  OK, so the thing is my girlfriend trying to format his computer, but the copy of his windows xp installation (for compaq) cd that came with his computer somehow got broken in two (don't ask me how), heres so my question, can I use my own installation cd (came with my compaq too) to install the operating system?   If your XP CD is a true operating system CD and not a recovery CD AND it is for the same exact version of Windows installed on the computer of your friend (Home/Pro/Media Center) then you can use it to reinstall Windows and use its product key. Then you go to the website of HP and download/install all drivers and utilities from his computer. If your XP CD is a CD recovery or a different version of Windows, you can not use it. In any case, it would be best to contact HP and purchase replacement for his computer recovery media. It is usually very cheap, ~ $25-30.

  You will need to create two separate Adobe ID, each will be charged separately.

  If you have already access to one of the computers that you will use for the second account, just sign out after which it should be an option to create a new Adobe ID.

  You'll want to create a new and sign up for Creative cloud just like you did previously.

  I'm trying to set up a connection by serial cable with serial cable RS232 DB9 female-female between 2 PCs, one with Windows 7 and Windows 8.
  
  For the initial check of the cable, I used a terminal program such as HyperTerminal, PuTTY, RealTerm. But none of the PC was able to read/write data from the port. I shorted her transmit and receive pins (2 & 3) at one end with a jumper (PIN stapler) for a loop to return the data to the Terminal.   The problem is your trying to use both ports 'exit' to connect two computers / never going to work.

  VGA ports are for v's t. 'If' they are able to c.p.. otherwise, you will need to use a HDMI to the TV which is also an exit from the c.p.

  If you notice your computer and your monitor using a DVI port connection not a VGA.

  And no you can not use a DVI cable either :)

  One method would be to have FCP X installed on Mac and use a fast external disk to store your libraries.

  The libraries will open and be usable on Mac.

  Just make sure that the media is stored as managed and not external.

  (1) how can I set where I am primary and my wife is a secondary antibody (or at least a parent who may approve things)?

  What I mean by my statement is that as long as the child is managed by a single parental control (for example you as the account parent principal, manipulation of the child), the settings on the Web site will be synchronized on all machines).

  Regarding your second question, it would be necessary on behalf of primary parent to have a user account for both computers. It would be better if you remove parental control on both machines first configuration so the settings would be better implemented according to the configuration you prefer.
