Hello

could a. you give us the exact error message?

1. man sure you have all the prerequisites installed for this game install and run.

2 another possibility would be that the data on the CD is damaged. You can clean the CD with a soft cloth and then try to install the game. Or copy the contents of the CD to the desktop, and then run the install from there.
3 try to run the installer as administrator and check. Right-click on the Setup file and click Run as administrator.
4. try to install the game in the boot environment.
Note: once you put the computer in a clean boot state settings ensure that you restart the computer and update the application.

Clean clean boot:
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
The user account control permission.

3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after starting the computer, try to install the game now.

8 reset the computer to start as usual

In case your iPhone needs to be repaired, you will have to bring it back to the country of purchase. If so, you should buy your phone in the country where you want to use permanently.

  • Qosmio X 870-can't play Battlefield

    Hi all

I got a beta key for Battlefield extremist, but I can not play.

I think the problem is, it starts with the Intel HD 4000, I cannot rightlick on the .exe and start it with the NVidia card, because if I do, it opens "Battlelog"-> Google Chrome.

Google Chrome does not give me the option to choose the graphics card, so I feel forced to use the Intel HD 4000 to play Battlefield?

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I appreciate any kind of help!

    null

Unfortunately, I can't help you with this. What I can say is that I think that the Qosmio X 870 is good machine and the games in general should not be a problem. I don't think you can find the description of similar problem on this forum.

Try to visit a few game forums where people discuss these issues. Maybe you will find detailed explanations.

    Hello

I have the big problem that I can't play Battlefield on my laptop. The driver Nvidia are old (the latest version on the Toshiba site is 71,90). I hope that Toshiba will update the display driver as soon as possible! Is anyone here, here playing battlefield on a Satellite A80 Notebook?

    Greetings

    Hello

If you can t find the driver for this device, you can try to search in other series of laptops that have the same graphics card.
In addition, you can visit the graphics manufacturer for this driver. But note:
No driver Toshiba cannot damage the graphics card. You can use it at your own risk.

As far as I know, the Toshiba graphics card drivers have a function of protection due to overheating problems.
In this case, you can always find the most recent graphics driver updates.

Any news on the new drivers from Toshiba?

    Hello Norsk

The response from EA is a standard response, and it is well known that the laptop users are to use drivers designed by the manufacturers of portable. As you know the graphics cards used in laptops are not so powerful as the desktop graphics cards. There are various reasons for this, but the most important is overheating.

You can try to use the driver provided by the manufacturer of the graphics card, but there is no guarantee that it can be installed properly. The only thing I can recommend is to play games using the low graphics settings.

I have the same situation with my Satellite P20, but using the low graphics settings I am able to play my favorite games.

  • Tecra S2 crashes during playback of DVD of battlefield 1942 or watch

    Hello

I have a Tecra S2 with the following specifications:

    1.73 Ghz
    1 GB OF RAM
    GB of Nvidia 6600

    Software:
    Operating system recovery cd
    MS Office
    Norton Internet security
    Logitec Webcam drivers
    Sync Nokia Software
    (all updates made)

When I play Battlefield 1942 or watching DVDs, the laptop fails. The screen freezes just after playing for a while. Nothing works anymore but the reboot of the computer (with prolonged pressure on the power button). While I can play before the crash varies from 1 to 30 (+) minutes. It happens with battery and AC power (with and without the battery).

I tried to disable the sound card in the hardware Manager. I have disabled all programs beginning on startup with msconfig. I reinstalled the drivers of graphics (Toshiba download). I played a bit with the resolutions and other graphic parameters.

    Nothing helps.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the help
    Charly

    Hello Karl

It's not easy to say why your device breaks down but the high temperature can be a reason.
If play you games or watch DVDs all the laptop parts (i.e. graphics card, CPU, etc) running at high performance and produce a lot of heat. In this case, you should check the cooling fans if they can work properly and if they are clean. If this isn't the case, you can use the vacuum cleaner to clean the fans. If the cooling fan is dusty it can t work properly and the temperature rises.

  • Tecra A7 X 1600 & ticking of the speakers in Battlefield 2

    Hello

I own a Tecra A7 - and I am unconvinced with him... the only less is the not-so-fast x 1600... mobility is not not as fast as other x 1600 mobility.

The 3dmark05 score is much lower than any other unit (non-toshiba) with mobility x 1600.
I installed RivaTuner and I as I expected, the card was much slower than the other x 1600 mobility.
The info on the site says nothing about an x 1600 clocked slower. (He says nothing about the clock speeds).
It's really disappointing to get a score of 2xxx in 3dmark05 when you wait twenty 3xxx, from reading a lot of revies of the x 1600.
I could have just as well buy a non-toshiba with a 6600 unit GB card and get higher scores!
My opinion is that toshiba has put these technical notes, (clock speed) of their specifications to units´, on the site.
In any case, it's too late to get another device... next time, I feel compelled to call toshiba first for info like that.

    So here's my question:

When I'm playing battlefield 2, I always here some sound delay speakers... I hear it in the menu (when the music plays), when loading a game (when the music also plays) and when I'm in the game itself.
I don't have this problem with battlefield 2, all other sounds are OK, also in other games etc.

I have the latest drivers (there is not much available driver updates, most are already 6 months old... another disappointment!) installed for everything and I also tried older audio drivers.

It makes no difference if I install my own windows xp pro or one provided by toshiba... but but works fine with other games, etc... just the ticking of battlefield 2.

Thank you in advance if anyone can help me.

    Hello

What about Hugo? I put t really know if the Tecra is the best machine for the games. As you know much better performance, you can have on some satellites and, of course, on Qosmio laptops. This is a stupid situation, if one of your favorite games doesn't work properly and the performance is not as expected.

I don't see a lot of possibilities. Try to use the graphics designed if possible driver. On this way, you can force the graphics card to work best, but the result may be overheating.

Before the end of the game all unnecessary processes in the Task Manager and make sure that the application of antivir is disabled (very often slow laptop performance).
