  Well, I'm exhausted, trying to find an answer or the mandatory update.

  It all started with me wanting to improve Windows Live messenger. I had Windows Vista with SP1. Then I was told (by Windows Live Installer) that I need to install SP2. So I downloaded and installed Windows Vista SP2 for my 32 System x.

  I tried again to update my Windows Live messenger. Now, the installer told me to install Windows Live essentials. So that (Windows Live Essentials) installed on my system, I found that I had to install the "platform for Windows Vista (KB971644) update".

  I followed the instructions on Windows Live Essentials Help Center, viz., start/Windows Update / check updates available updates/view, but could not find «Platform for Windows Vista (KB971644) update»

  I searched the internet and the Microsoft Web site for the update of platform required, but have not found anywhere. So someone please help!

  Apparently, Microsoft wants to make it virtually impossible to get this update unless one goes to suspect 3rd party sites to download from the KB for 971644 article says NOT a way to get this update from a Microsoft site to trust other than Windows Update, which does NOT update.

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

  After reinstalling, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  You don't need any CD. Go to the HP Support and drivers website,
  and search for your printer. Find the appropriate driver for your version of
  Windows, download it, install it and follow the prompts.

  DirectX 11 is built into Windows.  Cannot be much simpler than that.  Your graphics card only supports DirectX 10.  No nVidia graphics card currently supports DX11, only high-end ATI Radeon. • Color LaserJet CP1025nw: new PC Windows 10, said CP1025nw is Offline after find and install it.

  My CP1025nw is on my wired network Ethernet. My new desktop to Winows 10 PC finds it and it installs, watch even correct for this IP address in the info page of HP. But it will not print to it. Says it is Offline, tells me to turn it on. But if it is not enabled, how my PC find it and get his IP address? I can even ping by using Windows PowerShell.

  My other PC on the network print to it. This PC also running Windows 10, as an update to 8.1

  I tried to remove and re-add several times. Have rebooted several times, turned the printer on and off many times.

  BTW, I do not use the direct wireless functionality for this printer. It's all pure Ethernet/TCP-IP, Wired.

  It looks like a bug in the driver. How can I get a driver that works well, like my other 10 PC of Windows? I use all the HP tools that I can find. They say that there is no update pending for this driver.

  It looks like it could be communication issue between your computer and the printer or there is a problem in Windows.

     5. Double-click the file: flashplayer_10_3r183_90_mac_intel.dmg mound the dmg and display the Setup application
     6. Double-click the Install Adobe Flash Player.app icon to launch the installation program
     7. Follow the instructions to complete the installation

  Note that most of the modern browsers will block this version of Flash Player because she is old and fragile.
