  IM using Lightroom 6 and have a problem with the radial tool. I can make a selection and see what I'm trying to change, but if I make a change that the entire image is selected and not the section inside or out of the radial tool.

  Resolved - when you use radial tool sharpening box opens with the least of the black arrows to the right. If the arrow to point down all the selections change opens. Otherwise the options available are only those who change the whole picture. Solved... and all that for the smallest of the black arrows.

• Brush the new tools for Lightroom

  Yes, I am one of those annoying newbie. I'm trying to clear up the eyes. I use the Brush tool. I see it in red that it is where I want it to be on the iris. Then when I try to make adjustments, it excludes the brushed part and that the rest of the photo. It must be an easy fix that I'm missing. Can what settings I change? Thank you very much!

  Your explanation"does for the rest of the photo... "seems to indicate that you can not use the Brush tool. Which suggests you might have the Radial tool filter active.

  The Brush tool is enabled / disable it with the key "K".

  The 'red' you see is an indicator of overlay which can be turned off by the 'o' key (or change of color with Shift + O")

  If you do not use the radial filter for a 'ring' above the eyes [SHIFT + M], you need to invert the Radial filter with a check mark in the "Invert mask" box (or press the quote button [']. " The filter is then applied within the circle.

• (CS4) Question about the gradient tool

  There was a time where the default behavior for the gradient tool was "transparent foreground.

  Then, at some point, the default behavior has become "repeat the last gradient" - Although the last gradient was a FX applied to a layer.

  I find the boring this last as hell, and slow, I have to click on the gradient and manually select "transparent foreground" each time I need to use it.

  Is it possible to change this default behavior?

  Nope. I filed a bug report on this way at the time, but apparently it was not important enough to be changed in an update.

  The other day my radial tool began to behave badly. Now, when I click to start a new selection, is no longer gives me the outline to create the shape and starts just show growing in a small area or such... I must have done something to someone at - it a fix or had it happen you?

  Hi all

  I found that it is more difficult to explain than I thought

  I don't like the new behavior in the latest version of Photoshop (CC 2015.1) regarding the way in which the background layers automatically unlock and convert to regular layers after using the crop tool. It's completely different to how things worked in previous versions, where a background layer remained in locked state flattened after using the crop tool.

  I get a LOT of images and this change has added an extra step to each image that I harvest, because I flatten the layers after cropping before saving the image. I looked through the preferences but cannot find a way to change this new behavior. Am I missing something?

  See if checking Delete the cropped Pixels in the tool options makes a difference.

  

• It miss the size and feather sliders in the adjustment and filter Radial tools LR CC 2015

  I am under Lightroom CC 2015 on a PC running windows 7. It's my main work machine and I miss the radial size of the filter, but have the feather sliders and I'm missing in the adjustment Brush tool feather but have the size. I will not have it on my laptop or another system. Because it is my main work system, I'd love to see them both.

  Anyone else seeing this?

  1 there is no MATCH for the radial filter.  Resize right in the work area.

  2. click on the black triangle above and to the right of the cursor size to open the additional tools for the adjustment brush.

  If Safe Mode works, which usually means that one of your extensions is the origin of the problem.

  You can try to disable the more less frequent - Garmin and AVG - on the addons page. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
