BEA-160197: ADF Simple application cannot deploy on integrated weblogic

JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0

Simple JSF ADF application fails to test locally on integrated weblogic. I have never seen this and don't have a clue where to look for the problem. Anyone?

Wow magic ;) Try the resorts of closing and opening Jdev, remove the system directory and see if it helps...
Alternatively, maybe you can try to delete this file, record everything, clean your project and create a new weblogic application. XML described here - How to change weblogic - application.xml

  • Deploy the ADF web application and forms and reports Services on the same installation of Weblogic Server

I have forms and reports already installed on the Weblogic Server.

Now, I want to install ADF web Application on the same server, Weblogic.

Is it really possible to have forms & reports services and the application of the adf on the same installation of weblogic server?

Please suggest / guide me on how to achieve the task above.

Here are the details of my wls, forms and reports, and adf web application

    • WebLogic Server version 10.3.5
    • Forms & Reporst 11 GR 2
    • ADF web application developed using JDeveloper 11.1.2.4

    Hello

  • ClassNotFound on Jdev11g for ADF web application

I recently installed version jdev11g release on my environment. My ADF web application is deployed on weblogic server (by default). When I try to access a page, I keep getting ClassNotFoundException

    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.log4j.Logger
    in java.net.URLClassLoader$ 1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200)
    at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged (Native Method)
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)

I had checked double I have log4j - 1.2.14.jar in my class path. This app worked fine when I had the technology review version of Jdev11 using OC4J instead of Weblogic.

I also create a simple java application that uses same as pots used on my ADF web application and I only see ClassNotFoundException. The two application has the same external jars in the classpath.

I'm not sure on exactly what is happening here, it would be great if someone can help and give me a few pointer on this

    Thank you
    Tony

    Did you read this part:

There is a second possible problem that is specific to the commons-logging and related libraries when it is used with integrated WLS and out-of-the-box configuration (including ADF). Because commons - logging.jar is apparently in the system classpath, attributable to the delegation of the ClassLoader Java works, all log4j at the level of the web application are not visible to the factory default journal. As long as this is the case, you may need to add the following to your web application WEB - INF / weblogic.xml:

    true

What it does is tell the servlet JSP WLS to let the web application classes to ignore the classes in the system class loader. Standard Java class loader delegation gives priority to system classes.

  • Changes on request not visible when it is deployed in the weblogic application server

    Hi all

I have an ADF faces application that runs on a weblogic server.
Application works fine, but I added a few features on some pages.

I tested it with Jdeveloper and the build in weblogic server, that works very well.
Now, I have deployed my application (trough the menu application-> deploy) to the weblogic server.

When I open the application now, I don't see the changes I made!
In the menu that I did run Build-> Make and Build-> rebuild but this did not help.

    What is causing this behavior?

    Thank you is advanced.

Try first cancel the deployment of the server application, and then deploy it again.
Then, you clear the browsers cache...

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] A few questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish"

    Hallo (Shay),

I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

    Creating a connection pool

    • I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
    • Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
    • Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
    • What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

    In JDeveloper application configuration

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

Taking care of the libraries used by the application

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

    Other questions

    • What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
    • Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
    • My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

These are a lot of questions.

I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

    Ciao,.

    Federico

Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

    >>

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

    >>

    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.3) supported systems

    >>

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files that I put inC:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

Use the properties of project-> libraries and class path to add the jar or create a library and add it to your project.

Make sure that this library is deployed by default.

    >>

    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial can also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server

    Yes

Yes, when you submit your application to appworld or if you want to share with other rules it must be signed.

If you decide not to use a token of debugging to test your application then each bar file must be signed also.

  • [ADF Essentials, JDev12.1.3, MS SQL Server] About to restore backup/restore error when the application is deployed on GlassFish. How...?

    Hallo,

follow the suggestions of Timo Hahn and kdario , I created a panelTabbed with main tables form & details according to this thread Re: [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Master af:form w/read only af:tables detail: how to handle insert and edit through forms?

The modification/insertion for readonly tables is managed using a form of popup.

Before displaying the form, I create a backup that I restore it if the user click Cancel on the shortcut menu.

Everything works well on the integrated WebLogic Server, but now that I have deployed the application on GlassFish Server I noticed an odd error.

The < <the connection to the server has failed (status = 500)> > error when I click the button cancel from the context menu (Cancel involves restoring the backup) and the empty line added before opening the context menu and create the backup point is left blank in the table.

In the server log, I read this error:

Caused by: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: call Impossible a commit operation when the AutoCommit is set to 'true '.

    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException.makeFromDriverError(SQLServerException.java:190)

The check points are not compatible with GlassFish/ADF Essentials or it is - AS I HOPE -some adjustments to make with regard to transactions in GlassFish?

Until now I deplyed on GlassFish than an application of readonly.

I see now that the problem also occurs when the call of the AOS restore operation is should not be due to the use of the backup point.

It is the configuration of the Connection Pool in GlassFish (sorry it's in Italian)...

    Hello Dario,

the solution to the problem really seems to check 'non transactional connections' (with nothing to do in the code of the application) in the GlassFish connection pool configuration.

I did a lot of tests: commit, rollback and save points works like movement.

