (the product number is VBM262UA #ABA).   My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

When I start my HP Mini 311, I get the following message:

    HP battery alert

The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low.  For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.

    Battery (internal) (601)

    ENTER - continue starting

    So my questions are:

First of all, what exactly is the problem here? After that I Googled, it would seem that the problem is NOT my external battery, but my battery.  Which battery is need of replacement?  Has it a name?

Second, is there a user guide out there that could help me with the process of replacing that someone can provide a link, or least send me the page that helps me?  Is there a YouTube video (even better)?

Third, what exactly is the part number of the battery that needs replacement and exactly where can I get this (how much $$ it cost)?  This issue is important because I can be able to know how to replace the battery, but without the possibility to buy a replacement battery, I'm still dead in the water.

Fourth, my HP Mini 311 dies just when I unplug the unit.  A remedy for the above question will remedy this issue?  I really enjoy using my little HP Mini's, I prefer to be able to use it without a power cord.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Tim,.

No problem and it is certainly wise to check a response.

I would say that you posted your question to the correct Board.  It is generally preferable just post once on the relevant map.  I agree that the term "internal" causes unnecessary confusion.

Here is a link to your & Maintenance Guide.

Yes, I am sure that the 601 error code refers to the main battery of your laptops (602 is a failure code for machines that have a secondary storage unit).  Interestingly, there is no code generated for an RTC battery fault - error or one in the diagnostic test built for her, than the usual symptom of the system clock reset after each stop.

There is also a document from HP about alerts on the following link starter battery.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed correctly, and then on reboot I get a blue error screen or green.

The only way that I could finally restart, was safe and then I restored to before I installed SP2.

WinXP SP2 must have been installed more than four years ago.

If you haven't installed SP2, you could not possibly have a functional application of the antivirus installed so see...

    ----------------------------------------------------------

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This error (7th) is usually a driver problem and display adapter (video) driver is the most suspicious if
It could be others. Antivirus/antispyware/security programs, major software and hardware (heat)
questions can also cause the error. When you get to the section of the driver to use the Troubleshoot utility my
generic methods in the next message and then return to the if necessary troubleshooting tool.

Have you recently added hardware or drivers updated? Don't forget to look in Control Panel - Windows
Updates to see if all drivers have been updated it. Other donor opportunities include the antivirus/anti-
    spyware/security programs.

When you get to the pilot and sections of the memory of the troubleshooter check the following message to
update drivers and memory test and then return to the troubleshooter if necessary.

    BCCode: 7F 0x0000007E

    Cause

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. TO
interpret, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.
For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in the inc directory
the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.

Make sure you have enough disk space.
If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the
Reference of the manufacturer for driver updates.
    Try changing video cards.
Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2
(the address of the exception) must identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system
has been launched with the /nodebug switch... This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly,
Make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the/debug switch.

In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:

Hardware incompatibility. Make sure all new hardware that is installed is listed in the
List of Microsoft Windows Marketplace tested products.
Service system or driver faulty device. A service driver or defective peripheral system can be
responsible for this error. Hardware problems, such as the incompatibilities of the BIOS, memory, conflicts
and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable
or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during startup
sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe
Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the system startup procedure
in Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third remote
control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the boot of the computer service
by using the Recovery Console, and then by removing the offending system service file.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the bug check 0x7E.

You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You should also
Run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system.
For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or
Once the installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and system
BIOS incompatibilities. For problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with the absence of disc
space, reduce the number of files on the disk drive hard target. Find and delete any temporary
the files that you do not have to have files hidden Internet, backup application and .chk files files that
contain fragments of file saved to disk scans. You can also use another hard drive with more drive
free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

    Hello

Blue error screen is mainly related to the driver problem. However, it might be also due to hardware problems. The blue screen error message may or may not contain useful information but the file record of emptying to the smallest set of useful information that may help identify why your computer behaves as such. • When you start to print on the hp 6100 the computer stops and a blue error screen

Starts to print on the hp 6100 the computer when to stop an a blue error screen appears, and the computer must be restarted? Help this is driving me nuts.

    Hi William,.

Do you receive an error message or error code?

Blue screen can be caused by hardware and software issues.

Try the following and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

Try to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check if it helps.

    Uninstall a program: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Install a printer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/install-a-printer

Download HP drivers and software - specify product name

    Method 2:

Refer to the steps in the following Microsoft article and check.

Resolve stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

    Notes:

Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Before you perform the upgrade on the spot, I would recommend you to back your files using windows backup.

  • Error of the main battery (internal) "601".

I have this error when I turn on the laptop: main (internal) battery error "601". From software battery check I have check the battery and software say: This battery works fine but it needs to be calibrated. But I can't calibrate the battery. I think the internal battery of the error is the cmos on laptop battery, right? What should do? Thank you.

    DJ.

This is your main battery not the CMOS battery.

    Judgment of the laptop.

Remove the main battery will then serve to start.

    You receive the error message?

If the main battery (internal) (601) appears in the alert message, it means that the battery capacity main (internal) storage measured is less than 25% of the original storage capacity. The number "601" indicates the associated error code that is logged in the system log.

They should change to say the MAIN battery.

  • Tecra M10 - CMOS battery is low and powers down and upwards automatically

    Toshiba TECRA M10 - 10W
    Model no PTMB1E-00P003EN

This laptop was working fine last week and is only about 1 year.

Now to the power he reports the CMOS battery is weak and penetrates into the configuration screen to set the date and time.

Once this is done, it shuts down and no more automatically, but everything works the CPU fan to high speed, no attempt to start etc.

If you press the power button with the fan running, it will be power downwards and upwards (while it is still connected to the power grid) and again to report a problem with the CMOS battery.

Any ideas on what is wrong and what can be done to fix this?

    Hello

First the CMOS battery can be charged while you let the connected AC/DC adapter, for example 24 hours a day. After that, the message CMOS battery shouldn't t appears more.
    Check this box!

The power automatically power cycle on and off can represent a danger due to a hardware malfunction can you start in Windows or in fact that happen before?
Maybe it s overheating and you need to clean the laptop using a jet of compressed air.

  • I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion went well, I restarted the computer, I get a blue screen and the computer restarts

I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards

  • Harder and harder to get the machine going. Below error messages.

My computer was becoming progressively more difficult and harder to go there every day. When I get an error code is as below. I do not always get one. Most of the time it will allow me to make the sign of the screen. However, after that it will freeze or restart at random times during the boot process. I was at a forum to find viruses, spyware or adaware and all unpleasant things. My machine was clean. So I guess I have another question. So, I'm here to ask for help with this error message. Thanks for your help to solve this problem.
