• How can I turn off default 1 search result in the awesome bar?

  Since the release of 43, it seems that the Awesome bar fills the first result as a generic 'visit' or 'Search' for anything typed in the bar. It's very frustrating because I know where I want to go, and my search history used to fill specific sites, I went to. • I can't the elements removed from the Awesome Bar

  For the latest versions of Firefox, I always wanting to old URLS will appear in the Awesome bar. No matter what I try to delete them, they do not disappear. I did everything suggested (delete history, erase cache, reload with a version of Firefox, etc) - no luck.   I just upgraded to FF34 and having a horrible time, everything works well again. My current problem is that when I type a name in the awesome bar, it will not look at ALL my favorites. It shows some, but not all. For example if I type Dev, it shows correctly my bookmark for the Guru Dev. If I type fire, it shows nothing even though I have 4-5 bookmarks related to firefox. If I type the letter "s" I see 5 favorite partners but not good. I have the address bar in the historical settings and bookmarks. I have not found solutions on the web and am at a loss what to try next. I even deleted the bookmark and it added. Doesn't seem to help.

  I eventually found my own solution. For anyone who is interested, here is what I had to do to solve this problem:

  Save the file
  Closing of Firefox
  Go to the Mozilla Director profile (on a Windows 7 box is probably in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\YouFireFoxProfileName)
  Make a copy of the folder bookmarkbackups, places.sqlite, places.sqlite - shm and places.sqlite - wal
  Remove all files in the bookmarkbackups folder
  Delete the places.sqlite, places.sqlite - shm and places.sqlite - wal
  Open Firefox
  Press Ctrl + Shift + B to display all bookmarks
  Click on import and backup
  Click on restore > > choose file
  Select the file from earlier

  You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.