See you later for another thrilling adventure!

    Thank you

  • How to add jsession ID to an ADF web application deployed in weblogic server?

    Hello

I use jdeveloper 11.1.2.4 version. Can anyone tell please how to add custom JSESSIONID (BLTSESSIONID) to the URL of the web application ADF that must be deployed in weblogic server. I tried the following approach. but it did not work for me.

    in webogic.xml, I added

    < session descriptor - >

    < name > BLTSESSIONID < / cookie-name >

    < / session descriptor >

However, I've added the weblogic.xml manually from the gallery.

Could someone help me on this please?

    Thank you

You don't have to add the session ID to the URL. The Web application automatically manages session IDS. By default, it uses an HTTP cookie (a cookie with name JSESSIONID) therefor. The Web application will automatically add it to the URL only if it detects that the client browser does not support cookies (for example, if the user has disabled cookies in the browser). By adding the lines above to weblogic.xml you just changed the name of cookie JSESSIONID to BLTSESSIONID default session. This is useful only if you have access to a couple of different Web applications from one and the same server and you want every application to maintain a clean session (for example, each application having a different session cookie name). If all applications on the server use one and same name cookie (JSESSIONID for example) and you have access to more than one application at the same time in one and the same browser (and even multiple instances of the browser, with the exception of some special cases), you will not be able to work with these applications correctly because the next access to another application will replace the cookie and you will lose the session to the requests earlier. Because HTTP cookies are maintained at the level of server name, it's not at the level of application root. In this case, you must specify the application names specific cookie (what you did above).

Origignal title: Apps does not work.

I got Windows 7 Starter I have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro on my mini HP laptop, but when I select no matter what application I get the following message

    "This application cannot open.

The screen resolution is too low for this app run

    Change your screen resolution.

and when I press 'Edit your screen resolution' I found the screen resolution is the maximum 1024 x 600.

Under him, I found the following warning "" your resolution is less than 1024 x 768 elements could not fit and applications could not open

    Please advise?

I know this is an old thread, but I came across it looking for a solution to the same problem. It turns out that my problem has a cause simple and simple solution. I had accidentally pressed the "multiple displays" function key on my keyboard (F4 on my HP Envy) and therefore affect my screen out of two monitors without realizing it. I started getting the error "the screen resolution is too low for this application to run", came here, tried to change my resolution screen and then realized what I had done. Once I changed the key function to the PC only, the problem has been resolved.

  • the application cannot be launched because it lacks the location information

    Hi all

I'm bringing it back in action a Tungsten T that I've not used one year.  I want to install Filemaker Mobile 8 on the device.  I use Mobile in Filemaker 8 on my Treo 650 with success.

The issue I'm facing is as indicated in the subject of my post:

"the application cannot be launched because it lack of location information" is the message I get after selecting Filemaker Mobile on my Tungsten T.

In order to solve the problem, I looked at length the web including this forum.

The post with the most relevance were found on this forum so that I am registered in order to post on this site for the first time:

    http://forums.Palm.com/Palm/board/message?board.ID=macintosh_hotsync&thread.ID=1005

Page 3 of this post, there is a solution extremely well explained.

To you, my questions are the following:

    1. in your expert opinion is only applicable to my situation (xp pro) post even if the solution of this post was in a Mac environment?

are 2 - there any other avenue better/more simple/different to solve my problem?

Just to let know your with my process so to solve this problem on mine:

A I reloaded the Tungsten T and synced with 5.4.5 on two different PCs that I use for my 650.  The two worked sync is installed but I still got the abobe mentionned message when I was trying to launch Mobile 8 on the T.

B I decided to hard reset the unit (following the post mentioned above on this forum) and synchronized again but this time on a third xp pro pc that has been wiped with zeros (hderase) with a brand new xp pro a few weeks to install.  I then installed on this pc "fresh" 4.1.4 palm because this OS is the one recommended by Palm for a T.  I have synced (everything went well), installed Mobile 8 on this pc (as recommended by Filemaker), did a quick install of Filemaker on Palm desktop, synchronized again.  FileMaker installed and I have not received any synchronization error.  When I tried to launch Mobile on my T, I got the above message again "...". missing location information"on the screen of the T.

So you help understand me this so that I can use this Tungsten T once again?

Thanks in advance for your prompt cooperation on this issue, I want this funtionnal device as soon as POSSIBLE.

    See you soon

You can try the steps suggested in the link you posted earlier and see if it can resolve the error. They were for another program and on the MAC, but it can be useful.

Put the Filemaker .prc file in quick setup to synchronize with the T?

I looked at the article referenced in the previous post, here is the article.

    Hello

to quote "The Oracle® Fusion Middleware of Oracle JDeveloper User Guide" (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/user.1112/e17455/deploying_apps.htm#sthref464)

+ "' You can control how an application is deployed by using a deployment plan that allows you to make settings of configuration in the Web.XML for application, weblogic.xml, application.xml and weblogic deployment descriptors - application.xml." + "

It does not list the specific connections.xml of ADF

Here's a post explaining how to use a URL of proxy in a the Web.XML context parameter: http://biemond.blogspot.de/2009/04/using-weblogic-deployment-plan-to.html

Not sure whether this also works in your case
